Abstract
This article is used to lift a shorting device (such as the shorting device for electrolytic cells disclosed in Japanese Patent Publication No. 2016-89202) for short-circuiting the busbars of two electrolytic cells, when replacing the cathode and / or anode installed in an electrolytic cell, and to insert or remove an insulator between the shorting device and the busbars. This article is constructed by inserting a pivot through a through-hole in a support made of an insulating resin material and a through-hole in an arm made of a metal material that is easy to ensure strength, thereby supporting the supported portion of the arm so that it can swing relative to the support. The height of the arm can be adjusted by arranging multiple through-holes in the supported portion in the height direction and changing the height of the through-hole through which the pivot is inserted. As shown in the "Reference Diagram Showing Usage," with the support base placed on the top surface of the busbar, the locking part provided at one end of the arm (the right end in the "Reference Diagram Showing Usage") is hooked onto the pin protruding horizontally from the side of the base of the shorting device, the other end of the arm (the left end in the "Reference Diagram Showing Usage") is displaced downward, and the base of the shorting device is lifted, creating a gap between the bottom surface of the base and the top surface of the busbar, allowing the insulator to be inserted into and removed from this gap.
