One or more offset values for cell reselection evaluation

Abstract

An apparatus receives information 301 indicating offset values, associated with a time gap between a low-power wake-up signal (LP-WUS) monitoring occasion and a paging monitoring occasion (PO), where the indication is of support by either one or more frequencies, frequency layers or bands, cells or public land mobile networks. A selection is made 302 based on the information indicating support for at least one offset values supported by the apparatus, and based also on at least one of an estimated amount of energy savings resulting from the selection, or historical information of services used by the apparatus. Cell reselection criteria are evaluated 303 based on the selection. The energy savings may relate to frequency bands, in which case the savings are estimated relative to a length of the time gap between LP-WUS and PO and a band may be selected of prioritised if the energy savings are above a threshold.
