Abstract

INDUSTRIAL PROCESS FOR THE TOTAL DESTRUCTION OF POLLUTANTS IN GAS OR LIQUID COMPOUNDS BY CHEMICAL MODIFICATION. The invention relates to a process for the chemical modification of pollutants in a gaseous or liquid composition followed by their total destruction by an advanced oxidation process (AOP), for the treatment of any pollutant, alone or in a multi-pollutant mixture, selected from: - Alkali-sensitive inorganic compounds or those simply soluble in aqueous media. - Alkali-sensitive organic compounds or those simply soluble in aqueous media. A process for the chemical modification and total destruction of alkali-reactive pollutants, partially or totally water-soluble, present in a gaseous or liquid effluent has now been developed.
