Abstract

To provide an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that contains niacinamide, can employ an acrylic acid-alkyl methacrylate copolymer as an emulsifier without the addition of other emulsifiers, and exhibits a stable emulsion state.SOLUTION: The foregoing problem is solved by an oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic that contains (a) niacinamide, (b) an emulsifier which is an acrylic acid-alkyl methacrylate copolymer, (c) at least one water-holding oil agent selected from the group consisting of sterol-based water-holding oil agents and dipentaerythritol-based water-holding oil agents, and a (d) polar oil, where the ratio of the content of the component (d) to the content of the component (c) is less than 2.0.SELECTED DRAWING: None
