Disclosed in the present invention is an English word generation and reading platform, comprising a platform body and a word-formation carrier module and an electronic reading module that are installed on the platform body. The platform body is provided with a word generation and reading area and a word-formation carrier storage area; the word-formation carrier module is divided into a main word-formation carrier and an auxiliary word-formation carrier; and the electronic reading module is installed on the platform body, and comprises a recognition unit, a control unit, and a sound production unit which are in data connection. By means of the English word generation and reading platform of the present invention, a learner can sequentially place the main word-formation carrier and the auxiliary word-formation carrier marked with a consonant-vowel combination and a consonant-consonant-vowel combination in the word generation and reading area, the main word-formation carrier and the auxiliary word-formation carrier work in conjunction to each other to generate a word, and pronunciation of the generated word is read out by means of a recognizer. Real word-pseudoword distinguishing is not performed on generated English words, pronunciation can be realized simply according to a pronunciation rule set on the electronic reading module, and pronunciation and spelling modes of various English words can be trained in a centralized manner.
