Abstract

Break-off lug for connecting two high-power electrical contacts. The break-off lug (1) comprises a hollow shell (3) extending longitudinally along an axis (X) and having a substantially cylindrical internal housing (4), passing through, extending along the axis (X) and suitable for housing two facing electrical contacts (2), said shell (3) comprising: two electrically conductive half-shells (5) each having a substantially hemisylindrical internal housing (6), passing through and extending along the axis (X); an assembly device for joining the two facing half-shells (5), the two substantially hemisylindrical housings (6) forming the substantially cylindrical internal housing (4) when the two half-shells (5) are joined together;two strips of electrical continuity (8), each being radially deformable and electrically conductive, extending along the axis (X) and being housed in the substantially hemicylindrical internal housing of a half-shell (5).
