Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Concealing plate for fences Object of the invention
[0001] The present invention relates to a panel for covering a section of a rigid fence consisting of a grid of horizontal and vertical wires, which delimits a fence, such that a number of panels can conceal the inside of the fence from the outside. Installation of the panels is easy, economical, and achieves the desired result without additional complexity. Technological background
[0002] In the current state of the art, concealment mesh is known to be used as fencing on construction sites or for permanent enclosures. In the former case, a solution is normally sought that reduces costs while providing a visible result. In other words, the main objective is to ensure that the materials and tools used on a construction site do not need to be hidden, but can remain exposed, without the need to waste time constantly storing and retrieving them. For this purpose, elements based on planks or windbreak mesh are often used, which are not very concealable but fulfill the intended purpose.
[0003] Document ES1057098U refers to a perimeter fence used to visually isolate an enclosure delimited by various means, such that said means may consist of posts anchored in the ground between which wires and / or a metal fence may be positioned as a support element, the perimeter fence being placed on and fixed to the support element, which may consist of plastic slats of generally semi-circular cross-section, attached and fixed to the wires and / or the perimeter metal fence, such that the improved fence described in this report consists of plastic slats of generally elliptical cross-section where each certain number of slats has, in an intervening position,Reinforcing elements of greater rigidity and equal height, with a generally rectangular hollow section and rounded short sides, featuring internal reinforcing ribs, will be used to achieve anchoring to the basic perimeter metal fence.
[0004] However, this invention has the disadvantage of consisting of a complete mesh, of certain dimensions, which must be selected in advance before it can be implemented in a given fence.
[0005] Document ES2829210T3 describes a shading device for attaching slats to a rigid mesh panel using vertical and horizontal wires. The device includes a profile, which forms a slat-receiving portion extending in the longitudinal direction of the profile and includes a base and a vertical wall attached to the base, where the base can retain, during use, the lower ends of the slats which are received in the space defined between the plane containing the horizontal wires of the rigid mesh panel and the vertical wall of the profile, and which are each arranged between two successive vertical wires of the rigid mesh panel. In addition, the profile also includes several fixing pieces, carried along the bottom of the profile, at a certain distance from the vertical wall of the receiving part of the slats to also allow the lower end of at least one slat to be received between the fixing piece and said vertical wall, where each fixing piece includes fixing means for fixing the profile to a horizontal wire of the rigid grating panel, where the fixing means have a length which allows them, in use, to be positioned between two successive vertical wires of the rigid grating panel.
[0006] However, this device has the disadvantage of being complex to implement, which, although it has the advantage of providing stability, increases the price of the product to such an extent that it is not certain that it can be implemented on a large scale.
[0007] The present invention solves the aforementioned problems by means of the present invention, which consists of concealment plates that are very easy to manufacture and implement in fences and, at the same time, very economical to manufacture and install. Description of the invention
[0008] The present invention relates to a privacy screen intended to be attached to a rigid wire mesh fence comprising horizontal and vertical rods.
[0009] The present invention relates to a concealment plate, consisting of an elongated plate, intended to be fixed to a rigid mesh fence comprising horizontal and vertical rods, characterized in that it comprises two pairs of holes, each pair being aligned longitudinally, located on the two end sections of the plate.
[0010] The plate consists of an elongated plate and includes two pairs of holes, the holes of each pair being aligned longitudinally, so as to be fixed to the horizontal bars of the fence by means of clips or similar elements. In addition, each pair of holes is located at one end of the plate, i.e., near the end, in order to ensure the stability of the fixing.
[0011] In addition, preferably, the plate has a lateral rim on each of the longitudinal edges in order to give the plate additional rigidity.
[0012] The plate may also include a longitudinal central rib. This, combined with the lateral edges, gives the plate even greater structural rigidity.
[0013] In addition, the plate may have a third pair of holes located in a central area of the plate. This arrangement is preferably used in cases where the fence is higher than 1.20 meters. Brief description of the drawings
[0014] In order to complete the description and to help to better understand the features of the invention, in accordance with a preferred example of a practical embodiment, a set of drawings is attached hereto as an integral part of said description, in which the following is shown in an illustrative and non-limiting manner:
[0015] Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of the plate of the invention with an inserted clamp intended to be fixed to a rigid wire mesh fence.
[0016] Fig. 2A shows a front view of the plate of the invention in a first embodiment.
[0017] Fig. 2B shows a front view of the plate of the invention in a second embodiment.
[0018] Fig. 3 shows a perspective view of a rigid wire mesh fence, from outside the fence, incorporating a pair of assembled strips.
[0019] Below is a list of the different elements shown in the figures with their associated numerical references:
[0020] 1. Tape drive
[0021] 2. Holes.
[0022] 3. Side wings.
[0023] 4. Intermediate reinforcement.
[0024] 5. Horizontal rod.
[0025] 6. Vertical stem.
[0026] 7. Closure Detailed description
[0027] A preferred embodiment of the concealment plate according to the present invention is described below with reference to the figures.
[0028] As shown in [Fig. 3], the plate 1 of the invention is configured to be installed vertically on a rigid wire mesh fence 7, of the Hercules type or similar. The plate 1 covers the entire height of the fence 7 and is located between two consecutive vertical posts 6.
[0029] As shown in [Fig. 1], the plate 1 of the invention has two pairs of holes 2 for which a plastic collar is subsequently attached around a horizontal rod 5 located in an upper area of the fence 7 and on another horizontal rod 5 located in a lower area of the fence 7. The incorporation of the two clips, one at the top and the other at the bottom, ensures a stable attachment of the plate 1 to the fence 7. Only one of the clips is shown in [Fig. 1], although the insertion of the other clip does not present any major complication as shown in the figure.
[0030] The plate 1 can have a smooth, plank-like configuration. However, a suitable manufacturing method, focused on simplicity and economy, is a plastic extrusion process. Thus, in order to obtain constant rigidity of the plate 1, it is preferable to equip it with a configuration including lateral wings 3, as illustrated in [Fig. 2A], or also including a central rib 4 in addition to the lateral wings 3, as illustrated in [Fig. 2B], in order to ensure even greater rigidity.
[0031] As can be seen in [Fig. 3], the lateral wings 3 and the central rib 4 are raised towards the inner area that protects the fence 7. In this way, the lateral wings 3 are protected from potential vandalism from the outside and can be destroyed, thus compromising the aesthetic appeal of the panels 1 and presenting a negative image from the outside. In the case of the central rib 4, moreover, the collar is protected in a certain way, as it is within the hole it forms, as can be seen in Figures 1 and 3, which makes it difficult to cut and therefore to remove the panel 1 from the fence 7 from the outside.
[0032] Although the plates 1 can completely close the enclosure created by the fence 7, this is not the main objective. Indeed, in a Hercules-type fence 7, such as that of [Fig. 3], the enclosure created is not airtight, but there are small openings in the projections generated by the vertical rods 6 of this type of fence 7.
[0033] The fence 7 is generated by welding the vertical rods 6 to the horizontal rods 5. Thus, the rigid mesh fence 7 will always have a rail defined by two adjacent vertical rods 6, where the plate 1 will be installed. In addition, the horizontal rods 5 will also be accessible in each of the rails for attaching the plate 1 using the clamps.
[0034] On the other hand, the use of clamps is entirely optional, and any other means of fastening can be used, such as a simple wire inserted into each pair of holes 2 and twisted to generate the fastening tension.
