Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0006] In hybrid vehicles, the motor is sometimes used to warm up the engine. In this case, the damper device installed between the motor and the engine operates across both the positive and negative torsional operating regions due to fluctuations in engine rotation. As a result, the relative rotation direction of the input and output rotating bodies in the damper device fluctuates alternately, and power is transferred between the components that make up these rotating bodies, generating a collision noise. Similarly, if a gear train is provided to change the rotation speed of the motor, noise will be generated in the gear pairs that make up the gear train for the same reason.
[0007] Therefore, the inventors of this case have proposed a damper device that can suppress the noise generated when operating across both positive and negative torsional regions, and have already filed an application for it (Japanese Patent Application No. 2020-134863).
[0008] This damper device has an elastic connecting section that elastically connects a first rotating body and a second rotating body in the rotational direction. The elastic connecting section has a first elastic member and a second elastic member that are pre-compressed and positioned in a neutral state where there is no torsion due to relative rotation between the first and second rotating bodies. In this case, in the neutral state, opposite torques act on each member by the first and second elastic members, so the generation of abnormal noise in a predetermined torsional region, including the neutral state, can be suppressed.
[0009] In such damper devices, the first and second elastic members must be pre-compressed before being assembled to the first and second rotating bodies, requiring ingenuity in the assembly process.
[0010] The object of the present invention is to enable easy assembly of elastic members in a damper device having a plurality of pre-compressed elastic members. [Means for solving the problem]
[0011] (1) The assembly method for a damper device according to the present invention is a method for assembling a damper device comprising a first rotating body, a second rotating body, a first elastic member, and a second elastic member. The first rotating body has a first support portion and a second support portion. The second rotating body is rotatable relative to the first rotating body and has a first housing portion and a second housing portion. The first housing portion is provided offset to the first rotation direction side with respect to the first support portion. The second housing portion is provided offset to the second rotation direction side with respect to the second support portion. The first elastic member is pre-compressed and arranged in the first support portion and the first housing portion. The second elastic member is pre-compressed and arranged in the second support portion and the second housing portion.
[0012] The assembly method for this damper device includes the following steps.
[0013] Step 1: The first support portion of the first rotating body and the first housing portion of the second rotating body are superimposed in an axial view so that there is no offset.
[0014] Step 2: The first elastic member is placed in the first support portion and the first housing portion, which are superimposed on each other.
[0015] Step 3: While compressing the first elastic member, the second rotating body is rotated toward the first rotation direction relative to the first rotating body so that the second support part and the second housing part are superimposed in an axial view so that there is no offset.
[0016] Step 4: The second elastic member is placed in the second support portion and the second housing portion, which are superimposed on each other.
[0017] Step 5: While compressing the second elastic member, rotate the second rotating body relative to the first rotating body by an offset angle toward the second rotation direction.
[0018] (2) Preferably, in each step, the first rotating body is fixed to the first jig in a way that prevents it from rotating.
[0019] (3) Preferably, the assembly method further includes a step of preparing a second jig. The second jig is rotatable about the rotation center of the second rotating member and rotates the second rotating member toward the first rotation direction in the third step and toward the second rotation direction in the fifth step.
[0020] (4) Preferably, the first jig has a fixing portion and the second jig has a pressing portion. The fixing portion prevents the end face of the first elastic member on the first rotational direction side from rotating. The pressing portion contacts the end face of the first elastic member on the second rotational direction side, and is capable of compressing the first elastic member.
[0021] (5) Preferably, the damper device further comprises a first sheet member and a second sheet member. The first sheet member supports the end face of the first elastic member on the first rotational direction side. The second sheet member supports the end face of the first elastic member on the second rotational direction side. In this case, the fixing part of the first jig and the pressing part of the second jig can be detachably attached to the first sheet member and the second sheet member. Then, in the third and fifth steps, the fixing part attached to the first sheet member is brought into contact with the end face of the first elastic member to restrict the movement of the end face of the first elastic member on the first rotational direction side, and the pressing part attached to the second sheet member is brought into contact with the end face of the first elastic member to activate the first elastic member.
[0022] (6) Preferably, the distance between the first sheet member and the second sheet member is the same as the free length of the first elastic member.
[0023] (7) Preferably, the offset angle between the first support and the first housing is the same as the offset angle between the second support and the second housing.
