Thermal transfer sheet

Abstract

This product is a thermal transfer sheet (ink ribbon) used in printers for photo printing, etc. The surface is made up of a yellow layer, a magenta layer, a cyan layer, a protective layer, and a special color layer, with a magenta detection mark placed between the protective layer and the special color layer. The detection mark is provided because it is difficult for a printer to detect the gap between the protective layer and the special color layer. Furthermore, magenta was used because the conventional black detection mark would increase the coating process and the number of inks used, which would increase the number of processes required to manufacture the ink ribbon.
