According to one embodiment of the present invention, an article having a surface treatment layer with excellent uniformity and a method for manufacturing the article are provided. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0009] In the present disclosure, a numerical range indicated using "~" includes the numerical values before and after "~" as the minimum and maximum values, respectively. In the numerical ranges described in stages in this disclosure, the upper or lower limit value described in one numerical range may be replaced with the upper or lower limit value of another numerical range described in stages. The limit values may be replaced by values shown in the examples. In the present disclosure, the term "surface treatment layer" refers to a layer formed on the surface of a substrate by surface treatment. In the present disclosure, "uniformity" refers to the smoothness of the surface of the surface treatment layer. In the present disclosure, when a compound or group is represented by a specific formula (X), the compound or group represented by the formula (X) may be referred to as compound (X) or compound X, and group (X) or group X, respectively.
[0010] [Surface treatment agent] The surface treatment agent of the present disclosure contains a compound having a reactive group and 1-chloro-2,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene (HCFO-1233yd).
[0011] According to the surface treatment agent of the present disclosure, a surface treatment agent with excellent uniformity can be formed. This is believed to be because 1-chloro-2,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene (HCFO-1233yd) as a solvent has excellent compatibility with compounds having reactive groups.
[0012] Hereinafter, each component contained in the surface treatment agent of the present disclosure will be described in detail.
[0013] <hcfo-1233yd> The surface treatment agent of the present disclosure includes HCFO-1233yd. HCFO-1233yd may be (E)-1-chloro-2,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene (HCFO-1233yd(E)), (Z)-1-chloro-2,3,3-trifluoro-1-propene (HCFO-1233yd(Z)), or a mixture of HCFO-1233yd(E) and HCFO-1233yd(Z).
[0014] The boiling point of HCFO-1233yd(E) is 48°C, and the boiling point of HCFO-1233yd(Z) is 54°C.
[0015] From the viewpoint of improving the uniformity of the surface treatment layer, it is preferable to use less HCFO-1233yd(E) having a low boiling point than HCFO-1233yd(Z) having a high boiling point. This is because HCFO-1233yd(Z) is less likely to evaporate due to its high boiling point, and the relatively high content of HCFO-1233yd(Z) makes the film formation speed appropriate, which is thought to improve the uniformity of the film. In other words, the mass ratio of the content of HCFO-1233yd(E) to the content of HCFO-1233yd(Z) is preferably less than 1, more preferably 0.80 or less, and even more preferably 0.65 or less. The lower limit of the mass ratio is, for example, 0.02.

[0320] [Goods] In one embodiment, the article of the present disclosure includes a substrate and a surface treatment layer disposed on the substrate and surface-treated with the surface treatment agent of the present disclosure.
[0321] The surface treatment layer may be formed on a part of the surface of the substrate, or may be formed on the entire surface of the substrate. The surface treatment layer may be spread on the surface of the substrate in the form of a film, or may be scattered in the form of dots. [0326] The substrate may be a substrate having one or both surfaces subjected to a surface treatment such as a corona discharge treatment, a plasma treatment, or a plasma graft polymerization treatment. A substrate having a surface treatment has better adhesion to the surface treatment layer, and the abrasion resistance of the surface treatment layer is further improved. For this reason, it is preferable to perform a surface treatment on the surface of the substrate that contacts the surface treatment layer. In addition, a substrate having a surface treatment is preferably a substrate having a surface treatment. When the substrate is provided with a base layer described later, the adhesion to the base layer is more excellent and the abrasion resistance of the surface treatment layer is further improved. Therefore, when the base layer is provided, it is preferable to perform a surface treatment on the surface of the substrate that contacts the base layer.
[0327] The surface treatment layer may be provided directly on the surface of the substrate, or a base layer may be provided between the substrate and the surface treatment layer. From the viewpoint of further improving the water repellency and abrasion resistance of the surface treatment layer, the article of the present disclosure preferably includes a substrate, a base layer disposed on the substrate, and a surface treatment layer surface-treated with the surface treatment agent of the present disclosure disposed on the base layer.
[0328] The underlayer is preferably a layer containing an oxide containing silicon and at least one specific element selected from the group consisting of Group 1 elements, Group 2 elements, Group 4 elements, Group 5 elements, Group 13 elements, and Group 15 elements of the periodic table.