[0024] (8) The damper device according to the present invention includes a first rotating body, a second rotating body, a first elastic member, a second elastic member, and a pair of seat members. The first rotating body has a first support portion and a second support portion. The second rotating body is relatively rotatable with respect to the first rotating body and has a first accommodating portion and a second accommodating portion. The first accommodating portion is provided offset toward the first rotation direction with respect to the first support portion. The second accommodating portion is provided offset toward the second rotation direction with respect to the second support portion. The first elastic member is disposed in a pre-compressed state between the first support portion and the first accommodating portion, and elastically connects the first rotating body and the second rotating body in the rotation direction. The second elastic member is disposed in a pre-compressed state between the second support portion and the second accommodating portion, and elastically connects the first rotating body and the second rotating body in the rotation direction. The pair of seat members supports both end faces of the first elastic member and has assembly holes. The assembly holes are removably mountable with a jig for controlling the operation of the first elastic member when the first elastic member and the second elastic member are assembled.
[0025] Here, a jig can be attached to the assembly holes provided in the seat member. And when assembling the elastic member, the first rotating body and the second rotating body can be relatively rotated using this jig so that the offset between each support portion and each accommodating portion disappears. Therefore, in a device in which the support portion and the accommodating portion are offset, when assembling an elastic member pre-compressed in this portion, the elastic member can be easily assembled.
[0026] (9) Preferably, the assembly holes of the seat member are formed such that the attached jig can abut against the end face of the first elastic member and press the first elastic member.
[0027] < Here, the jig can be directly applied to the end face of the first elastic member, and the first rotating body and the second rotating body can be relatively rotated via the first elastic member. That is, the pressing force by the jig does not act on the seat member. For this reason, it is not necessary to increase the strength of the seat member.
Effect of the Invention
[0028] In the present invention as described above, the elastic members can be easily assembled in a damper device having a plurality of pre-compressed elastic members. [Brief explanation of the drawing]

[Modes for carrying out the invention]
[0030] [Overall structure] Figure 1 is a cross-sectional view of a damper device 1 with a torque limiter (hereinafter simply referred to as "damper device") according to one embodiment of the present invention. Figure 2 is a front view of the damper device 1, with some of its constituent components removed. In Figure 1, an engine (not shown) is located on the left side of the damper device 1, and a drive unit (not shown) including an electric motor and a transmission is located on the right side.
[0031] In the following explanation, the axial direction refers to the direction in which the rotation axis O of the damper device 1 extends. The circumferential direction refers to the circumferential direction of a circle centered on the rotation axis O, and the radial direction refers to the radial direction of a circle centered on the rotation axis O. Note that the circumferential direction does not need to perfectly coincide with the circumferential direction of a circle centered on the rotation axis O. Similarly, the radial direction does not need to perfectly coincide with the diametrical direction of a circle centered on the rotation axis O.
[0032] This damper device 1 is installed between the flywheel (not shown) and the input shaft of the drive unit, and is a device for limiting the torque transmitted between the engine and the drive unit, as well as damping rotational fluctuations. The damper device 1 includes a torque limiter unit 10 and a damper unit 20.
[0033] [Torque limiter unit 10] The torque limiter unit 10 is located on the outer circumference of the damper unit 20. The torque limiter unit 10 limits the torque transmitted between the flywheel and the damper unit 20. The torque limiter unit 10 includes a cover plate 11, a support plate 12, a friction disc 13, a pressure plate 14, and a cone spring 15.
[0034] [Damper Unit 20] The damper unit 20 includes an input-side plate 30 (an example of a first rotating body), a hub flange 40 (an example of a second rotating body), an elastic connecting part 50, and a hiss generation mechanism 60.
[0035] <Input side plate 30> The input-side plate 30 has a first plate 31 and a second plate 32. The first plate 31 and the second plate 32 are formed in a disc shape with a hole in the center and are spaced apart from each other in the axial direction. The first plate 31 has four stopper portions 31a and four fixing portions 31b on its outer circumference. The first plate 31 and the second plate 32 also have one pair of first support portions 301 and one pair of second support portions 302, respectively. In the first plate 31 and the second plate 32, the first support portions 301 and the second support portions 302 are formed in the same position. The first plate 31 has a hole 31c for rivets 17, and the second plate 32 has an assembly hole 32a at a position corresponding to the hole 31c. The inner circumference of the friction disc 13 of the torque limiter unit 10 is fixed to the first plate 31 by rivets 17 passing through this assembly hole 32a.
