Abstract

The article relating to the present design (hereinafter referred to as "the Article") is a bag-opening cutter for easily opening items to be opened, such as food packaging bags, envelopes, or tofu packaging packs. The Article comprises a roughly U-shaped body formed by connecting the longitudinal base ends of a roughly rectangular plate-shaped upper member and a lower member, which face each other vertically, so that their longitudinal ends can come into contact with each other; a triangular blade provided at the tip of the lower surface (side surface of the lower member) of the Body, which protrudes to cut in the transverse direction (short direction); and a slide piece provided on the lower member of the Body so as to be slidable in the longitudinal direction. As shown in perspective views 1 and 2, the slide piece of the Article slides to an advanced position where its tip is approximately aligned with the tip of the upper member, while as shown in the reference perspective view showing the deformed state, it slides to a retracted position where its tip is closer to the base end than the blade of the upper member. As shown in Reference Perspective Diagram 1 illustrating the usage state, the slide piece is slid to its extended position, and the portion of the item to be opened, such as a food packaging bag or envelope, is inserted into the gap between the blade of the upper member of the main body and the tip of the slide piece. The blade is then pressed against the slide piece and moved laterally to cut the portion to be opened. On the other hand, when using this product on an item to be opened, such as a tofu packaging pack, as shown in Reference Perspective Diagram 2 illustrating the usage state, the slide piece is slid to its retracted position, and the flange of the tofu packaging pack is sandwiched between the upper and lower members of the main body. The tip of the slide piece is brought into contact with the flange on the outer circumference of the tofu packaging pack and the outer surface of the pack wall connected to this flange, while the blade of the upper member is pressed against the upper packaging surface of the tofu packaging pack and moved laterally to cut. Furthermore, this product has a magnetic plate attached to the underside of the lower member of the main body (opposite the side of the upper member), allowing for storage by magnetic attachment to a metal surface.
