AI Technical Summary

Technical Problem

Existing stretchable textile articles, such as compression stockings and postural t-shirts, are often unsightly and single-purpose, requiring multiple items for different functions, and their heating elements tend to move and deform, causing discomfort.

Method used

A textile article with a first stretchable sleeve and integrated pockets for active elements, where a second stretchable layer is pre-stressed and fixed to the first layer, ensuring the active element is firmly held in position through a tensile effect, allowing multiple customization options and comfort.

Benefits of technology

The textile article provides practical, efficient, and customizable support with active elements securely held in place, offering multiple functionalities without discomfort, regardless of user activity or element characteristics.

Abstract

The invention relates to a textile article comprising a sleeve made of a first stretchable textile layer, adapted to enclose a part of a user's body by exerting a first pressure force on said body part when the textile article is worn, and a pocket defined on a surface of interest of said sleeve and adapted to receive an active element. The textile article comprises a second stretchable textile layer attached to the first stretchable textile layer by a portion of its peripheral edge so as to define said pocket. The second stretchable textile layer is stretched and attached in the stretched state to said first stretchable textile layer so as to be pre-stressed and such that, when said textile article is worn with said active element, it exerts a second pressure force on the active element, which is held firmly in position against the first stretchable textile layer.
