Abstract

A system for creating an augmented reality (AR) play environment and monitoring child activity, the system comprising: a floor covering comprising a matrix of pressure sensors, a pair of AR glasses comprising a biometric sensor, and a mobile device programmed with a parental monitoring application; wherein: the AR glasses generate an AR environment based on motion data received from the floor covering and the parental monitoring application displays a dashboard based on motion and biometric data received from the AR glasses. The AR glasses may comprise an inertial measurement unit for detecting head orientation and movement of the child. The AR glasses may also comprise a heart-rate sensor. The system may transmit alerts to the parental monitoring application in response to detecting falls. Figure 2
