Abstract
Description
Title of the invention: Food container technical field
[0001] The present utility model refers to a food container. In particular, the present utility model refers to a crown-shaped container intended for pastry products.
[0002] Prior art.
[0003] Currently, food boxes and containers, particularly for baked goods such as cakes and similar products, consist of a paper or cardboard profile comprising a square base and flaps, generally four, arranged orthogonally to one another and each extending from a corresponding side of the square base. A first pair consists of two equal flaps extending from two opposite sides of the square base and having a protrusion at their end, opposite the side of the base. A second pair consists of two equal flaps, different from the first pair of flaps, extending from the other two opposite sides of the square base and having a slit at their end, opposite the side of the base. Thus, when the box is assembled to package the pastry, the protrusions of the first pair of flaps can fit into the slots of the second pair of flaps. This creates both a sturdy container for the pastry and a grip element on the box, allowing the user to safely grasp and carry both the box and the pastry inside.
[0004] However, the applicant for the present utility model has found that it is possible to improve the strength of such boxes for pastry products, as well as the grip allowing the user to carry the box and the product it contains.
[0005] Consequently, the applicant faced the technical challenge of improving the profile of a box to pack and transport a pastry product more safely.
[0006] Summary
[0007] In a first aspect, the present utility model refers to a container for pastry products, such as that indicated in claim 1.
[0008] Indeed, the applicant for this utility model has discovered that the technical problem identified above can be solved efficiently and reliably by means of a container for food and baked goods made from a paper or cardboard profile intended to be assembled for packaging and transporting the food it contains. Said profile consists of an octagonal base and eight flaps, each of which has: a) an edge coinciding with a corresponding side of said (b) an octagonal base, and (b) a remaining flexible portion extending outwards from said octagonal base and intended to be folded to overlap at least partially the flexible portions of the other flaps. Some of said flaps have slots and others have a tab intended to pass through said slots to form the handle of the container.
[0009] The length of the lever (4) and the position of the projection (5) relative to the joint (6) are such that slight pressure exerted by the user on the lever (4) is amplified, causing the tip of the bulb (3) to break and fall into the housing (1). A spring (7) interposed between the bottom of the housing (1) and the lower end of the lever (4) tends to raise said lever (4).
[0010] It is thus possible to make a container or box for food and pastry products by stacking the eight flaps, which gives an object in the shape of a crown or elliptical dome.
[0011] In addition, the use of eight flaps makes it possible to obtain a box or container that is more robust and offers a better grip than prior art boxes, which are composed of only four flaps.
[0012] According to a preferred embodiment, said profile consists of said octagonal base and four pairs of said flaps, in which the flaps of each of said pairs are arranged symmetrically with respect to the center of the octagonal base.
[0013] It is thus possible to obtain a box composed of several quarters, which together contribute to giving it the shape of a crown or an elliptical dome.
[0014] According to a preferred embodiment, said flaps have an elongated shape and are all essentially the same length.
[0015] According to a preferred embodiment, said profile consists of said octagonal base and:
[0016] - of a first pair of said flaps, consisting of a first flap and a second flap, wherein the first flap extends from a first side of the octagonal base and the second flap extends from a second side of the octagonal base, opposite said first side with respect to the center of the octagonal base, and wherein each of said first and second flaps is provided with a corresponding tab located at the end of the flap, away from the corresponding side of the octagonal base from which said first and second flaps extend;
[0017] - of a second pair of said flaps, consisting of a third flap and a fourth flap, wherein the third flap extends from a third side of the octagonal base and the fourth flap extends from a fourth side of the octagonal base, opposite said third side with respect to the center of the octagonal base, wherein said third and fourth sides from which extend respectively said third flap and said fourth flap of the second pair of flaps are essentially orthogonal to said first and second sides of the octagonal base from which said first and second flaps of the first pair of flaps extend, and where each of said third and fourth flaps of the second pair of flaps is provided with a first type of slot located at the end of the flap, away from the corresponding third and fourth sides of the octagonal base from which said flaps of the second pair of flaps extend and intended to be crossed by said tabs;
[0018] - of a third pair of said flaps, consisting of a fifth flap and a sixth flap, wherein the fifth flap extends from a fifth side of the octagonal base and the sixth flap extends from a sixth side of the octagonal base, opposite said fifth side with respect to the center of the octagonal base, wherein said fifth and sixth sides from which said fifth and sixth flaps of the third pair of flaps extend are interposed and inclined at approximately 45°, respectively, between said first and third sides of the octagonal base from which said first and third flaps extend, and between said second and fourth sides from which said second and fourth flaps extend, wherein each of said fifth and sixth flaps of the third pair of flaps are provided with a second type of slot situated at the end of the fifth and sixth flaps,far from the corresponding fifth and sixth sides of the octagonal base from which the said fifth and sixth flaps of the third pair of flaps extend, and intended to be traversed by the said tabs;
[0019] - of a fourth pair of said flaps, consisting of a seventh flap and an eighth flap, wherein the seventh flap extends from a seventh side of the octagonal base and the eighth flap extends from an eighth side of the octagonal base, opposite said seventh side with respect to the center of the octagonal base, and wherein said seventh and eighth sides from which said seventh and eighth flaps of the fourth pair of flaps extend are interposed and inclined at approximately 45°, respectively, between said third and second sides of the octagonal base from which said third and second flaps extend, and between said fourth and first sides from which said fourth and first flaps extend, wherein each of said seventh and eighth flaps of said fourth pair of flaps is provided with a slot, essentially identical to said second type of slot with which said third pair of flaps is provided and which is situated at the end of the seventh and eighth flaps, far from the corresponding seventh and eighth sides of the octagonal base from which the said seventh and eighth flaps of the fourth pair of flaps extend, and intended to be traversed by the said tabs.
