Claims

1. A cable entry tile for use in installing solar panels on a tiled roof, the cable entry tile comprising an external roof surface, a peripheral surface extended from an edge of the external roof surface, and a first cable receiving aperture within the peripheral surface.

2. The cable entry tile of claim 1, wherein in use, the peripheral surface of the cable entry tile is the face of the cable entry tile arranged to face obliquely downward when the cable entry tile is affixed in a course of roof tiles.

3. The cable entry tile of either claim 1 or claim 2, further comprising an interior roof surface, and a second cable receiving aperture within the interior roof surface.

4. The cable entry tile of claim 3 when dependent on claim 2, wherein the first cable receiving aperture is connected to the second cable receiving aperture to form, in use, a passage from the outside of the tiled roof to the inside of the tiled roof.

5. The cable entry tile of any preceding claim, comprising a plurality of first apertures within the peripheral wall, such that a plurality of cables are projectable from the peripheral wall.

6. The cable entry tile of either claim 3 or claim 4, or claim 5 when dependent on claim 3, comprising a plurality of second apertures within the interior wall, such that a plurality of cables are projectable from the interior wall.

7. The cable entry tile of any preceding claim, wherein the cable entry tile comprises a substantially resilient material.

8. An arrangement of roof tiles affixed to a roof, wherein a course of roof tiles within the arrangement comprises at least one cable entry tile of any preceding claim.

9. The arrangement of roof tiles of claim 8, wherein the at least one cable entry tile has the same length, width, and depth of its adjacent tiles.

10. A method of passing a cable for a solar panel through a tiled roof, the method5 comprising the steps of:providing the cable entry tile any of claims 1 to 7;installing the cable entry tile within a roof tile course of a tiled roof; andpassing a cable through the cable entry tile such that a portion of the cable is arrangeable outside of the tiled roof, and another portion of the cable is arrangeable 10 inside the tiled roof.
