Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Console support for a motor vehicle roof panel
[0001] The technical context of the present invention is that of motor vehicle interior trim, and in particular the technical components that make up the roof panels of such interiors. More specifically, the invention relates to a console support for a roof panel of a motor vehicle.
[0002] In the prior art, a roof console is known which is attached to a headliner in the passenger compartment of a motor vehicle. Such a roof console provides the occupants—and in particular the driver and front passenger—with lights, indicator lights, and / or control buttons. The roof console thus takes the form of a plate integrated into the interior headliner, to which these various electrical components are attached. Roof consoles are generally located near an interior rearview mirror, at the top of the windshield, and in a central position.
[0003] As mentioned previously, known roof consoles support various electrical components, such as, for example, lights, push buttons for an alarm, an alert, a control for opening and closing the side doors, or a light sensor... In order to guarantee the installation of known roof consoles equipped with all these electrical components, it is necessary to take into account sufficient clearances to allow installation without damaging the electrical harnesses that connect the electrical components to an on-board network of the motor vehicle.
[0004] Thus, a known drawback of prior art roof consoles lies in their size: due to the presence of the electrical components mentioned above, known roof consoles have significant dimensions, particularly in the vertical direction, in order to accommodate said electrical components and to allow the electrical connectors to pass through without damaging them, i.e., without pinching them during assembly or without excessively bending them. This oversizing of known roof consoles prevents optimization of the interior volume of the passenger compartment and constrains the dimensions of the roof console within the passenger compartment's roof structure.
[0005] In order to reduce the size of overhead consoles, the use of protective sheaths is known which, combined with electrical harnesses, protect them in case of pinching and ultimately reduce internal play. A drawback The known drawback of this solution is, of course, an increase in manufacturing costs.
[0006] The present invention aims to provide a new console support for a horn in order to address at least largely the previous problems and to lead to other advantages.
[0007] Another object of the invention is to reduce the bulk of a pavilion console equipped with such a console support.
[0008] Another object of the invention is to reduce the risk of pinching of electrical cables associated with electrical components mounted on the roof console.
[0009] Another object of the invention is to propose such a console support that is economical.
[0010] According to a first aspect of the invention, at least one of the aforementioned objectives is achieved with a console support for a roof panel of a motor vehicle, the console support comprising:
[0011] - a base comprising anchoring means with a pavilion bracket, of so that a headliner trim is sandwiched between the console support and the headliner console which extends across an opening in the headliner trim;
[0012] - a plurality of platforms all extending from an upper face of the base and which form caps for each electrical device intended to be fixed securely to the roof console, the plurality of platforms comprising a connection platform forming a protrusion above a passage light of an electrical device of the roof console.
[0013] According to the invention, the connection platform includes a gutter extending from a lateral edge of the protrusion, so as to allow the passage and bending of a connection cable of the electrical device of the roof console.
[0014] In the context of the present invention, a longitudinal axis, a lateral axis and a vertical axis are defined relative to the motor vehicle on which the console support conforming to the first aspect of the invention is intended to be mounted.
[0015] More specifically, the transverse axis is understood as a direction between one side of the motor vehicle and the opposite side of the same motor vehicle. In other words, the transverse axis is understood as a direction extending from a passenger side of the motor vehicle to a driver's side of the same motor vehicle, or vice versa. In particular, the transverse axis is also considered to be between the first two lateral edges of the console support base. The adjectives lateral, inside, and outside refer to such a transverse axis.
[0016] Furthermore, the longitudinal axis extends as if taken along a direction extending from front to back or from back to front of the motor vehicle. The axis The longitudinal axis is perpendicular to the transverse axis. In particular, the longitudinal axis is also considered to be between two second lateral edges of the console support base. The adjectives front, front, and rear refer to this longitudinal axis.
[0017] Finally, the vertical axis is understood to be taken along an axis extending from the wheels of the motor vehicle to the roof of said motor vehicle, or vice versa, the vertical axis being simultaneously perpendicular to the transverse axis and the longitudinal axis. In particular, the vertical axis is also considered to be perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the base of the console support. The adjectives above and below, or lower and upper, refer to this vertical axis.
