Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to a cosmetic composition. [Background technology]
[0002] There are high-performance cosmetics that contain active ingredients such as whitening ingredients, and efforts have been made to stably blend the active ingredients. On the other hand, for skin care cosmetics, the texture and feel when applied to the skin are also important.
[0003] For example, there is a demand for cosmetics that have a moderate richness when applied to the skin, and that subsequently crumble and impart a fresh, watery feel as if the skin is overflowing with water. For this reason, oil-in-water emulsion cosmetics that contain (A) an associative thickener, (B) a water-absorbent polymer, and (C) a polar oil have been reported (see, for example, Patent Document 1). [Prior art documents] [Patent documents]
[0004] [Patent Document 1] JP 2021-116229 A Summary of the Invention [Problem to be solved by the invention]
[0005] An object of the present invention is to provide a cosmetic composition that has an excellent feel when applied, and that allows the user to feel its thickness even when a salt-type drug is used. [Means for solving the problem]
[0006] The cosmetic composition of the present invention as a means for solving the above-mentioned problems contains (A) a carbomer, (B) a thickening polysaccharide, (C) an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer, (D) a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl (C18-C28) ether, and (E) a salt-type drug. Effect of the Invention
[0007] According to the present invention, it is possible to provide a cosmetic composition that has an excellent feel when applied, and that has a sense of thickness even when a salt-type drug is used. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0008] (Cosmetic composition) The cosmetic composition of the present invention contains (A) a carbomer, (B) a thickening polysaccharide, (C) an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer, (D) a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl (C18-C28) ether, and (E) a salt-type drug, and may further contain other ingredients as necessary.
[0009] A smooth, moisturizing feel that blends well is a desired characteristic of many cosmetic products, but it is not easy to achieve a desired thickness during application without compromising these characteristics. On the other hand, it is known that the thickness during application is highly dependent on the blending of a thickener. The present inventors have found that when a salt-type agent is blended into a cosmetic composition of the prior art, the action of the thickener is inhibited, and the thickness during application is not felt sufficiently. As a result of intensive research aimed at solving the above problem, the present inventors have found that by using (A) a carbomer, (B) a thickening polysaccharide, and (C) an alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer as thickeners, and further using (D) a polyoxyethylene polyoxypropylene alkyl (C18-C28) ether and (E) a salt-type agent in combination, it is possible to provide a cosmetic composition that has a good blending and smooth lotion-like feel during application and an excellent feel during application, even when a salt-type agent is used, and thus have completed the present invention.
[0010] <(A) Carbomer> The (A) carbomer is an acrylic acid polymer (carboxyvinyl polymer) having an acrylic acid polymer as the main chain and crosslinked with at least one of pentaerythyl aliether, sucrose aliether, and propylene aliether, and is used as a thickening agent.
[0011] Examples of commercially available products of the (A) carbomer include Carbopol (registered trademark) 940, 941, 980, 981, 934, 2984, and 5984 (manufactured by Lubrizol Corporation), and Hiviswako (registered trademark) 104 and 105 (manufactured by Fujifilm Wako Pure Chemical Industries, Ltd.). These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0012] The content of the (A) carbomer is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose, but in terms of maintaining an excellent feeling of use that allows the thickness to be felt during application even when a salt-type drug is used, as well as a good blending and smooth feeling of use like a lotion, the content is preferably 0.05% by mass or more and 0.3% by mass or less, more preferably 0.1% by mass or more and 0.3% by mass or less, and even more preferably 0.15% by mass or more and 0.3% by mass or less, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic composition. If the content is less than 0.05% by mass, the thickness may not be felt sufficiently during application, and if the content exceeds 0.3% by mass, the viscosity may be too high, resulting in a poor feeling of use.
[0013] <(B) Thickening polysaccharides> The thickening polysaccharide (B) is a polysaccharide used to increase the viscosity of a cosmetic composition, and is used as a thickening agent.
[0014] The thickening polysaccharide (B) is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose. Examples thereof include xanthan gum, succinoglycan, gellan gum, dextran, hyaluronic acid, guar gum, locust bean gum, quince seed, and carrageenan. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0015] The content of the thickening polysaccharide (B) is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose, but even if a salt-type drug is used, in order to provide an excellent feeling of use in which the thickness can be felt during application, and to maintain a good blending and smooth feeling of use like a lotion, the content is preferably 0.03% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less, more preferably 0.05% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less, and even more preferably 0.08% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic composition. If the content is less than 0.03% by mass, the thickness may not be felt sufficiently during application, and if the content exceeds 0.2% by mass, the viscosity may be too high and the feeling of use may be poor.
