Abstract
This article is a mounting member FIX used to secure a shelf column PIL to a plasterboard wall or the like. This mounting member FIX comprises a base portion BS with a flat bottom surface and a contoured upper surface, and a generally cylindrical protrusion PR erected at the center of the width of the base portion BS. A portion of the generally cylindrical outer periphery of the protrusion PR is cut away along the length of the base portion BS, up to a position that reaches the upwardly facing arcuate surface CR. In this article, the cutout portion in the protrusion PR allows the bracket tip to freely insert when engaging the bracket with the shelf column PIL. The protrusion PR is hollow, and a metal ring MT with a threaded inner surface is embedded below the hollow (see reference diagram for explaining the configuration). Thin, trapezoidal-shaped connecting pieces CN, each with a cross-section, are erected along the length of the base portion BS, continuing from the protrusion PR. These connecting pieces CN are divided into inclined connecting pieces CN1 and CN2 and horizontal connecting pieces CN3 and CN4. The base portion BS is also formed with two vertical holes VT1 and VT2 and five inclined holes SL1 to SL5 that penetrate the base portion BS. The vertical holes VT1 and VT2 are guide holes for driving positioning pins, and the inclined holes SL1 to SL5 are guide holes for driving fixing pins ET that secure the positioned mounting member FIX to a plasterboard or the like. The five inclined holes SL1 to SL5 are divided into SL1 to SL4 and SL5 based on the difference in the inclination direction, but each consists of an elliptical hole that opens toward the bottom surface and multiple cylindrical holes with a radius equal to or smaller than the major axis of the elliptical hole, which are continuous in the inclination direction with their respective centers offset. On the other hand, the vertical holes VT1 to VT2 consist of a large-diameter cylindrical hole that opens toward the bottom surface and multiple small-diameter cylindrical holes that follow it, which are continuous in the vertical direction with their centers aligned. Additionally, symbols and letters that identify the vertically upward position when fixing the mounting member FIX are formed on the base portion BS, convexly on the top surface and concavely on the bottom surface. This product is used together with a positioning template AX, a positioning pin PN, a fixing pin ET, and a fixing screw SC. First, the template AX is positioned corresponding to the mounting position on the shelf column PIL, and then the template AX is suspended and fixed using a push pin or the like (reference diagram showing the positioning template). Next, the mounting member FIX (with the two positioning pins PN inserted into the vertical holes VT1 and VT2) (see reference diagram (a) showing the usage procedure) is temporarily fixed to the shelf column PIL.The shelf column PIL is a metal fixture with a square U-shaped cross section, with multiple square holes formed at a predetermined pitch, and round holes formed at appropriate locations between the upper and lower square holes. The tip of the bracket is inserted into a predetermined square hole without being obstructed by the outer periphery of the protrusion PR, allowing the bracket to be cantilevered on the shelf column PIL. To temporarily fix the mounting member FIX to the shelf column PIL, the mounting member FIX is inserted into the shelf column PIL with the positioning pins PN, PN inserted into the two vertical holes VT1, VT2. Then, the fixing screw SC is threaded through the round hole in the shelf column PIL and into the threaded groove of the metal ring MT built into the protrusion PR (see reference diagram (b) for the usage procedure). The mounting member FIX is temporarily fixed to multiple locations on the shelf column PIL, but at each position, the positioning pins PN, PN are exposed from the two vertically consecutive square holes. The shelf column PIL in this state is pressed against the vertically positioned template AX, and the outline of the shelf column PIL is aligned with the guide line. Then, with the vertical positioning established, the positioning pins PN are inserted into the wall to position and secure the mounting members FIX to the wall. This operation is performed for all mounting members FIX, and then all fixing screws SC are removed and the shelf column PIL is temporarily removed from the wall. This leaves only the multiple mounting members FIX in their positioned state on the wall. In this state, the template AX is pulled sideways until no template AX remains on the wall, after which the positioning pins PN are driven to their final position and fixing pins ET are driven into the inclined holes SL1-SL5 of the mounting members FIX. The shelf column PIL is then placed over the mounting members FIX, and fixing screws SC are screwed into the threaded grooves of the metal rings MT of the protrusions PR, completing the installation of the shelf column PIL.
