Abstract

This article is a connector for connecting a messenger wire at any position in the middle of a suspension bolt, in a state approximately perpendicular to the axial direction of the suspension bolt. The connector comprises a suspension bolt holding member provided with an engaging portion that engages with the suspension bolt, a setscrew that screws into a threaded hole provided in the base of the suspension bolt holding member so as to be able to move forward and backward relative to the suspension bolt, a wire holding member that is connected to a connection portion extending from the base of the suspension bolt holding member and is bent in an approximately J shape when viewed from the front, and has a wire holding portion at its folded portion that holds the messenger wire, and a fastening screw that screws into a threaded hole formed in the upper portion of the folded portion.The engaging portion is engaged with the suspension bolt, and the setscrew is rotated to press the setscrew against the suspension bolt to hold the suspension bolt, and the messenger wire is inserted into the wire holding portion and the fastening screw is tightened to clamp and hold the messenger wire, connecting the suspension bolt and the messenger wire. As shown in the reference diagram showing the state of use, a suspension bolt attached to the ceiling of a building is placed inside the two hooks that make up the engaging portion of the suspension bolt holding member of this article, and the middle portion of the suspension bolt can be held by rotating the setscrew and pressing the tip of the setscrew against the suspension bolt.The messenger wire is inserted into the wire holding portion from above and stored, and the messenger wire is clamped and held by tightening the fastening screw, connecting the suspension bolt and the messenger wire.In addition, a messenger wire holding space formed by bending the wire in a mountain shape is provided between the folded portion and the screw hole into which the fastening screw is screwed, and a messenger wire with a larger diameter can be stored.