[0036] The stopper portion 31a is formed by bending the outer circumference of the first plate 31 toward the second plate 32 and extends in the axial direction. The fixing portion 31b is formed by bending the tip of the stopper portion 31a radially outward. This fixing portion 31b is fixed to the outer circumference end of the second plate 32 by a plurality of rivets 33. Therefore, the first plate 31 and the second plate 32 are unable to rotate relative to each other and are unable to move relative to each other in the axial direction.
[0037] As shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3, which shows the first plate 31, a pair of first support parts 301 are arranged opposite each other with the rotation axis O in between. A pair of second support parts 302 are also arranged opposite each other with the rotation axis O in between, at a 90° distance from the first support parts. Each support part 301, 302 has the same shape and has a hole that penetrates in the axial direction, and a cut-out edge portion on the inner and outer circumferential edges of this hole. Furthermore, recesses 301a, 302a are formed on both end faces in the circumferential direction of each support part 301, 302, bulging outward in the circumferential direction.
[0038] <Hub flange 40> As shown in Figures 1 and 2, the hub flange 40 comprises a hub 41 and a flange 42. The hub flange 40 is rotatable relative to the input plate 30 within a predetermined angular range. The hub 41 is formed in a cylindrical shape, with a spline hole 41a formed in its center. The hub 41 also penetrates the holes in the centers of the first plate 31 and the second plate 32. The flange 42 is formed in a disc shape, extending radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of the hub 41. The flange 42 is positioned axially between the first plate 31 and the second plate 32.
[0039] The flange 42 has four stopper projections 42b, a pair of first housing portions 401 and a pair of second housing portions 402, and four notches 403.
[0040] The four stopper protrusions 42b are formed to protrude radially outward from the outer circumferential surface of the flange 42. The positions where each stopper protrusion 42b is formed are radially outward from the circumferential center of each housing portion 401, 402. When the input-side plate 30 and the hub flange 40 rotate relative to each other, the stopper protrusions 42b come into contact with the stopper portion 31a of the first plate 31, thereby preventing relative rotation between the input-side plate 30 and the hub flange 40.
[0041] As shown in Figure 2 and Figure 3, which shows the hub flange 40 in detail, a pair of first housing portions 401 are arranged opposite each other with the rotation axis O in between. A pair of second housing portions 402 are also arranged opposite each other with the rotation axis O in between, between the two first housing portions 401 in the circumferential direction. Each housing portion 401 and 402 is the same shape, and is a substantially rectangular hole with an arc-shaped outer circumference. Furthermore, recesses 401a and 402a are formed on both end faces in the circumferential direction of each housing portion 401 and 402, bulging outwards in the circumferential direction.
[0042] The four notches 403 are formed radially inward from the outer surface of the flange 42 at a predetermined depth between adjacent housing portions 401 and 402 in the circumferential direction. The positions where each notch 403 is formed correspond to the positions of the rivets 17 that connect the friction disc 13 of the torque limiter unit 10 to the first plate 31. Therefore, the torque limiter unit 10 and the damper unit 20, which are assembled in separate processes, can be fixed together by the rivets 17 using the mounting holes 32a of the second plate 32 and the notches 403 of the flange 42.
[0043] <Arrangement of support and housing sections> Figure 3 shows the positional relationship of the hub flange 40 with respect to the input plate 30 (in this case, the first plate 31) in the neutral state. In Figure 3, line C1 is a line passing through the centers of the pair of first support parts 301 and the axis of rotation O. Line C2 is a line passing through the centers of the pair of second support parts 302 and the axis of rotation O. In the assembled state, the input plate 30 and the hub flange 40 are assembled so that they overlap each other, maintaining the positional relationship shown in Figure 3. Here, "neutral state" refers to a state where the relative rotation angle between the input plate 30 and the hub flange 40 is 0° (a torsional angle of 0°, meaning neither is twisted).