[0020] It is thus possible to exploit the presence of tabs and slots to assemble the box. Indeed, by folding the flexible parts of the first and second flaps, arranged symmetrically with respect to the center of the octagonal base, it is possible to bring together the two tabs, one per flap, located at the respective ends of the two flaps. Furthermore, by also folding the flexible parts of the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth flaps, which have slots at their ends, it is possible to bring each end of these flaps with slots closer to the ends of the other flaps with tabs, so that the tabs can pass through each of these slots. This results in a box composed of eight flaps, which also give the visual effect of a crown.
[0021] According to a preferred embodiment, said first and second flaps provided with said tabs have an essentially rectangular shape with slightly curved longitudinal edges.
[0022] These curved shapes thus allow each of the first and second flaps to be brought closer together more precisely to the flaps that are adjacent to them.
[0023] According to a preferred embodiment, said tabs have an essentially semi-circular shape and are arranged along the ends of the first and second flaps, away from the octagonal base and with the base of the semicircle essentially parallel to the first side and the second side of the octagonal base from which said first and second flaps extend.
[0024] According to a preferred embodiment, the distance between a first tab and the first side of the octagonal base from which the first flap on which the first tab is located extends is essentially equal to the distance between a second tab and the second side of the octagonal base from which said second flap on which said second fin is located extends.
[0025] Thus, when the flexible parts of the first and second flaps are folded, the two tabs present on each of the two flaps are brought closer together.
[0026] According to a preferred embodiment, the angle of the first slightly curved longitudinal edge of each of said first and second flaps is different from the angle of the other slightly curved longitudinal edge of the same flap. According to a preferred embodiment, the angle of said first slightly curved longitudinal edge of said first and second flaps is approximately 15°, while the angle of said other slightly curved longitudinal edge of the corresponding flap is approximately 20°.
[0027] Thus, when the flaps are bent to assemble the box, the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth flaps overlap the first and second flaps in order to adhere to them precisely.
[0028] According to a preferred embodiment, said third and fourth flaps provided with said first type of slot have an essentially rectangular shape with the edges slightly curved and in which the slots are arranged along the same line and essentially orthogonally with respect to said third and fourth sides of the octagonal base from which said third and fourth flaps extend.
[0029] Thus, when the flexible parts of the third and fourth flaps are folded so as to bring the respective ends closer together, the two slots present are positioned so that the two tabs can easily pass through them.
[0030] According to a preferred embodiment, the angle of the first slightly curved longitudinal edge of each of said third and fourth flaps is different from the angle of the other slightly curved longitudinal edge of the same flap. According to a preferred embodiment, the angle of said first slightly curved longitudinal edge of the third and fourth flaps is approximately 13°, while the angle of said other slightly curved longitudinal edge of the corresponding flap is approximately 19°.
[0031] Thus, when the flaps are bent to assemble the box, the fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth flaps overlap the third and fourth flaps in order to adhere to them precisely.
[0032] According to a preferred embodiment, the distance between said slot of the first type and the third side of the octagonal base from which extends said third flap on which said slot is located is essentially equal to the distance between said slot of the first type and the fourth side of the octagonal base from which extends said fourth flap on which said slot is located.
