Description

[Technical field]

[0001] The present invention relates to a method for producing a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition. [Background technology]

[0002] Functional agents such as fragrances, sensates, moisturizers, and bactericides are incorporated into products for various applications. For example, fragrances are used in products such as fabric softeners, laundry detergents, and body detergents to impart fragrance to the products themselves, clothing, and the body. In this case, it is required to stably retain the fragrance so that the fragrance is not lost in the product. In order to maintain the effects of such functional agents, attempts have been made to encapsulate the functional agents in microcapsules and incorporate them into products.

[0003] For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a core-shell microcapsule slurry comprising at least one microcapsule having a) an oil-based core; b) a polymer shell formed by interfacial polymerization in the presence of an anionic emulsifier; and c) a coating comprising at least one cationic polymer. Patent Document 1 also describes the combination of the presence of an anionic emulsifier and a cationic polymer according to a specific charge density range to optimize deposition in rinse-off applications.

[0004] Patent Document 2 discloses a method for producing microcapsules, which comprises the following steps (1) and (2) and further comprises the following step (1-1) prior to step (2). Step (1): Forming a capsule having a core and a first shell Step (2): Forming a capsule having a second shell encapsulating the first shell Step (1-1): A step of adding a cationic polymer compound to the aqueous dispersion containing the capsules obtained in step (1). Furthermore, Example 11 of Patent Document 2 describes the addition of a microcapsule dispersion containing a cationic polymer compound in the presence of a surfactant such as a liquid detergent. [0011] The present invention will be described in detail below. However, the content of the present invention is not limited to the embodiments described below.

[0012] A method for producing the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition of the present invention (hereinafter, also simply referred to as the "composition") is a method for producing a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition containing the following components (A), (B), and (C): Component (A): Anionic surfactant (B) Component: negatively charged microcapsules Component (C): cationic polymer The above components (A), (B), and (C) are mixed by the following method (I) or (II). (I) While stirring the dispersion containing the component (A), the component (B) is added, and then the component (C) is added. (II) While stirring the dispersion containing the component (A), the component (C) is added, and then the component (B) is added.

[0013] The present invention has an effect of providing a method for producing a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition having high dispersibility of the microcapsules in the composition.Furthermore, the present invention has an effect of providing a good adsorption rate of the microcapsules to textile products and suppressing white residue due to aggregation of the microcapsules. The reason for this is not entirely clear, but is thought to be as follows. Since component (C) is a polymer and therefore has a certain degree of adhesiveness, it is believed to act as an adsorption aid for component (B), which is not adhesive by itself. Also, since component (C) has a cationic group and is positively charged, it is believed to act electrostatically on component (B), whose capsule surface is negatively charged. According to a composition produced by adding a premix of the (B) and (C) components to a dispersion containing the (A) component, the (B) and (C) components are considered to be mixed in the dispersion containing the (A) component while being in close proximity to each other. In the composition produced in this way, the electrostatic interaction between the (B) and (C) components is too strong, and the dispersibility of the microcapsules is reduced. When such a composition is used to wash textile products, the (C) component acts well as an adsorption assistant for the (B) component, and the adsorption rate of the microcapsules to the textile products is good, but the microcapsules tend to form aggregates, and it is presumed that the white residue caused by the aggregates tends to occur. In contrast, according to a composition produced by adding the (B) component while stirring a dispersion containing the (A) component, and then adding the (C) component, or by adding the (C) component while stirring a dispersion containing the (A) component, and then adding the (B) component, it is considered that the (B) component and the (C) component are mixed in the dispersion containing the (A) component in a state where they are present at a moderate distance. In the composition produced in this way, the electrostatic interaction between the (B) component and the (C) component becomes moderate, and the dispersibility of the microcapsules is improved. When such a composition is used to perform a cleaning treatment of a textile product, it is presumed that the (C) component acts well as an adsorption assistant for the (B) component, and the adsorption rate of the microcapsules to the textile product becomes good, and the formation of aggregates of the microcapsules is difficult, and white residue due to the aggregates is difficult to occur. It is presumed that such an action effect is more easily obtained by adding the (B) component after adding the (C) component than by adding the (C) component after adding the (B) component.

[0014] [Method for producing microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition] A method for producing a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition comprising the following components (A), (B), and (C): Component (A): Anionic surfactant (B) Component: negatively charged microcapsules Component (C): cationic polymer A method for producing a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition, comprising mixing the above-mentioned components (A), (B), and (C) by the following method (I) or (II). A 20 mm long Teflon (registered trademark) octagonal stirrer was placed in a 30 mL capacity glass screw tube bottle and the mass was measured. 7.0 g of the dispersion containing the above-obtained component (A) was placed in the screw tube bottle, and the component (B) was added while stirring the octagonal stirrer at a rotation speed of 850 rpm (circumferential speed 0.89 m / s) using a magnetic stirrer (ASONE, REXIM RS-6RD), and stirring was continued for 1 minute. Next, while continuing the stirring, the component (C) was added and stirred for 1 minute, and the balance amount of ion-exchanged water was added and stirred for 2 minutes to obtain a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition.

