Abstract

This article is a road surface forming auxiliary member for forming a road surface capable of storing and draining water, and has a water storage space formed inside. An I-shaped through hole is formed on the upper side of the road surface forming auxiliary member, communicating with the water storage space, and the lower side is open. As shown in Reference Figure 1, by engaging the ends of the road surface forming auxiliary members via wall members (Reference Figures 2 and 3), a casting space is formed between one linearly connected road surface forming auxiliary member and wall member and another linearly connected road surface forming auxiliary member and wall member. When forming the road surface, this article is placed on crushed stone or the like laid on the ground, and then road surface forming material such as concrete is poured into the casting space (it is preferable to block the flow of the road surface forming material from the ends of the linearly connected road surface forming auxiliary members and wall members within the casting space with other members, etc.). As the poured road surface forming material hardens, a road surface is formed in which a drainage channel is formed that connects to the ground through the water storage space via the through hole. As shown in Reference Figures 2 and 3, recesses can be formed in the lower part of the wall member, allowing for a configuration in which rod-shaped members such as reinforcing bars can be inserted into multiple linearly arranged recesses, as shown in Reference Figure 1.
