Abstract

This article is a component of a handle lock that locks the handle of a switch that opens and closes a flow path, as shown in the [Reference Diagram Showing a Switch]. The handle lock, as shown in the [Reference Diagram Showing the Locked State], comprises a long member whose front end is inserted into a hole formed in the handle to lock the handle, a spring that biases the long member toward the handle, a pin fixed to the base end of the long member, and this article which applies force from the pin toward the handle. Two protrusions are provided spaced apart on the front side of this article. The pin is positioned between the two protrusions on the front side of this article so that the front end of the long member is inserted into the hole formed in the handle. As shown in the [Reference Diagram Showing the Unlocked State], the pin is positioned to contact the tips of the two protrusions on the front side of this article so that the front end of the long member exits the hole formed in the handle, allowing the handle to move. In the [Reference Diagram Showing the Locked State] and the [Reference Diagram Showing the Unlocked State], the hatched portion corresponds to this article.
