Abstract

A toothbrush 2-1 comprises a longitudinally extending handle 4, a brush head 6 formed at the tip of the handle, and a bristle portion 8 comprising multiple bristle bundles that are attached to the brush head. The handle comprises a grip portion 10 that is held in the user's hand in use, a neck portion 12 that is positioned between the grip portion and the brush head portion. A bristle portion 8 is formed with a side profile that resembles a mountain shape with the centre of the bristle portion in the longitudinal direction of the handle being formed as the highest point of the bristle portion. The grip portion also includes regions with a triangular cross section T. The bristle portion may include a group of central bristle bundles 22 that are taller than surrounding bristle bundles 24, and the brush portion and / or the neck portion may be removably attached to the grip portion of the handle.