[0018] In the context of the present invention, the overhead console forms a receiving structure for the electrical components—or electrical devices—integrated into the overhead console. The overhead console thus forms a contact and assembly surface for the electrical components that interface certain lighting and / or control functionalities within the overhead console and make them accessible to the passengers in the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle. During assembly, the overhead console is located on the inner side of the headliner. In other words, the overhead console covers the headliner on its side facing the passenger compartment of the motor vehicle. Put another way, the overhead console extends below the headliner, relative to the vertical axis.
[0019] In the context of the present invention, the headliner trim forms a trim piece for the roof lining at the point where the roof console is integrated into said roof lining. The headliner trim is configured to extend near the windshield, at the level of one of its upper edges. The headliner trim thus forms a decorative and finishing element of the roof console. The headliner trim has a large opening through which the electrical devices associated with the roof console extend. Thus, the electrical devices associated with the roof console extend from the roof console, through the opening in the headliner trim, and towards the console support, relative to the vertical axis.
[0020] In the context of the present invention, the console support forms a backing plate for the headliner console. The console support is configured to interact with both the headliner console and the headliner trim. The console support extends opposite the headliner console, but on the opposite side of the headliner trim. The console support covers the headliner console at the opening in the headliner trim. The console support is intended to be positioned outside the passenger compartment relative to the headliner trim. In other words, The console support is designed to extend over the headliner, so that the headliner extends into an intermediate position between the headliner console - passenger compartment side - and the console support - windshield side.
[0021] In the context of the present invention, the base forms a surface complementary to the headliner, its opening, and the headliner console. The base has the general shape of a plate whose dimensions and shape are larger than those of the headliner opening. The base has a generally flat or substantially flat shape. The base has a generally rectangular or, more generally, polygonal shape. The base comprises a lower face intended to bear against the headliner, and an upper face intended to be located at a distance from the headliner, on the side of the windshield of the motor vehicle.
[0022] In the context of the present invention, the platforms extend from the upper face of the base. The platforms form protrusions that define—on the underside of the base—cavities designed to house the electrical devices that are attached and securely fixed to the roof bracket. Thus, the bracket serves both as a cover for these electrical devices—via the platforms—and as an additional support for attaching the roof bracket to the roof lining, as previously mentioned. Each protrusion defining a platform and a cavity is itself delimited by lateral edges that form the peripheral walls of the cavity. On the underside of the base, between these lateral edges, the cavity forms a passageway for the electrical device located below it on the roof bracket.
[0023] In the context of the present invention, the gutter is a particular shape provided in one of the platforms—that is, the connection platform. The gutter is thus arranged as a depression oriented laterally to the connection platform and towards the cavity delimited by said connection platform, at the level of the underside of the base. The gutter thus forms a specific feature which allows, in the immediate vicinity of the cavity delimited by the connection platform, the housing or passage of an electrical cable of the electrical device associated with the cavity of said connection platform.Additionally, the platform thus defines a support surface for the electrical cable, along the vertical axis, so that the support cable does not extend further towards the rear of the console support, thus making it impossible for the cable to be pinched by a front horn crossbar used to "close" the front horn arrangement thus described.
[0024] Thus, the console support conforming to the first aspect of the invention solves the technical problem in that it reduces the risk of cable pinching Electrical connections associated with the electrical devices mounted on the roof console are facilitated by the presence of a channel for at least some of the connection platforms extending from the base of the console support. Consequently, the console support according to the invention reduces the overall bulk of the roof structure, as it allows for a reduction in the vertical gap between the console support—particularly at its upper surface and / or the connection platforms—and the front roof crossmember. Finally, such a console support is economical to manufacture because it can be produced by molding, in large quantities, and without adding material.
