Abstract

The article of the present design is a hook for hanging objects, such as hangers for hanging wetsuits, swimsuits, and other clothing, or lighting fixtures such as lanterns, from the latch of an automobile back door. As shown in the reference drawings showing the state of use, the latch hook 1 of the present design is used by engaging with the latch L of the back door D of an automobile such as a minivan, hatchback, or station wagon when the back door D is open. The latch hook 1 is made of synthetic resin or metal and includes a closed-loop (striker-shaped) engagement part 2 that engages with the latch L of the back door D, and a hook-shaped hanging part 3 for hanging objects such as hangers or lighting fixtures. A connecting plate part 4 is provided between the engagement part 2 and the hanging part 3 for reinforcement. The engagement part 2, connecting plate part 4, and hanging part 3 are integrally formed. When using the latch hook 1, the back door D is opened by flipping it up, and the engagement portion 2 of the latch hook 1 is fitted into the latch L from below, thereby locking the latch L and causing the latch hook 1 to be hung on the latch L of the back door D so that it cannot be removed. To remove the latch hook 1, the latch L is unlocked by grasping the door handle of the back door D.