[0033] This further facilitates the interlocking between the two tabs and the two slots.
[0034] According to a preferred embodiment, said fifth and sixth flaps of the third pair of said flaps and said seventh and eighth flaps of the fourth pair of said flaps are essentially B-shaped, with a first edge of the B consisting of a slightly curved elongated element and with the opposite edge of the B consisting of an arc of upper circumference and an arc of lower circumference which converge at a point of contact forming an acute angle.
[0035] Thus, the specific B-shaped design of the four flaps, arranged symmetrically in pairs with respect to the center of the octagonal base, allows the four flaps to have the correct clearance when they are folded and their ends are brought together and also brought close to the ends of the first and second flaps (which have tabs) and the ends of the third and fourth flaps. This avoids the presence of edges that would prevent at least partial overlap of the flaps during the assembly of the box.
[0036] According to a preferred embodiment, said slots of the second type located respectively on said fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth flaps are arranged parallel to each other and essentially in such a way orthogonal to said slots of the first type with which said third and fourth flaps of the second pair of said flaps are provided.
[0037] Thus, the fact that all these slots are parallel to each other facilitates the passage of the tabs in these slots.
[0038] According to a preferred embodiment, said lower circumference arc of each of said fifth, sixth, seventh and eighth B-shaped flaps has an angle of approximately 100°-105°, preferably 102°-104°, defined as the angle between the two radii originating from the center of the circumference to which the arc belongs and connecting the two ends of the arc.
[0039] Thus, these angles make it easier to assemble the box.
[0040] According to a preferred embodiment, said fifth flap (respectively said sixth flap) of the third pair of flaps and said seventh flap (respectively said eighth flap) of the fourth pair of said flaps are placed relative to each other at an angle of approximately 88°, while said seventh flap (respectively said eighth flap) of the fourth pair of flaps and said sixth flap (respectively said fifth flap) of the third pair of said flaps are placed relative to each other at an angle of approximately 92°.
[0041] In this way, a visual effect resulting from the screwing action of the dome-shaped box is highlighted once it is assembled.
[0042] According to a preferred embodiment, the height of the container, once assembled after folding said flexible parts of the flaps, bringing said tabs together and passing them through said slots, is obtained by the difference between the length of a flap and the length of one side of the octagonal base.
[0043] This results in a box in the shape of an elliptical dome.
[0044] Other features and advantages of the present utility model will become more apparent upon reading the following detailed description of a preferred, but not exclusive, embodiment, illustrated by way of example only but without limitation, with reference to the accompanying drawings in which: - Fig. 1 presents a plan view of one embodiment of the profile of a food box of the present utility model; - [Fig.2] shows a detail of the box from [Fig.1]; - [Fig.2a] shows a detail of the first flap 3a of the box in [Fig.l]; - [Fig.2b] shows a detail of the fourth 3d flap of the box in [Fig.l] - [Fig.3] shows a first step in assembling the box of [Fig.1] - Figure 4 shows a second stage of assembly of the box [Fig.l] ; - [Fig.5] shows a third assembly stage of the box from [Fig.1] - Figure 6 shows a fourth assembly stage of the box [Fig.l] ; - [Fig.7] shows the box of the assembled [Fig.1]. Detailed description
[0045] With reference to [Fig.1] to 7, an embodiment of the box for pastry products of the present utility model is shown below.
[0046] Fig. 1 is a plan view of profile 1 of the box made of paper or cardboard and intended to be assembled so as to pack and transport the food it contains.
[0047] The profile 1 consists of an octagonal base 2 and eight flaps 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, 3f, 3g, 3h equal in pairs and arranged symmetrically with respect to the center 7 of the octagonal base 2. In particular, [Fig. 1] shows a first pair of flaps consisting of the first flap 3a and the second flap 3b; a second pair of flaps consisting of the third flap 3c and the fourth flap 3d; a third pair of flaps consisting of the fifth flap 3e and the sixth flap 3f; and a fourth pair of flaps consisting of the seventh flap 3g and the eighth flap 3h. Each flap 3a,3b,3c,3d,3e,3f,3g,3h has an edge coinciding with a corresponding side 4a,4b,4c,4d,4e,4f,4g,4 of the octagonal base 2 and a remaining flexible part extending from this edge outwards from said octagonal base 2. The flaps 3a,3b,3c,3d,3e,3f,3g,3h all have essentially the same length.