[0044] A pair of first housing sections 401 are positioned to correspond to a pair of first support sections 301. A pair of second housing sections 402 are positioned to correspond to a pair of second support sections 302. More specifically, the pair of first housing sections 401 are positioned such that they partially overlap the first support sections 301 in an axial view and are offset by an angle θ1 in the first rotation direction (hereinafter simply referred to as the "R1 side"). That is, the first housing sections 401 are positioned offset by an angle θ1 in the R1 side with respect to the line C1. The second housing sections 402 are positioned such that they partially overlap the second support sections 302 in an axial view and are offset by an angle θ1 in the second rotation direction (hereinafter simply referred to as the "R2 side"). That is, the second housing sections 402 are positioned offset by an angle θ1 in the R2 side with respect to the line C2.
[0045] <Spring seat 34> A pair of spring seats 34 are attached to the first support section 301 and the first housing section 401 (hereinafter, these may be collectively referred to as the "first window section w1") and the second support section 302 and the second housing section 402 (hereinafter, these may be collectively referred to as the "second window section w2"), so as to face each other.
[0046] As shown in Figure 4, the spring seat 34 has a disc-shaped support surface 34a, an outer peripheral support portion 34b, an inner peripheral support portion 34c, a projection 34d, and a pin insertion portion 34e. The outer peripheral support portion 34b is formed extending circumferentially from the radially outer end of the support surface 34a and has an arc shape that bulges radially outward. The inner peripheral support portion 34c is formed extending circumferentially from the radially inner end of the support surface 34a and has an arc shape that bulges radially inward. The projection 34d is cylindrical and is formed projecting circumferentially from the center of the support surface 34a. The pin insertion portion 34e is formed bulging axially from the support surface 34a on the opposite side from the projection 34d. A through groove 34f extending axially is formed in this pin insertion portion 34e. The through groove 34f has a nearly semicircular cross-section and opens in the direction in which the projection 34d protrudes.
[0047] The end face of the coil spring 51, which will be described later, abuts against the support surface 34a of the spring seat 34. The outer and inner circumferences of the coil spring 51 are also supported by the outer circumference support portion 34b and the inner circumference support portion 34c. The projection 34d extends into the interior of the coil spring 51. The through groove 34f of the pin insertion portion 34e is into which a pin from a jig, which will be described later, is inserted when assembling the coil spring 51. The pin inserted into the through groove 34f can directly press against the end face of the coil spring 51.
[0048] Here, when spring seats 34 are placed in each window section w1, w2, and the entirety of the first support section 301 of the input plate 30 and the entirety of the first housing section 401 of the hub flange 40 overlap in an axial view (i.e., the offset angle is "0"), the distance between the support surfaces 34a of opposing spring seats 34 is set to L. Similarly, when the entirety of the second support section 302 and the entirety of the second housing section 402 overlap in an axial view, the distance between the support surfaces 34a of opposing spring seats 34 is set to L.
[0049] <Elastic connecting part 50> The elastic connecting section 50 includes four coil springs 51 (an example of a first elastic member and a second elastic member) and four resin members 52. Each coil spring 51 has an outer spring and an inner spring. The four coil springs 51 are housed in the respective housing sections 401 and 402 of the flange 42 and are supported radially and axially by the respective support sections 301 and 302 of the input-side plate 30. These coil springs 51 operate in parallel.
[0050] Furthermore, the free length Sf of all four coil springs 51 is the same. The free length Sf of these coil springs 51 is the same as the distance L between the support surfaces 34a of the opposing spring seats 34 mounted on each window section w1, w2 when the offset angle is "0".
[0051] <Containment state of coil spring 51> Here, the state in which the coil springs 51 in each window section w1 and w2 are housed in the neutral position will be described in detail below.
[0052] As described above, in the neutral position, one pair of first housing sections 401 are offset by an angle θ1 toward R1 relative to the corresponding first support section 301. On the other hand, one pair of second housing sections 402 are offset by an angle θ1 toward R2 relative to the second support section 302. The coil spring 51 is fitted in a compressed state into the opening (a hole that penetrates in the axial direction) in the portion where each support section 301, 302 and the corresponding housing sections 401, 402 overlap in the axial direction.
[0053] [Assembly method] The assembly method of the damper unit 20 of the damper device 1 described above will be explained using the drawings from Figure 5 onward. Figures 5A to 5D schematically show the hub flange 40, the spring seat 34, and the coil spring 51. Note that the assembly of each component constituting the hiss generation mechanism 60 is omitted in the following explanation.
