Abstract

Composition in the form of an emulsion comprising a high concentration of azelaic acid. The present invention relates to a composition in the form of an oil-in-water (O / W) emulsion, particularly a cosmetic composition comprising: (i) at least 5% by weight of azelaic acid, its organic or mineral base salts, its solvates, or mixtures thereof, relative to the total weight of the composition, (ii) at least one nonpolar oil, (iii) at least one polyol of formula (I), (iv) less than 1% by weight of a polar oil relative to the total weight of the composition, or said composition being free of polar oil. It also relates to a non-therapeutic cosmetic process for the care of keratinous materials, particularly skin, comprising the topical application to these keratinous materials of a composition according to the invention, or its use for skin care.