[0329] Group 1 elements of the periodic table (hereinafter also referred to as "Group 1 elements") refer to lithium, sodium, potassium, rubidium and cesium. As Group 1 elements, lithium, sodium and potassium are preferred, and sodium and potassium are more preferred, from the viewpoint of being able to form a surface treatment layer on the underlayer more uniformly without defects, or from the viewpoint of further suppressing variation in the composition of the underlayer between samples. The underlayer may contain two or more types of Group 1 elements.
[0330] Group 2 elements of the periodic table (hereinafter also referred to as "Group 2 elements") refer to beryllium, magnesium, calcium, strontium, and barium. As Group 2 elements, magnesium, calcium, and barium are preferred, and magnesium and calcium are more preferred, from the viewpoint of being able to form a surface treatment layer on the underlayer more uniformly without defects, or from the viewpoint of further suppressing variation in the composition of the underlayer between samples. The underlayer may contain two or more types of Group 2 elements.
[0331] The Group 4 elements of the periodic table (hereinafter also referred to as "Group 4 elements") refer to titanium, zirconium, and hafnium. As the Group 4 elements, titanium and zirconium are preferable, and titanium is more preferable, from the viewpoint of forming a surface treatment layer on the underlayer more uniformly without defects, or from the viewpoint of further suppressing the variation in the composition of the underlayer between samples. The underlayer may contain two or more kinds of Group 4 elements.
[0332] The Group 5 elements of the periodic table (hereinafter also referred to as "Group 5 elements") refer to vanadium, niobium, and tantalum. As the Group 5 elements, vanadium is particularly preferred from the viewpoint of providing a surface treatment layer with superior abrasion resistance. The undercoat layer may contain two or more Group 5 elements.
[0333] Group 13 elements of the periodic table (hereinafter also referred to as "Group 13 elements") refer to boron, aluminum, gallium, and indium. As Group 13 elements, boron, aluminum, and gallium are preferred, and boron and aluminum are more preferred, from the viewpoint of being able to form a surface treatment layer on the underlayer more uniformly without defects, or from the viewpoint of further suppressing variation in the composition of the underlayer between samples. The underlayer may contain two or more types of Group 13 elements.
[0334] Group 15 elements of the periodic table (hereinafter also referred to as "Group 15 elements") refer to nitrogen, phosphorus, arsenic, antimony, and bismuth. As the Group 15 elements, from the viewpoint of forming a surface treatment layer on the underlayer more uniformly without defects, or from the viewpoint of further suppressing the variation in the composition of the underlayer between samples, phosphorus, antimony, and bismuth are preferable, and phosphorus and bismuth are more preferable. The underlayer may contain two or more types of Group 15 elements.
[0335] As the specific element contained in the underlayer, Group 1 elements, Group 2 elements, and Group 13 elements are preferred because they provide a surface treatment layer with superior abrasion resistance, Group 1 elements and Group 2 elements are more preferred, and Group 1 elements are even more preferred. The specific element may be one type of element or two or more types of elements.
[0336] The oxide contained in the underlayer may be a mixture of oxides of the above elements (silicon and the specific element) alone (e.g., a mixture of silicon oxide and an oxide of the specific element), a composite oxide containing two or more of the above elements, or a mixture of an oxide of the above elements alone and a composite oxide.
[0337] From the viewpoint of achieving better abrasion resistance of the surface treatment layer, the ratio of the total molar concentration of the specific elements in the underlayer to the molar concentration of silicon in the underlayer (specific elements / silicon) is preferably 0.02 to 2.90, more preferably 0.10 to 2.00, and even more preferably 0.20 to 1.80. The molar concentration (mol %) of each element in the underlayer can be measured, for example, by depth profile analysis using X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) using ion sputtering.
[0338] The underlayer may be a single layer or multiple layers. The underlayer may have an uneven surface. The thickness of the underlayer is preferably 1 to 100 nm, more preferably 1 to 50 nm, and even more preferably 2 to 20 nm. If the thickness of the underlayer is equal to or greater than the lower limit, the adhesion of the underlayer to the surface treatment layer is improved, and the surface treatment layer has better abrasion resistance. If the thickness of the underlayer is equal to or less than the upper limit, the underlayer itself has better abrasion resistance. The thickness of the underlayer is measured by observing a cross section of the underlayer with a transmission electron microscope (TEM).