[0054] <Preparing the jig> First, prepare a first jig 71 and a second jig 72 as shown in Figure 6. The first jig 71 is disc-shaped and has an opening 71a in the center. The opening 71a has a circular hole formed in the center and a pair of elongated holes extending radially outward from the hole in opposite directions. The pair of elongated holes are offset in the circumferential direction.
[0055] The first jig 71 also has four fixing pins 71b and two movement restricting pins 71c. The fixing pins 71b and movement restricting pins 71c are formed to protrude upward from the surface of the first jig 71. The fixing pins 71b can be inserted into the rivet holes 31c of the first plate 31. The movement restricting pins 71c can be inserted into the through grooves 34f of the spring seat 34.
[0056] The second jig 72 is positioned within the opening 71a of the first jig 71 and has a disc portion 72a and a pair of arms 72b. The disc portion 72a is circular in shape and has a spline hole 72c formed in its center for rotating the second jig 72. The pair of arms 72b extend radially outward from the outer circumference of the disc portion 72a in opposite directions. Pressing pins 72d are provided projecting upward from the radially outer ends of the pair of arms 72b.
[0057] The first jig 71, as described above, is fixed to a table (not shown). The table is also provided with a rotatable spline shaft (not shown). The second jig 72 is then inserted into the opening 71a of the first jig 71, and the spline shaft is inserted into the spline hole 72c. This makes it possible to rotate the spline shaft and rotate the second jig 72 by a predetermined angle within the opening 71a of the first jig 71.
[0058] <Set of 31 plates> As shown in Figure 7, the first plate 31 is set on the first jig 71. Specifically, the fixing pin 71b of the first jig 71 is inserted into the rivet hole 31c of the first plate 31, thereby fixing the first plate 31 to the first jig 71 so that it cannot rotate. In this state, the movement restricting pin 71c of the first jig 71 and the pressing pin 72d of the second jig 72 are both located inside the first support part 301. After that, the first bush (omitted in Figure 7) is assembled.
[0059] <Set of 40 hub flanges> As shown in Figures 5A and 8, the hub flange 40 is set. Specifically, the hub flange 40 is set so that the entirety of the first support portion 301 of the first plate 31 and the entirety of the first housing portion 401 of the hub flange 40 overlap in an axial view. That is, the hub flange 40 is rotated by an angle θ1 toward R2 from the neutral position and set so that the offset angle is "0".
[0060] <Set of spring seat 34 and coil spring 51 for the first window section w1> As shown in Figures 5A and 9, spring seats 34 are set in the first window portion w1 and the second window portion w2. At this time, in the first window portion w1, a movement restricting pin 71c is set to pass through the through groove 34f of the spring seat 34 on the R1 side (an example of the first seat member), and a pressing pin 72d is set to pass through the through groove 34f of the spring seat 34 on the R2 side (an example of the second seat member). Therefore, the rotation of the spring seat 34 on the R1 side of the first window portion w1 is restricted, but the spring seat 34 on the R2 side can rotate together with the second jig 72.
[0061] In this state, the coil spring 51 and the resin member 52 are set in the first window portion w1. Here, as shown in Figure 5A, the entirety of the first support portion 301 and the entirety of the first housing portion 401 of the first window portion w1 are superimposed in an axial view, and the distance L between the support surfaces 34a of the opposing spring seat 34 is the same as the free length Sf of the coil spring 51. Therefore, the coil spring 51 can be easily assembled into the first window portion w1 without compression.
[0062] <Setting of coil spring 51 to the second window section w2> Next, as shown in Figure 5B, the second jig 72 is rotated toward R1 by an angle of 2·θ1. That is, the pressing pin 72d of the second jig 72 directly presses the end face of the coil spring 51 of the first window portion w1, compressing the coil spring 51 while rotating the hub flange 40 toward R1. As a result, the entirety of the second support portion 302 and the entirety of the second housing portion 402 of the second window portion w2 are superimposed in an axial view.
[0063] In this state, as shown in Figure 5C, the spring seat 34, coil spring 51, and resin member 52 are set in the second window portion w2. Here, as mentioned above, the distance L between the support surfaces 34a of the opposing spring seat 34 is the same as the free length Sf of the coil spring 51, so, as before, the coil spring 51 can be easily assembled into the second window portion w2 without compression.
