Abstract

This article is a toilet booth for children that is fixedly installed on the wall surface and floor surface in the toilet space of childcare facilities such as nurseries and kindergartens. This article configured the door (private room door) to be about half the width of the toilet booth. In the initial stage of the development process, for example, infants who have just had their diapers changed have no sense of shame about using the toilet. Learning a sense of shame is a very important factor in the growth of kindergarten children. Feeling ashamed is an emotion necessary for living in society. In particular, regarding the use of the toilet, it provides a good opportunity for kindergarten children to understand their own privacy and the boundaries with others. According to this article, even with the door open, half of the body can be hidden while using the toilet. For example, during the process of growing a sense of shame, in the initial stage, the toilet can be used with half of the body hidden with the door open, and finally, the door can be closed to use the toilet. In this way, the sense of shame of kindergarten children can grow little by little and contribute to the growth of kindergarten children. The door lock is a sliding type, which is easy to grasp the opening and closing from the outside, easy for kindergarten children to hold and operate, not easily broken by the operation of kindergarten children, and can be opened and closed from the outside by adults such as childcare workers as needed.