[0025] The console support according to the first aspect of the invention advantageously comprises at least one of the improvements below, the technical characteristics forming these improvements being able to be taken alone or in combination:
[0026] - the connection platform extends projecting above the upper face of The base, the base having, at the level of an inferior face of the base, a light which forms a cavity delimited by the protrusion of the connection platform. In other words, the light - defined at the level of the inferior face of the base, opens at the level of the connection platform into the cavity delimited by the lateral edges of the protrusion forming said connection platform;
[0027] - the connection platform has a general parallelepiped conformation. The connection platform extends outwards from the base, and in particular from the upper face of the base;
[0028] - the light is formed from the underside of the base and opens at the same time in the cavity and in front of one of the lateral edges of the protrusion defining the connection platform. In particular, the opening comprises a first part extending between the lateral edges of the protrusion forming the connection platform, and a second part extending outside the cavity defined by the lateral edges. In other words, the opening emerges at the top face of the base, in front of a lateral edge of the connection platform. This advantageous configuration allows an electrical connection cable to be passed from the cavity through the channel and then back towards the underside of the base through the second part of the opening;
[0029] - the connection platform comprises, at the level of the lateral edge on which the A counter-support rib is formed in the gutter to allow the electrical cable to bear against said counter-support rib, relative to the vertical axis. The counter-support rib is located above the gutter, that is, directly below it. The counter-support rib projects from one upper end of the lateral edge of the protrusion forming the connection platform. Preferably, the counter-support rib extends in projection from the lateral edge of the protrusion forming the connection platform and vertically from the second part of the corresponding light, arranged on the base;
[0030] - the gutter is delimited by a rounded profile at the level of an upper side of the protrusion forming the connection platform.
[0031] According to a second aspect of the invention, a front roof canopy arrangement for a motor vehicle is proposed, the front roof canopy arrangement comprising:
[0032] - a roof trim configured to cover an interior wall of the roof roof of the motor vehicle;
[0033] - a pavilion console supporting a plurality of electrical devices;
[0034] - a console support collaborating with the pavilion console, so that the headliner trim is sandwiched, at an opening in said headliner trim, between the headliner console and the headliner trim, an electrical device forming one of the electrical devices attached to the headliner console being associated with the connection platform of the console support, so that the electrical device extends through the passage light of the protrusion delimiting the connection platform of the console support, and an electrical cable connecting the electrical device extends into the cavity and is bent by the gutter of the connection platform.
[0035] The front arrangement of the pavilion according to the second aspect of the invention advantageously comprises at least one of the improvements below, the technical characteristics forming these improvements being able to be taken alone or in combination:
[0036] - the front roof arrangement includes a front roof crossmember which extends across the headliner, the front headliner crossmember spans the console support, creating a non-zero gap between the electrical cable of the electrical device and said front headliner crossmember. In other words, at the level of the gutter of the console support's connection platform, the electrical cable of the electrical device forms a bend by pressing against the gutter. In the context of the present invention, the front headliner crossmember serves as a mounting support for the aforementioned front headliner arrangement. The headliner console and / or the headliner support are fixed rigidly to the front headliner crossmember, which is itself fixed rigidly to a chassis structure of the vehicle's passenger compartment;
[0037] - the clearance is measured at the outlet of said elbow, that is to say at a distance from the elbow - taken along the direction of elongation of the electrical cable - between 0 mm and 20 mm from the lateral edge of the console support connection platform on which the gutter is formed. The clearance is an axial clearance taken along the vertical axis;
[0038] - the clearance is at least equal to 1 mm, preferably between 1 mm and 3 mm, preferably still equal to 2 mm.
[0039] According to a third aspect of the invention, a motor vehicle is proposed comprising a roof panel and a front roof arrangement conforming to the second aspect of the invention or to any one of its improvements.
[0040] Various embodiments of the invention are provided, incorporating, according to all their possible combinations, the different optional features set out here.
[0041] Other features and advantages of the invention will become apparent from the following description on the one hand, and from several illustrative and non-limiting examples of embodiments given with reference to the accompanying schematic drawings on the other hand, in which:

[0048] Of course, the features, variants, and different embodiments of the invention can be combined in various ways, provided they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. In particular, variants of the invention may be conceived comprising only a selection of features, described hereafter in isolation from the other described features, if this selection of features is sufficient to confer a technical advantage or to differentiate the invention from the prior art.
[0049] In particular, all the variants and all the embodiments described are combinable with each other, if nothing prevents this combination from a technical point of view.
[0050] In the figures, the elements common to several figures retain the same reference.
[0051] In the FIGURES described below, a longitudinal axis X, a lateral axis and a vertical axis Z are defined relative to the motor vehicle on which the console support 1, according to the invention, is intended to be mounted.
[0052] More specifically, the transverse axis Y is understood as a direction between one side of the motor vehicle and the opposite side of the same motor vehicle. In other words, the transverse axis Y is understood as a direction extending from a passenger side of the motor vehicle to a driver's side of the same motor vehicle, or vice versa. In particular, the transverse axis Y is also considered to be between the first two lateral edges 131 of the base 11 of the console support 1. The adjectives lateral, inside, and outside refer to such a transverse axis Y.
