Vehicle information display image

Abstract

This image is projected onto the steering wheel of a vehicle by an image projection device. The image shown in the image diagram is projected so as to be superimposed on the rim and pad of the steering wheel, as shown in the reference diagram showing the usage state, to inform the vehicle occupants of the vehicle's behavior and status. Furthermore, the color of at least a portion of this image may change depending on the vehicle's status. For example, when the vehicle is switched from automated driving to manual driving or when the vehicle occupants are required to hold the steering wheel, the image may be projected in a red or yellow color. Furthermore, the image may be periodically changed (e.g., flashing or fading) to attract the attention of the vehicle occupants.
