Mirror-equipped shield for oral observation

Abstract

As shown in "Reference Figures 1 and 2 Showing the Use State," this item is attached to a penlight and is used when an observer (doctor, etc.) observes the oral cavity of an observed person (patient, etc.). This item is composed of a transparent shield plate, a mirror, and a light-holding material. The mirror surface of the mirror is located on the front side. A through hole is opened in the shield plate at a position offset from the center, and the light-holding material is fixed to this through hole. The light-holding material is made of an elastic material. The tip of the penlight can be fitted into the hole in the light-holding material to hold it. In the front view, the oral cavity can be observed from the gap between the lower end of the mirror and the light-holding material inside the shield plate, or from other places (places where the mirror is not provided). The shield of this item prevents the observer from being splashed with droplets from the oral cavity of the observed person, while the observed person can check the condition of their own throat through the mirror.
