DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS

[0021] Hereinafter, the embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail. However, the present invention is not limited to these, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the description. The technical scope of the present invention also includes embodiments obtained by appropriately combining the technical means disclosed in the different embodiments.

[0022] In order to more specifically describe each embodiment of the present invention, the following description will be made with reference to the accompanying drawings. It should be understood that when a member is "connected" or "installed" on another member, it indicates that the member is directly located on the other member, or that an intermediate member is present and the member is connected to the other member via the intermediate member. Conversely, when a member is "directly located on the other member" or "directly connected to the other member", it is clearly defined that there is no intermediate member.

[0023] First, an embodiment of an audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 according to the present invention will be described with reference to Figs. 1 to 6.

[0024] The audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 of the present invention includes an eye mask body 110, two earmuffs 120, an infrared sensing unit 130, a calculation module, and a control module. The eye mask body 110 is connected to the earmuffs 120 on both sides by two connecting parts on both sides, and the earmuffs 120 on both sides are further connected by a fixing strap 170. To put on the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 of the present invention, it is only necessary to align the light emitting unit 112 of the eye mask body 110 with the left and right eye socket positions of the user, respectively, and align the two earmuffs 120 with the left and right ears of the user, respectively. Then, the fixing strap 170 is wrapped around the back of the user's head, and the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 of the present invention is firmly attached to the user's head. The fixing strap 170 is made of an elastic material and has a clasp for the user to adjust the tightness of the fixing strap 170. In addition, the eye mask body 110 of the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 according to the present invention is further provided with a folding member 180 in the middle, so that the user can bend or fold the eye mask as needed, and it can be more conveniently attached to the user's head. This design ensures the user's comfort and provides good adaptability both when wearing and using. In addition, the folding member 180 allows the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 to be folded, making it convenient to store.

[0025] The audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 further has a plurality of buttons 116 and two breathing lights on the outside of the eye mask body 110, the plurality of buttons 116 are installed on the outer periphery of the eye mask body 110, and two buttons 116 are illustrated in FIG. 1. One button 116 is used to select a mode provided by the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 (see Table 1), and the other button 116 is used to turn on or off the function of the eye mask 100. The two breathing lights are arranged on the outside of the eye mask body 110 and correspond to the positions of the user's eye sockets. The breathing lights provide a visual sense of rhythm and a relaxing effect based on the rhythm of the user's breathing. In addition, the eye mask body 110 further has an air injection unit 114 electrically connected to the control module. The air injection unit 114 generally refers to a device or member that injects gas (usually air) into an object (e.g., an air cushion, an air bag, etc.) to inflate it. Such a unit usually includes a charging valve or connector, which is connected to an air source (e.g., an air cylinder, an air pump, a manual pump, etc.) through the valve or connector, and controls the air filling level by adjusting the air pressure or time. The air injection unit 114 is a device that massages the eye socket and temple position to provide a relaxing and soothing effect. The audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 further includes a charging unit located at the bottom of the eye mask body 110 for connecting to an external power source for charging.

[0026] [Table 1]

[0027] According to the literature (Fred Shaffer and JP Ginsberg, An Overview of Heart Rate variability Metrics and Norms, Front Public Health. 2017; 5: 258.), the waveform of reflected light measured by PPG does not have a waveform such as PQRST in ECG, but only has a peak of R wave, which is delayed in time. However, only the interval of R wave is required to calculate HRV, so PPG can replace conventional ECG signals. Since electrocardiogram (ECG) measurement equipment is expensive and complicated, the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 according to the present invention measures heart rate by photoplethysmography (PPG). The audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 according to the present invention measures heart rate by infrared sensing unit 130. The infrared sensing unit 130 (i.e., a PPG sensor) is positioned on the two earmuffs 120, emits light radiation onto the user's skin, measures changes in blood flow from the reflected light to estimate the user's heart rate, and transmits the user's heart rate to a calculation module.

[0028] The calculation module estimates the user's heart rate variability based on the heart rate signal transmitted by the infrared sensing unit 130. It can know whether the user's body is tense or relaxed by evaluating the activity of the sympathetic or parasympathetic nerves according to the parameters calculated from the heart rate variability. It can execute a mode suitable for the user by knowing the user's physical condition. It can also output the change in the user's physical condition.

