Abstract

Method (200) for checking the leak tightness of a component (4), such as a fluid machine or a valve, disposed on a fluid transfer line (1) between a fluid source (2) and at least one storage tank (3), the component (4) to be checked comprising a set of seal(s) (43), the method (200) comprising the following successive steps: a step (S1) of filling the storage tank (3) from the source (2) through the component (4) to be checked, a step (S2) of stopping the filling of the storage tank (3), a step (S3) of monitoring a curve (C1 - Cn) of the evolution of the pressure (P) of the fluid at the outlet of the component (4) to be checked, and a step (S4) of determining the leak tightness of the component (4) to be checked from the curve (C1 - Cn) of the evolution of the pressure (P) at the outlet of the component (4) to check.
