Information terminal with authentication function

Abstract

This device is installed in airports and allows users to go through immigration and customs procedures. It verifies identity by comparing the facial image on the passport with the image captured by the camera, and also allows for contactless fingerprint authentication using the camera, reading QR codes for information required for immigration and customs procedures, and entering information into customs declaration forms using a touch panel. Each of the left and right contactless fingerprint capture units has a camera located at the top of the interior. When performing fingerprint authentication, users place both hands, palms facing up, into the left and right contactless fingerprint capture units, allowing fingerprints to be captured and authenticated without the palms directly touching the camera. In addition, a reading position guide plate helps users place their hands in the appropriate position.