[0016] <(C) Alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer> The (C) alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer is a copolymer of one or more monomers selected from acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or simple esters thereof with an alkyl acrylate (C10-30) crosslinked with an allyl ether of sucrose or an allyl ether of pentaerythritol, and is used as a thickener and emulsifier. These may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
[0017] The (C) alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer may be, for example, an acrylates / alkyl acrylate (C10-30) crosspolymer, and a commercially available product thereof, PEMULEN (registered trademark) TR-2 (manufactured by Lubrizol Corporation), may be suitably used.
[0018] The content of the alkyl-modified carboxyvinyl polymer (C) is not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected according to the purpose, but even if a salt-type drug is used, in order to maintain a good blending and smooth lotion-like feel in addition to providing an excellent feeling of use that allows the thickness to be felt during application, the content is preferably 0.02% by mass or more and 0.1% by mass or less, more preferably 0.03% by mass or more and 0.1% by mass or less, and even more preferably 0.05% by mass or more and 0.1% by mass or less, relative to the total amount of the cosmetic composition. If the content is less than 0.02% by mass, the thickness may not be felt sufficiently during application, and if the content exceeds 0.1% by mass, the viscosity may be too high and the feel of use may be poor.
[0019] [Contents of components (A), (B) and (C)] The contents of the (A) component, the (B) component, and the (C) component are not particularly limited and can be appropriately selected depending on the purpose. However, even if a salt-type drug is used, in order to provide an excellent feeling of use in which the thickness can be felt during application, and to maintain a good affinity and smooth feeling of use like a lotion, the content of the (A) component is from 0.05% to 0.3% by mass, the content of the (B) component is from 0.03% to 0.2% by mass, and the content of the (C) component is from 0.02% to 0.1% by mass. It is preferable that the content of the (A) component is 0.1% by mass or more and 0.3% by mass or less, the content of the (B) component is 0.05% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less, and the content of the (C) component is 0.03% by mass or more and 0.1% by mass or less, and it is even more preferable that the content of the (A) component is 0.15% by mass or more and 0.3% by mass or less, the content of the (B) component is 0.08% by mass or more and 0.2% by mass or less, and the content of the (C) component is 0.05% by mass or more and 0.1% by mass or less.

[0053] <Familiarity> The cosmetic compositions thus prepared were subjected to a sensory evaluation according to the above-mentioned procedure to determine whether or not the cosmetic compositions felt good on the skin and were evaluated according to the following evaluation criteria. -Evaluation criteria- 〇: I felt it was easy to use △: I felt it blended in well and was easy to use. ×: I didn't feel it was easy to use
[0054] (Comparative Examples 1 to 7) The cosmetic compositions of Comparative Examples 1 to 7 were prepared in the same manner as in Example 1, except that at least one of the essential components (A) to (E) was omitted as shown in Table 1, and the "thickness during application," "smoothness," and "goodness of compatibility" were evaluated. The viscosity of Comparative Example 2 was also measured. The results are shown in Table 1.
[0055] (Examples 2 to 10) Cosmetic compositions of Examples 2 to 10 were prepared in the same manner as in Example 1, except that the formulations in Tables 2 and 3 were used, and the "thickness during application," "smoothness," and "goodness of compatibility" were evaluated. The viscosities of Examples 3 and 6 were also measured. The results are shown in Tables 2 and 3.
[0056] [Table 1]
[0057] [Table 2]
[0058] [Table 3]
[0059] As shown in Tables 1 to 3, the cosmetic compositions of Examples 1 to 6 contain all of the (A) component to the (E) component, and therefore have an excellent feel when applied, even when a salt-type drug is used. In addition, it was found that the composition maintains a smooth, lotion-like feel when applied. It was also found that the same feel when applied as in Example 1 could be ensured even when various (E) components were used (Examples 1 and 7 to 10).
[0060] On the other hand, when any of the components (A) to (E) was not included (Comparative Examples 1 to 7), it was not possible to ensure all of the thickness, smoothness, and good compatibility during application.
