Abstract

Planar transformer and associated radio frequency signal processing system. The planar transformer (20) comprises input terminals (64, 68) and output terminals (72), magnetic circuits (50, 56) respectively defining an internal passage (52, 58), a first support plate (24) passing through the internal passages (52, 58) and having first and second surfaces (24A, 24B), and a first set (76) of transmission lines connecting a first input terminal and the output terminal and comprising a first coupling line (78) etched on the first surface and extending at least once successively through the internal passages. The transformer comprises a second set of transmission lines connecting a second input terminal and the output terminal and comprising a second coupling line etched on the second surface and extending at least once successively through the internal passages.