[0339] The underlayer can be formed by, for example, a deposition method using a deposition material or a wet coating method.
[0340] The deposition material used in the deposition method preferably contains an oxide containing silicon and a specific element. Specific examples of the form of the deposition material include powder, melt, sintered body, granulated body, and crushed body, and from the viewpoint of handleability, the melt, sintered body, and granulated body are preferred. Here, the melt refers to a solid obtained by melting the powder of the deposition material at a high temperature and then cooling and solidifying it. The sintered body refers to a solid obtained by firing the powder of the deposition material, and a molded body may be used by pressing the powder instead of the powder of the deposition material as necessary. The granulated body refers to a solid obtained by kneading the powder of the deposition material with a liquid medium (e.g., water, organic solvent) to obtain particles, and then drying the particles.
[0341] The deposition material can be produced, for example, by the following method. A method of obtaining a powder of deposition material by mixing silicon oxide powder with a powder of an oxide of a specific element. A method in which the above-mentioned deposition material powder and water are kneaded to obtain particles, and then the particles are dried to obtain granules of the deposition material. A method of mixing a powder containing silicon (e.g., powder made of silicon oxide, silica sand, silica gel), a powder containing a specific element (e.g., powder of an oxide of a specific element, carbonate, sulfate, nitrate, oxalate, hydroxide), and water, drying the mixture, and then firing the dried mixture or a compact obtained by pressing the mixture to obtain a sintered body. A method in which a powder containing silicon (e.g., powder made of silicon oxide, silica sand, silica gel) and a powder containing a specific element (e.g., powder of an oxide, carbonate, sulfate, nitrate, oxalate, hydroxide of a specific element) are melted at high temperature, and the melt is then cooled and solidified to obtain a molten material.
[0342] A specific example of a deposition method using a deposition material is a vacuum deposition method, in which a deposition material is evaporated in a vacuum chamber and attached to the surface of a substrate. The temperature during deposition (for example, the temperature of the boat in which the deposition material is placed when a vacuum deposition apparatus is used) is preferably 100 to 3,000°C, and more preferably 500 to 3,000°C. The pressure during deposition (for example, the pressure in a tank in which the deposition material is placed when a vacuum deposition apparatus is used) is preferably 1 Pa or less, and more preferably 0.1 Pa or less. When the underlayer is formed using a deposition material, one deposition material may be used, or two or more deposition materials containing different elements may be used.
[0343] Specific examples of the evaporation method of the deposition material include a resistance heating method in which the deposition material is melted and evaporated on a resistance heating boat made of a high melting point metal, and an electron gun method in which the deposition material is irradiated with an electron beam to directly heat the deposition material to melt and evaporate the surface. The electron gun method is preferred as the evaporation method of the deposition material because it can evaporate high melting point substances because it can heat locally, and because the areas not hit by the electron beam are at low temperature, there is no risk of reaction with the container or contamination with impurities. The evaporation method of the deposition materials may use multiple boats, or may use a single boat containing all the deposition materials. The deposition method may be co-deposition or alternating deposition. Specifically, examples include a case where silica and a specific source are mixed in the same boat and used, a case where silica and a specific element source are placed in separate boats and co-deposited, and a case where they are placed in separate boats and alternately deposited. The deposition conditions, order, etc. are appropriately selected depending on the configuration of the underlayer.

Examples of the exterior material include a window, a light cover, and an exterior camera cover. Examples of the interior material include an instrument panel cover, a navigation system touch panel, and a decorative interior material.
[0354] When the article of the present disclosure is an optical member, the material constituting the surface of the substrate is a material for optical members, for example, glass or transparent plastic. When the article of the present disclosure is an optical member, the surface (outermost layer) of the substrate may be formed with a functional layer such as a hard coat layer or an antireflection layer. In addition, the substrate may have an insulating layer, an adhesive layer, a protective layer, a decorative frame layer (I-CON), an atomizing film layer, a hard coating film layer, a polarizing film, a phase difference film, a liquid crystal display module, etc., depending on its specific specifications.
[0355] [Production method] The method for producing an article according to the present disclosure is, for example, a method for producing an article having a surface treatment layer formed on a substrate by performing a surface treatment on a substrate using the surface treatment agent according to the present disclosure. Examples of the surface treatment include a dry coating method and a wet coating method.
