CONNECTOR ASSEMBLY

Abstract

A connector assembly is provided to ensure stable and correct assembly. The connector assembly includes: a sub-connector 20 comprising a housing 21 and a terminal 22 held within the housing 21; and a frame 30 comprising a receiving portion 31 into which the sub-connector 20 is suitable for insertion. The housing 21 includes a housing body 23 suitable for receiving the terminal 22 and a retaining piece 24 molded integrally with the housing body 23. The retaining piece 24 is shaped to be able to bend from an open state, where the retaining piece 24 extends diagonally with respect to the insertion direction of the sub-connector 20, to a closed state, where the retaining piece 24 extends in the insertion direction. In the open state, the retaining piece 24 allows the insertion of the terminal 22 into the housing body 23 and, in the closed state, the retaining piece 24 locks the terminal 22 which has been inserted into the housing body 23.The receiving part 31 includes a stop surface 35, which is located in a position that is further inward in the insertion direction than an open end of the receiving part 31 and engages with the retaining piece 24 in the open state to prevent the insertion of the connector 20 into the receiving part 31. in which the retaining piece (24) includes a projection (24c) at a front end in the insertion direction, and the stop surface (35) is inclined to guide the retaining piece (24) in a direction where the retaining piece (24) opens further when an insertion force is applied to the connector (20) in a state where the projection (24c) comes into contact with the stop surface (35).

5. Connector assembly (10) according to claim 1, wherein a length from an open end of the receiving part (31) to the stop surface (35) is greater than a length along the insertion axis of the retaining piece (24). [Fig. 2] 35