[0048] The first flap 3a and the second flap 3b have an elongated, essentially rectangular shape, with the two longitudinal edges slightly curved at angles of 15° and 20° respectively (Fig. 2a shows the first flap 3a in detail). The difference in the magnitude of the angle between the two slightly curved longitudinal edges of the same flap 3a or 3b is due to the fact that the arcs on which they rest have different starting points (a, b) on the two longitudinal edges, and therefore different lengths. On the end opposite the first side 4a and the second side 4b of the octagonal base 2, there are respectively a tab 5a and a tab 5b, essentially semicircular in shape, with the base of the semicircle essentially parallel to the first side 4a and the second side 4b of the octagonal base 2.
[0049] The third flap 3c and the fourth flap 3d also have an elongated, essentially rectangular shape, with slightly curved longitudinal edges at angles of 13° and 19° respectively (Fig. 2b shows the fourth flap 3d in detail), and are arranged essentially orthogonally with respect to the first flap 3a and the second flap 3b. In this case as well, the difference in the amplitude of the angle The difference in length between the two slightly curved longitudinal edges of the same flap 3c or 3d is due to the fact that the arcs on which they rest have different starting points (c,d) on the two longitudinal edges, and therefore different lengths. The third flap 3c, at its end, away from side 4c of the octagonal base 2, is provided with a first type of slot 6c, arranged longitudinally. Similarly, the fourth flap 3d is provided with a corresponding slot 6d.
[0050] The fifth flap 3e, interposed between the first flap 3a and the third flap 3c, extends from the fifth side 4e of the octagonal base 2, which is inclined at approximately 45° to the first side 4a and the third side 4c. Similarly, the sixth flap 3f, interposed between the second flap 3b and the fourth flap 3d, extends from the sixth side 4f of the octagonal base 2, which is inclined at approximately 45° to the second side 4b and the fourth side 4d. The fifth flap 3e and the sixth flap 3f have essentially the same B-shaped configuration (better shown in detail in [Fig.2]), with a first edge 9 of B consisting of an elongated element slightly curved at an angle of approximately 36° and with the opposite edge of B consisting of an arc of upper circumference 10 (corresponding to the upper rounded part of B) and an arc of lower circumference 11 (corresponding to the lower rounded part of B) which converge at a point of contact 12 forming an acute angle between them. The arc of lower circumference 11 forms an angle of approximately 100° to 105° between the two radii which originate from the center of the circumference to which the arc belongs and connect the two ends of the arc. In addition, the fifth flap 3e, at its end, away from the side 4e of the octagonal base 2, is provided with a slot 6e of the second type, arranged essentially orthogonally (with a tolerance of + or - 2°) with respect to the slots 6c and 6d, with which the third flap 3c and the fourth flap 3d are respectively provided.Similarly, the sixth flap 3f is provided with a corresponding slot 6d.
[0051] Still with reference to Figures 1 and 2, the seventh flap 3g and the eighth flap 3h are essentially identical to the fifth flap 3e and the sixth flap 3f described above.
[0052] Thus, the fifth flap 3e in the shape of B is placed between the first flap 3a provided with the tab 5a and the third flap 3c provided with the longitudinal slot 6c; the sixth flap 3f in the shape of B is placed between the second flap 3b provided with the tab 5b and the fourth flap 3d provided with the longitudinal slot 6d; the seventh flap 3g in the shape of B is placed between the third flap 3c provided with the longitudinal slot 6c and the second flap 3b provided with the tab 5b; and the eighth flap 3h in the shape of B is placed between the fourth flap 3d provided with the longitudinal slot 6d and the first flap 3a provided with the tab 5a.
[0053] The distance D between the longitudinal slot 6c and the third side 4c of the octagonal base 2 from which the third flap 3c extends, on which the slot 6c is placed, is essentially equal to the distance between the longitudinal slot 6d and the fourth side 4d of the octagonal base 2 from which the fourth flap 3d extends, on which the slot 6d is placed.
[0054] The height of the dome-shaped box obtained by assembling the eight-flap profile is given by the difference between this distance D and the length of one of the sides of the octagonal base 2.
[0055] Figures 3 to 7 show the different assembly steps to produce the box of the present utility model.
[0056] In particular, [Fig.3] shows the step where the flexible parts of the first flap 3a, the second flap 3b, the third flap 3c (not visible on [Fig.3]) and the fourth flap 3d have been folded so that the corresponding ends overlap at least partially with each other, in order to allow the respective tabs 5a and 5b of the first flap 3a and the second flap 3b to pass into the slot 6c of the third flap 3c and into the slot 6d of the fourth flap 3d, and to come closer to each other.
