Agricultural composition and method

Abstract

An agricultural composition in the form of a paint 112 for spraying onto the ground adjacent to one or more crops 120 in cropland 100, the paint comprising an aqueous carrier liquid and a water-insoluble pigment for adhering the grass, stone, soil, or agricultural surfaces, wherein the pigment includes activated carbon dispersed and suspended in the aqueous carrier to provide a colloid, and wherein the composition lacks any petroleum-based plastics. Also a shipping container comprising an internal chamber with an enclosure or liner, and means for dispensing the composition. Also a kit comprising a first container of fertiliser and / or pesticide and a second container containing the composition. Also the use of the composition on an agricultural area for covering the ground, and a method of cropland preparation / management comprising applying the composition with an applicator to multiple areas whilst moving the applicator along at least one crop growing area. The pigment may reflect or absorb incident sunlight, promoting positive germination, growth, yield, and / or colouration of adjacent crops. [Figure 2]