[0053] Furthermore, the longitudinal axis X extends as if taken along a direction extending from front to rear or rear to front of the motor vehicle. The longitudinal axis X is perpendicular to the transverse axis Y. In particular, the longitudinal axis X is also considered between two second lateral edges 131 of the base 11 of the console support 1. The adjectives front, front, and rear refer to this longitudinal axis X.
[0054] Finally, the vertical axis Z is understood to be taken along an axis extending from the wheels of the motor vehicle towards the roof of said motor vehicle, or vice versa, the vertical axis Z being simultaneously perpendicular to the transverse axis Y and to the longitudinal axis X. In particular, the vertical axis Z is also considered to be perpendicular or substantially perpendicular to the base 11 of the console support 1. The adjectives above and below, or lower and upper, refer to this vertical axis Z.
[0055] With reference to FIGURES 1 to 3, the invention first addresses a front roof arrangement 2 for a motor vehicle, the front roof arrangement 2 comprising:
[0056] - a roof trim 21 configured to cover an inner wall of the roof panel of the motor vehicle;
[0057] - a pavilion console 22 supporting a plurality of electrical devices 23;
[0058] - a console support 1 collaborating with the pavilion console 22, so that the roof trim 21 is sandwiched, at the level of an opening 210 of said roof trim 21, between the roof console 22 and the roof trim 21.
[0059] As can be seen in FIGURES 1 and 2, the headliner 21 forms a trim piece for the roof lining of the motor vehicle, at the point where the The roof console 22 is integrated into the roof. The headliner 21 extends near the front windshield of the motor vehicle, at the level of one of its upper edges. The headliner 21 extends primarily along the transverse axis Y of the motor vehicle and includes a large opening 210 through which the electrical devices 23 associated with the roof console 22 extend. Thus, the electrical devices 23 associated with the roof console 22 extend from the roof console 22, through the opening 210 in the roof trim 21, and towards the console support 1 located on the other side of the roof trim 21, relative to the vertical axis Z.
[0060] The roof console 22 forms a receiving structure for the electrical devices 23 integrated into the roof. The roof console 22 thus forms a contact and assembly surface for the electrical devices 23. Such electrical devices 23 include, for example, control buttons, lighting elements, sensors...
[0061] The console support 1 forms a counter-assembly plate collaborating with the roof console 22. The console support 1 extends opposite the roof console 22 but on the other side of the roof trim 21, at the level of the opening 210 of the roof trim 21. Thus, the console support 1 covers the roof console 22 - and more particularly the electrical devices 23 associated with it, so as to house each of them in a cavity 17 delimited by the protrusion 13 of each platform 12.
[0062] Advantageously, the front roof arrangement 2 also includes a front roof crossmember 24 that extends along and across the headliner trim 21. The front roof crossmember 24 serves as a mounting support for the front arrangement 2 according to the invention. Thus, the roof console 22 and / or the roof support are fixed rigidly to the front roof crossmember 24, which is itself fixed rigidly to a chassis structure of the vehicle's passenger compartment. The front roof crossmember 24 covers the console support 1, such that there is a non-zero clearance between the electrical cable 230 of the electrical device 23 and said front roof crossmember 24, along the vertical axis Z.
[0063] As shown in FIGURES 4 to 6, the console support 1 comprises:
[0064] - a base 11 comprising means for anchoring with the horn console 22, so that the headliner trim 21 is sandwiched between the console support 1 and the headliner console 22;
[0065] - a plurality of platforms 12, 12A all extending from one face upper 111 of the base 11 and which form caps for each electrical device 23 intended to be associated with and / or fixed securely to the roof bracket 22. Each platform 12 forms protrusions 13 which delimit - on the side of the lower face 112 of the base 11, cavities 17 intended to house the electrical devices 23 which are affixed and fixed securely to the pavilion console 22. Each electrical device 23 thus extends through a passageway 16 provided from the lower face 112 of the base 11 and opens into the cavity 17 delimited by the lateral edges 131 of the protrusion 13 forming the platform 12 located above.
