Gatepost with nameplate

Abstract

This item is a gatepost with a nameplate attached, and is designed to allow for easy nameplate replacement. The gatepost portion is a flat metal plate with a "U"-shaped notch, and the nameplate is made of wood that is thicker than the gatepost and has an "H"-shaped groove in cross section. The two can be joined by aligning the groove in the nameplate with the notch in the gatepost. Note that the portion of the nameplate that is inserted does not need to be the same size as the notch in the gatepost into which it is inserted; it can fit inside the notch, or it can extend beyond the notch.
