Abstract

The present article is a plate material for reinforcing a cardboard box composed of a hard, thin plate-like structure with a uniform-width long-side structure. This plate material for reinforcing the cardboard box is used in a form attached to an existing cardboard box, and is formed into an arbitrary width and length for each box shape. After placing the bottom surface of the cardboard box on the central part of the plate material, the left and right plate materials of the box are folded up to the side surface, and further the side surface is bent to the top surface for use. There are various shape forms for existing cardboard boxes, and even for cardboard boxes with any shape form such as a double-opening top surface, a lid type, or a flap type, the bottom surface, left and right side surfaces of the cardboard box can be reinforced by covering the bottom surface, left and right side surfaces, and top surface of the box. This is an invention that can provide an effect aimed at improving durability against impact resistance and load-bearing capacity during transportation, stacking, and frequent loading and unloading. Also, an opening can be optionally provided on the side surface to form a handle part, or an adhesive tape member can be added to the inner part on the top surface side of the plate material. As a usage form of this plate material for reinforcing a cardboard box, in the case of a general double-opening top surface cardboard box, covering the outer periphery with the plate material eliminates the need for taping the bottom surface or the bottom surface and the top surface of the cardboard box, and the post-opening cleanup is also simple, and the box and the plate material can be easily separated. Also, when using the plate material for reinforcing a cardboard box attached to a plain cardboard box, applications as an advertising medium such as pre-printing the company name etc. on the plate material can be expected, and the environmental load in the recycling of used cardboard boxes and the manufacturing of recycled products can be reduced. Furthermore, the need for large-lot ordering, which was common in conventional cardboard box printing, and securing storage locations for box inventories is no longer essential. As the effects of the usage purpose of the plate material for reinforcing a cardboard box, at the logistics sites such as boxed goods and delivery business formats, complaints and returns caused by box damage due to load collapse and mixed loading during transportation and delivery can be reduced, and at the work sites of storage business formats such as for documents, manual handling of boxes in and out is common, and during frequent delivery and pick-up storage operations, there are many damages such as box crushing, bottom leakage, and insufficient strength due to stacking. Also, by providing the plate material for reinforcing a cardboard box, an improvement in work efficiency and storage quality in business operations is expected, such as storing a single cardboard box for several years to 20 years or permanently. The base material of this plate material for reinforcing a cardboard box, in addition to high-strength cardboard sheet materials and cardboard, by recycling limestone-derived paper, recycled paper, recycled resin, used clothes and fabrics, etc., an expansion of options and demand for recycling applications is expected, contributing to the SDGs.