[0064] <Set to neutral state> Next, as shown in Figure 5D, the second jig 72 is rotated by an angle θ1 toward R2. This brings the first plate 31 and the hub flange 40 into a neutral position as shown in Figure 2.
[0065] [Operation] Note that hysteresis torque is omitted from the following operation description and the torsional characteristics in Figure 10.
[0066] <First Window Section w1> In the neutral state where the input plate 30 and the hub flange 40 are not rotating relative to each other, the first support portion 301 and the first housing portion 401 are offset from each other in the first window portion w1. Therefore, the distance between the opposing spring seats 34 in each window portion w1 and w2 is shorter than the free length Sf of the coil spring 51. Consequently, in this neutral state, as shown in Figure 10B, a torsional torque -t is generated by the compressed coil spring 51.
[0067] When a torque fluctuation is input to the damper unit 20, and the input-side plate 30 twists from the neutral position relative to the hub flange 40 by an offset angle θ1 towards R1 (i.e., the hub flange 40 towards R2), the entirety of the first support portion 301 and the entirety of the first housing portion 401 overlap in an axial view, and the distance between the opposing spring seats 34 becomes L, which is the same as the free length Sf of the coil spring 51. Therefore, in this state, as shown in Figure 10B, the torsional torque becomes "0".
[0068] Furthermore, when the input plate 30 twists toward R1 beyond the offset angle θ1 relative to the hub flange 40, the distance between the opposing spring seats 34 becomes smaller than the free length Sf of the coil spring 51 again. Therefore, when the twist angle of the input plate 30 relative to the hub flange 40 exceeds the offset angle θ1, the coil spring 51 is compressed from its free length Sf, and the torsional torque gradually increases.
[0069] On the other hand, when the input plate 30 twists from a neutral position to the R2 side relative to the hub flange 40, the coil spring 51 is always compressed between the opposing spring seats 34. That is, as shown in Figure 10B, in the negative torsional region, the torsional torque increases to the negative side as the torsional angle increases.
[0070] <Second window section w2> Similar to the first window section w1, in the neutral state, the second support section 302 and the second housing section 402 are offset from each other in the second window section w2. Therefore, the distance between the opposing spring seats 34 in each window section w1 and w2 is shorter than the free length Sf of the coil spring. Consequently, in this neutral state, as shown in Figure 10C, a torsional torque +t is generated by the compressed coil spring 51.
[0071] When the input plate 30 twists from a neutral position to the R1 side relative to the hub flange 40, the coil spring 51 is always compressed between the opposing spring seats 34. That is, as shown in Figure 10C, in the positive torsional region, the torsional torque increases as the torsional angle increases.
[0072] On the other hand, if the input plate 30 is twisted by an angle θ1 offset from the neutral position toward R2 relative to the hub flange 40, the distance between the opposing spring seats 34 becomes L, which is the same as the free length Sf of the coil spring 51. Therefore, when the twist angle between the input plate 30 and the hub flange 40 is -θ1, the torsional torque becomes "0", as shown in Figure 10C.
[0073] Furthermore, when the input plate 30 twists toward R2 beyond an offset angle θ1 relative to the hub flange 40, the distance between the opposing spring seats 34 becomes narrower than the free length Sf of the coil spring 51 again. Therefore, when the twist angle exceeds -θ1, the coil spring 51 is compressed from its free length Sf, and as shown in Figure 10C, the torsional torque gradually increases toward the negative side.
[0074] <Synthesized torsional properties> The damper unit as a whole combines the characteristics shown in Figure 10B and Figure 10C to obtain the torsional characteristics shown in Figure 10A. That is, in the neutral state, the torsional torque is "0", and as the torsional angle increases on both the positive and negative sides, the torsional torque also increases on both the positive and negative sides.
[0075] Furthermore, as shown in Figure 10A, when the torsional angle reaches ±θ2, the resin members 52 in each window section w1, w2 are compressed. Therefore, the overall torsional characteristics become two-stage characteristics. When the torsional angle further reaches ±θ3, the stopper projection 42b of the flange 42 comes into contact with the stopper section 31a of the first plate 31, and relative rotation between the input plate 30 and the hub flange 40 is prohibited.