[0080] [Examples 11 to 21] Using the above components, a dispersion containing component (A) was prepared in the same manner as above according to the blending amounts shown in Table 3, and a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition was produced in the following manner according to the blending amounts shown in Table 3. (Production of Microcapsule-Containing Anionic Surfactant Composition) Component (B) was prepared by diluting four times with ion-exchanged water. A 20 mm long Teflon (registered trademark) octagonal stirrer was placed in a 30 mL capacity glass screw tube bottle and the mass was measured. 7.0 g of the dispersion containing the above-obtained component (A) was placed in the screw tube bottle, and the component (C) was added while stirring the octagonal stirrer at a rotation speed of 850 rpm (circumferential speed of 0.89 m / s) using a magnetic stirrer (ASONE, REXIM RS-6RD), and stirring was continued for 1 minute. Next, while continuing the stirring, the component (B) was added and stirred for 1 minute, and the balance amount of ion-exchanged water was added and stirred for 2 minutes to obtain a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition.

[0081] [Comparative Example 1] The component (B) was prepared by diluting it 2-fold with ion-exchanged water, and the component (C) was diluted to 0.2% by mass with ion-exchanged water to prepare a 0.2% by mass cationic polymer aqueous solution. A 20 mm long octagonal stirrer made of Teflon (registered trademark) was placed in a 100 mL glass beaker, and components (B) and (C) were added while stirring the octagonal stirrer at a rotation speed of 600 rpm (circumferential speed of 0.63 m / s) using a magnetic stirrer (ASONE, REXIM RS-6RD), to obtain a pre-mixed solution of components (B) and (C). A 20 mm long Teflon (registered trademark) octagonal stirrer was placed in a 30 mL capacity glass screw tube bottle and the mass was measured. 7.0 g of the dispersion containing the (A) component obtained in Example 1 was placed in the screw tube bottle, and while stirring the octagonal stirrer at 850 rpm (circumferential speed 0.89 m / s) using a magnetic stirrer (ASONE, REXIM RS-6RD), the pre-mixed liquid of the (B) and (C) components obtained above was added, and stirring was continued for 1 minute. Next, while continuing the stirring, the balance amount of ion-exchanged water was added and stirred for 2 minutes to obtain a microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition.

[0083] [evaluation] The microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant compositions obtained in the Examples and Comparative Examples were evaluated by the following methods, and the results are shown in Tables 2 and 3.

[0084] (1) Dispersibility A drop of each of the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant compositions shown in Tables 2 and 3 was placed on a slide glass, a cover glass was placed thereon, and a micrograph was taken using the measuring equipment shown below. Image analysis was performed by the method shown below, and dispersibility was evaluated according to the criteria shown below. Note that the micrographs of the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant compositions obtained in Examples 1 to 21 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 used in the dispersibility evaluation are shown in Figures 1 to 23.

[0086] (Image analysis method) Pre-processing The obtained micrographs were subjected to image processing using image analysis software ImageJ (manufactured by the National Institutes of Health, USA) as follows. Three of the obtained micrographs were randomly selected for each Example and Comparative Example, and each image was converted to 8-bit grayscale pixel depth. Next, the images were duplicated for background processing. For the duplicated images, select "cool" from the LookupTables in the Image tab. Next, select "Subtract background" from the Process tab, set the rolling ball radius to 200 pixels, and check "Light background" and "Create background". The image was inverted from the Edit tab. The original image before duplication was also inverted in the same way, and then select "Image calculator" from the Process tab, change the Operation item to "Sabtract", and specify Image1 as the image before duplication and Image2 as the image after duplication. Since a new image is generated when processing is performed, the image was returned to its state before inversion. Image analysis Set a threshold for the newly generated image and convert it into a binary image. For the binary image, select Analyze particles from the Analyze tab and set the threshold to 5μm. 2 The detector was set to detect these particles and the area of each aggregate was calculated.

[0087] (Evaluation Criteria) The dispersibility of the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant compositions of Examples 1 to 21 and Comparative Examples 1 and 2 shown in Tables 2 and 3 was evaluated according to the following criteria, and the results are shown in Tables 2 and 3. A higher dispersibility means a higher dispersibility of the composition. Dispersity 4: No aggregates within the field of view, or average particle size of 25 μm within the field of view 2 Aggregates less than Dispersion level 3: Average value within the field of view is 25 μm 2 More than 100μm 2 Aggregates less than Dispersion level 2: Average value within the field of view is 100 μm 2 More than 400μm 2 Aggregates less than Dispersion level 1: Average value within the field of view is 400 μm 2 Those containing aggregates of