[0057] Fig. 4 shows the step in which the flexible part of the fifth flap 3e has been folded so that its end overlaps the ends of the first flap 3a, the second flap 3b, the third flap 3c and the fourth flap 3d already assembled, to also allow the tabs 5a, 5b to pass into the slot 6e of the fifth flap 3e.
[0058] Fig. 5 shows the step in which the flexible part of the seventh flap 3g has been folded so that its end overlaps the ends of the first flap 3a, the second flap 3b, the third flap 3c, the fourth flap 3d and the fifth flap 3e already assembled, to also allow the tabs 5a, 5b to pass into the slot 6g of the seventh flap 3g.
[0059] Fig. 6 shows the step in which the flexible part of the sixth flap 3f has been folded so that its end overlaps the ends of the first flap 3a, the second flap 3b, the third flap 3c, the fourth flap 3d, the fifth flap 3e and the seventh flap 3g already assembled, to also allow the tabs 5a, 5b to pass into the slot 6f of the sixth flap 3f.
[0060] Fig. 7 shows the box at the end of the assembly steps, where the flexible part of the eighth flap 3h has also been folded so that its end overlaps the ends of the first flap 3a, the second flap 3b, the third flap 3c, the fourth flap 3d, the fifth flap 3e, the sixth flap 3f and the seventh flap 3g already assembled, to also allow the tabs 5a, 5b to pass into the slot 6h of the eighth flap 3h.
[0061] This gives us a box in the shape of an elliptical dome (or crown) in which each flap 3a,3b,3c,3d,3e,3f,3g,3h contributes to forming the different quarters of the box and in which the tabs 5a,5b of the first flap 3a and the second flap 3b are passed through all the slots 6c,6d,6e,6f,6g,6h with which the third flap 3c, the fourth flap 3d, the fifth flap 3e, the sixth flap 3f, the seventh flap 3g and the eighth flap 3h are respectively provided.
[0062] When bending the flaps to assemble the box, the fact that each of the first and second flaps 3a and 3b has slightly curved longitudinal edges with the angle (15°) of one longitudinal edge different from the angle (20°) of the other longitudinal edge of that same flap (as shown in [Fig.2a]), as well as the fact that each of the third and fourth flaps 3c and 3d has slightly curved longitudinal edges with the angle (13°) of one longitudinal edge different from the angle (19°) of the other longitudinal edge of that same flap (as shown in [Fig.2b]), allows each of the remaining edges (fifth flap 3e, sixth flap 3f, seventh flap 3g and eighth flap 3h) to overlap the first flap 3a, the second flap 3b, the third flap 3c and the fourth flap 3d so as to adhere precisely to them. For example, by referring to the [Fig.[6], we can see that the lower circumference arc of the sixth flap 3f adheres perfectly to the slightly curved longitudinal edge of the fourth flap 3d. Similarly, the lower circumference arc of the fifth flap 3e, the seventh flap 3g and the eighth flap 3h adhere perfectly, respectively, to the slightly curved longitudinal edge of the third flap 3c, the second flap 3b and the first flap 3a.
[0063] This results in a robust box for packaging and transporting the pastry product it contains, as well as a practical and resistant grip on the box which will be grasped by the user.
[0064] Furthermore, the shape of the various flaps creates a pleasing aesthetic appearance in which, in the final form of the box, all the B-shaped flaps only partially overlap the remaining flaps, so as to leave a portion of these remaining flaps visible. For example, referring to [Fig. 7], it can be seen that between the sixth flap 6f and the eighth flap 3h, a portion of the fourth quarter-shaped flap 3d remains visible. Similarly, although not visible in [Fig. 7], a portion of the first quarter-shaped flap 3a, the second flap 3b, and the third quarter-shaped flap 3c remains visible.Let us imagine, for example, that the first flap 3a, the second flap 3b, the third flap 3c and the fourth flap 3d are coloured, and that the B-shaped flaps (the fifth flap 3e, the sixth flap 3f, the seventh flap 3g and the eighth flap 3h) are white, the box will then have, in its final form, a configuration in which there is a continuous alternation of white and coloured parts. colored parts which is due, respectively, to the alternation of B-shaped flaps and quarter-shaped parts of the remaining flaps.
[0065] Obviously, specialists in the field will be able to observe many modifications and variants of the preferred embodiments described above, while remaining within the framework of the present utility model.
[0066] Thus, the present utility model is not limited to the preferred embodiment described, illustrated for illustrative purposes only and without limitation, but is defined by the following claims.