[0066] Among all the platforms 12, 12A of the console support 1, a connection platform 12A is defined forming a protrusion 13 above a passage light 16 of an electrical device 23 23 of the roof console 22. The electrical device 23 23 of the roof console 22 is one of the electrical devices 23 associated with the roof console 22.
[0067] According to the invention, the connection platform 12A comprises a channel 14 extending from a lateral edge 131 of the protrusion 13, so as to allow the passage and bending of a connection cable 230 for the electrical device 23 of the roof console 22. The channel 14 is arranged on a lateral edge 131 of the protrusion 13 delimiting the connection platform 12A. The channel 14 thus forms a passage in the protrusion 13, oriented along an axis intersecting the vertical axis Z, and in the direction of the cavity 17 delimited by the lateral edges 131 of the protrusion 13.
[0068] As can be seen in FIGURES 3 and 6, the electrical device 23 extends from the roof console 22, through the opening 210 of the roof trim 21 and the passageway 16 of the base 11 of the console support 1, then into the cavity 17 delimited by the protrusion 13 forming the connection platform 12A. For this purpose, the passageway 16 formed in the base 11, at the level of its lower face 112, extends beyond the lateral edges 131 of the protrusion 13 forming the connection platform 12A. In other words, the passage light 16 opens both into the cavity 17 but also outside the cavity 17, that is to say outside the protrusion 13, that is to say in front for example of one of the lateral edges 131 of the protrusion 13 forming the connection platform 12A.
[0069] This advantageous configuration, visible in [Fig.6], allows the cable 230 to pass through the base 11: the electrical connection cable 230 extends from the upper end of the electrical device 23 into the cavity 17 where said electrical device 23 is housed. Then, the electrical cable 230 extends in a curved manner towards the base 11 and passes through the upper face 111 and the lower face 112 of said base 11 via the part of the passage light 16 located outside the protrusion 13.
[0070] As can be seen in [Fig. 3], this advantageous configuration allows for a non-zero clearance between the 230 electrical cable and the front crossmember of the roof 24. Thus, the 230 electrical cable is not pinched, thereby facilitating the assembly of the arrangement. front 2 according to the invention. In addition, this advantageous configuration makes it possible not to oversize the console support 1, relative to the vertical axis Z, thus reducing the size of the roof console 22 in the passenger compartment and, more generally, the size of the front arrangement 2.
[0071] To facilitate the bending of the electrical cable 230 through the cavity 17 and the channel 14, the channel 14 has a rounded shape, as seen in particular in [Fig. 5]. More generally, the channel 14 is delimited by a rounded profile 141 at the level of one upper side of the protrusion 13 forming the connection platform 12A.
[0072] Furthermore, the connection platform 12A has, at the lateral edge 131 on which the gutter 14 is formed, a counter-support rib 15 to allow the electrical cable 230 to bear on said counter-support rib 15, relative to the vertical axis Z. The counter-support rib 15 is located above the gutter 14, i.e., directly above said gutter 14. The counter-support rib 15 extends projecting from an upper end of the lateral edge 131 of the protrusion 13 forming the connection platform 12A. Thus, the counter-support rib 15 forms a cap which extends outward from the lateral edge 131 of the protrusion 13 forming the connection platform 12A, so as to better guide the electrical cable 230 along a curved profile which moves it away from the front cross member located above.
[0073] In summary, the invention relates to a console support 1 collaborating with a horn console 22 to sandwich a horn trim 21. The horn console 22 supports electrical devices 23 that extend towards the console support 1 and through an opening 210 in the horn trim 21. In order to house the electrical devices 23, the console support 1 comprises a base 11 and a plurality of platforms 12, 12A, all extending from an upper face 111 of the base 11. One of these platforms 12, 12A, referred to as the connection platform 12A, has a protrusion 13 that extends above a passageway 16 formed from an underside 112 of the base 11, in order to house one of the electrical devices 23 in a cavity 17 delimited by lateral edges. 131 of the protrusion 13.In order to bend a 230 electrical cable, the 12A connection platform includes a gutter 14 which extends from a lateral edge 131 of the protrusion 13.
[0074] Of course, the invention is not limited to the examples just described, and many modifications can be made to these examples without departing from the scope of the invention. In particular, the various features, forms, variants, and embodiments of the invention can be combined with one another in various ways, provided that they are not incompatible or mutually exclusive. one another. In particular, all the variants and embodiments described above can be combined with each other.