[0356] Examples of the dry coating method include vacuum deposition, CVD, sputtering, and the like. As the dry coating method, the vacuum deposition method is preferred from the viewpoint of suppressing the decomposition of the compound and the simplicity of the device. In the vacuum deposition, a pellet-shaped material in which a metal porous body such as iron or steel is impregnated with the compound of the present disclosure may be used. A composition containing the compound of the present disclosure and a liquid medium may be impregnated into a metal porous body such as iron or steel, the liquid medium may be dried, and a pellet-shaped material impregnated with the compound of the present disclosure may be used.
[0357] Examples of the wet coating method include spin coating, wipe coating, spray coating, squeegee coating, dip coating, die coating, inkjet coating, flow coating, roll coating, casting, Langmuir-Blodgett coating, and gravure coating.
[0358] In order to improve the abrasion resistance of the surface treatment layer, if necessary, an operation for promoting the reaction between the compound of the present disclosure and the substrate may be carried out. Such an operation may include heating, humidification, light irradiation, etc. For example, by heating a substrate on which a surface treatment layer has been formed in an atmosphere containing moisture, it is possible to promote reactions such as hydrolysis reaction of hydrolyzable groups, reaction of hydroxyl groups or the like on the substrate surface with silanol groups, and generation of siloxane bonds through condensation reaction of silanol groups. After the surface treatment, compounds in the surface treatment layer that are not chemically bonded to other compounds or the substrate may be removed as necessary. Examples of the method for removing the compounds include pouring a solvent onto the surface treatment layer and wiping the compounds off with a cloth soaked in the solvent. EXAMPLES

[0371] [Preparation of surface treatment agent] Each compound shown in Table 1 was mixed with a solvent shown in Table 1 to obtain a surface treatment agent having a solid content concentration of 0.1 mass %. The substrate was subjected to a surface treatment using a surface treatment agent by a wet coating method.
[0372] <Wet coating method> 30 g of silicon oxide was placed as a deposition source on a copper hearth in a vacuum deposition apparatus (VTR-350M manufactured by ULVAC Kiko Co., Ltd.). A glass substrate was placed in the vacuum deposition apparatus, and the inside of the vacuum deposition apparatus was heated to 5×10 -3 The pressure in the hearth was evacuated to a pressure of 0.1 Pa or less. The hearth was heated to about 2,000° C., and silicon oxide was vacuum-deposited on the surface of the substrate. As a result, a silicon oxide layer of about 20 nm in thickness was formed on the substrate.
[0373] The substrate on which the silicon oxide layer was formed was placed on the sample stage of a spray coater (API-90RS, manufactured by Apiros Co., Ltd.) so that the silicon oxide layer was on the surface. Next, 13 g of the prepared surface treatment agent was placed in a syringe in the spray coater, and spray-coated at an atomization pressure of 130 kPa, a nozzle-to-sample surface distance of 50 mm, and a scanning speed of 300 mm / sec. The coated substrate was then heat-treated at 140°C for 30 minutes. As a result, an article having a surface treatment layer on the surface of the silicon oxide layer was obtained.
[0374] Next, the uniformity of the surface treatment layer of the obtained article was evaluated.
[0375] The arithmetic mean height Sa of the surface of the surface treatment layer was measured using an atomic force microscope (product name "AFM5500M", manufactured by Hitachi High-Tech Science Corporation). The evaluation criteria were as follows: The "arithmetic mean roughness of a surface (Sa)" is a parameter that extends Ra (arithmetic mean roughness of a line) to a surface, and represents the average of the absolute value of the difference in height of each point with respect to the average surface of the surface. The calculation method complies with ISO 25178:2010. A: Sa is 10 nm or less. B: Sa is more than 10 nm and 20 nm or less. C: Sa is greater than 20 nm.
[0376] The evaluation results are shown in Table 1. Examples 1 to 4 are working examples, and Examples 5 and 6 are comparative examples.
[0377] [Table 1]
[0378] As shown in Table 1, in Examples 1 to 4, it was found that a surface treatment layer having excellent uniformity could be formed on the substrate, which contained a compound having a reactive group and HCFO-1233yd. It was found that in Examples 1 to 3, in which the mass ratio of the content of HCFO-1233yd(E) to the content of HCFO-1233yd(Z) was less than 1, a surface treatment layer having particularly excellent uniformity could be formed.