[0088] (2) Adsorption rate of microcapsules The adsorption rate of the microcapsules was measured for Example 1, which represents the examples, and Comparative Examples 1 and 2. (Preparation of textile products for adsorption rate evaluation) 1.7 kg of cotton cloth (Cotton 2003 (Tanigashou Shoten)) was washed twice in a standard cycle of a fully automatic washing machine (Panasonic NA-F702P) (4.7 g of Emulgen 108 (Kao Corporation) during washing, 47 L of water, 9 minutes of washing, 2 rinses, 3 minutes of spin-drying), and then washed three times in water only (47 L of water, 9 minutes of washing, 2 rinses, 3 minutes of spin-drying), and dried for 24 hours in an environment of 23°C and 45% RH. The cotton cloth was then cut into pieces of 6 cm x 6 cm to prepare a number of textile products for evaluation. (Laundry treatment) A Tergotometer (manufactured by Ueshima Seisakusho Co., Ltd.) was used for the washing process. 0.6 L of water was placed in a 1-liter stainless steel beaker, and 3 g of the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition of Example 1, Comparative Example 1, or Comparative Example 2 listed in Table 2 was added. Then, 30 g of the prepared textile product for evaluation was added, and the textile product for evaluation was washed and treated under conditions of 85 rpm and 10 minutes while maintaining the water temperature at 20°C. After washing, the treated textile product was subjected to a dehydration process for 1 minute in a two-layer washing machine (model number "PS-H35L") manufactured by Hitachi, Ltd. After dehydration, 0.6 L of water was added again to a 1-liter stainless steel beaker, and the textile product that had been subjected to the dehydration process was placed in it. A rinse process was performed under conditions of 85 rpm and 3 minutes while maintaining the water temperature at 20°C. After rinsing, the treated textile product was again subjected to a dehydration process for 2 minutes in a two-layer washing machine. Ten samples of the textile products after dehydration (hereinafter referred to as "post-rinsing samples") were taken. (Extraction process) After rinsing, 10 samples were placed in a No. 8 screw tube (Maruemu), and 50 mL of methanol (for HPLC, Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.) containing 10 μg / mL dodecane as an internal standard was added. The screw tube was subjected to extraction using an ultrasonic cleaner (BRANSON 2800, ice bath) for 1 hour, followed by extraction using a shaker (Yamato Shaker SA-300, speed: Max) for 15 minutes, and then extraction using the ultrasonic cleaner (same conditions) for 1 hour, extracting the fragrance components remaining on the cloth into methanol. (Quantitative analysis of residual fragrances in textile products) The amount of perfume contained in the above-mentioned methanol extract was quantified by gas chromatography using the following measuring equipment and under the following measuring conditions, and the amount of perfume adsorbed remaining on the textile product in the sample after rinsing was quantified from the total amount of perfume contained in the methanol extract, and the adsorption rate of the microcapsules was calculated. The adsorption rate of Example 1 was 35%, and the adsorption rates of Comparative Examples 1 and 2 were 39% and 24%, respectively. [0089] (3) White residue The evaluation of white residue was carried out for Examples 1 and 11 and Comparative Example 1 as representative examples. A test cloth was coated with 1 g of the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition of Example 1, Comparative Example 1, or Example 11 of Table 3 on a black cotton cloth for testing (a crew neck T-shirt (manufactured by Uniqlo) cut to 6 cm x 6 cm), and the test cloth was dried overnight and fixed to a base cloth (plain weave cotton, approximately 40 cm x 40 cm) with a safety pin. The test cloth was placed in a laundry net and washed in a fully automatic washing machine (NA-F70PB15 manufactured by Panasonic) (42 L of water from Wakayama City at 20°C, 2.8 kg of clothes, wash for 10 minutes, spin dry for 8 minutes). At that time, the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant composition of Example 1, Comparative Example 1, or Example 11 of Table 2 was added to the cloth so that the concentration was 1 g / 1 L. After washing, the test cloth was dried (naturally dried overnight at the rate of temperature and humidity), and visually evaluated. No white residue was observed in Examples 1 and 11, but white residue was observed in Comparative Example 1.

[0090] [Table 2]

[0091] [Table 3]

[0092] From the results shown in Tables 2 and 3, the following was confirmed: It was confirmed that the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant compositions obtained in Examples 1 to 21 had high dispersibility of the microcapsules in the composition. Furthermore, it was confirmed that in Example 1, the adsorption rate of the microcapsules to the textile product was good and no white residue was left due to aggregation of the microcapsules. It was also confirmed that in Example 11, no white residue was left due to aggregation of the microcapsules to the textile product. Comparing Examples 5 and 17, Examples 9 and 20, and Examples 10 and 21, it was also confirmed that the dispersibility of the microcapsules in the composition was improved by adding component (C) while stirring a dispersion liquid containing component (A) and then adding component (B). Comparing Examples 3 to 5 and 10, it was confirmed that, under the condition that the blending ratio (A / C) is constant, the dispersibility of the microcapsules in the composition decreases as the content of the (B) component increases and the blending ratio (A / B) decreases. Comparing Examples 15 to 17 and 21, it was confirmed that there was a similar tendency. On the other hand, it was confirmed that the microcapsules had low dispersibility in the microcapsule-containing anionic surfactant compositions obtained in Comparative Examples 1 and 2. Furthermore, it was confirmed that in Comparative Example 1, which was produced by adding a premixed liquid of components (B) and (C) to a dispersion liquid containing component (A), white residue was generated on textile products due to aggregation of microcapsules. [Industrial Applicability]
