Infant bed

Abstract

This item is a bag-shaped bed for putting a baby to sleep. It can be folded compactly and carried around. The bag body is made of a shape-memory material such as quilted fabric and can stand on its own. By placing a baby inside the bag body, it is possible to make the baby assume a comfortable posture with a moderate curve in the back and easy flexion and extension of the joints. Near the outer upper edge of the bag opening, a short handle is attached substantially parallel to the upper edge. By making the handle short in this way, it is possible to prevent the handle from getting caught on the baby's neck or body. Also, it is possible to discourage carrying this item with a baby still inside it.
