Such a window unit (1) comprises an outer pane (2), at least one inner pane (3), and at least one camera unit (4). The at least one inner pane (3) is disposed between the outer pane (2) and the at least one camera unit (4). Furthermore, a field of view (9) of the at least one camera unit (4) is directed through only a partial area (10) of the at least one inner pane (3).The at least one inner pane (3) comprises an arrangement of light-reflecting inner pane material such that light rays incident through the outer pane (2) can be partially guided from at least one input coupling location on a first outer face of the at least one inner pane (3), which is facing the outer pane (2), to at least one output coupling location on a second outer face of the at least one inner pane (3) which is facing an interior space of an aircraft in which the window unit (1) is disposed and which is located in the partial area (10) of the at least one inner pane (3).