[0029] A control module is disposed inside the eye mask body 110, and the control module is electrically connected to the two sound units, the infrared sensing unit 130, and the two light emitting units 112. The control module controls the two light emitting units 112 and the two sound units through step feedback according to the user's heart rate variability to generate a plurality of colored light beams, and set the signal of the infrared sensing unit 130 within a set range through a plurality of working modes, one of a flash frequency and a sound frequency. The plurality of working modes include a first mode, a second mode, a third mode, and a fourth mode.

[0030] In the first mode, the control module controls each of the light-emitting units 112 to emit a first color light, and controls each of the sound units to emit a first predetermined frequency difference, and each of the first color light emitted by each of the light-emitting units 112 has the first predetermined frequency difference. In the second mode, the control module controls each of the light-emitting units 112 to emit a second color light, and controls each of the sound units to emit a second predetermined frequency difference, and each of the second color light emitted by each of the light-emitting units 112 has the second predetermined frequency difference. In the third mode, the control module controls each of the light-emitting units 112 to emit a third color light, and controls each of the sound units to emit a third predetermined frequency difference, and each of the third color light emitted by each of the light-emitting units 112 has the third predetermined frequency difference. In the fourth mode, the control module controls each of the light-emitting units 112 to emit a fourth color light, and controls each of the sound units to emit a fourth predetermined frequency difference, and each of the second color light emitted by each of the light-emitting units 112 has the fourth predetermined frequency difference. The first color light, the second color light, the third color light, and the fourth color light are respectively selected from a group consisting of red light, blue light, and green light in different ratios, and the first predetermined frequency difference, the second predetermined frequency difference, the third predetermined frequency difference, and the fourth predetermined frequency difference are alpha waves, beta waves, theta waves, and delta waves, respectively.

[0031] Next, in the first working mode, the audio units respectively arranged inside the two earmuffs 120 play sounds to the left and right ears of the user, respectively, and the audio frequencies of the left and right ears are alpha waves with a first predetermined frequency difference. The flashing frequency of the first color light beams respectively emitted by the two light-emitting units 112 is also alpha waves with a first predetermined frequency difference. The frequency of the alpha waves is in the range between 8 and 12 Hz. The first color light beams are selected from a group consisting of red light, blue light, and green light in different ratios, with a higher ratio of blue light having a nerve-relaxing effect. Alpha waves are usually generated when the user is relaxed, resting with eyes closed, relaxing, meditating, or resting. When a person is awake but relaxed, the activity of alpha waves is stronger.

[0032] The frequency of the beta waves (i.e., the second predetermined frequency difference) ranges between 12-28 Hz, and beta waves are typically associated with alertness, concentration, thinking, conversation, and daily activities. In states of alertness and concentration, beta wave activity is stronger. The second colored light is selected from a group consisting of red, blue, and green light in different ratios, with a higher proportion of red light, which has a neuroactivating effect.

[0033] The frequency of the theta waves (i.e., the third predetermined frequency difference) is in the range of 4-8Hz, and theta waves usually occur in a deep relaxed state and a light sleep state. The third color light is selected from a group consisting of red light, blue light, and green light in different ratios, but with a higher ratio of blue light than the first color light.

[0034] The frequency of the delta waves (i.e., the fourth predetermined frequency difference) is in the range between 2 and 4 Hz, the delta waves usually occur during deep sleep (non-REM sleep or deep non-REM sleep), and the fourth colored light is selected from a group consisting of red light, blue light, and green light in different ratios, with the ratio of blue light being higher than that of the third colored light.

[0035] Specifically, according to an embodiment of the present invention, the control method of the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 gradually changes the physiological state of the user, for example, to a deep sleep state or a concentration state. The control method is also a method for controlling the operation of the audio unit and the light-emitting unit 112 by step-type feedback. The control method includes the following steps: Step 1: Measure the change in the user's blood flow by the infrared sensing unit 130, estimate the user's heart rate, and transmit the heart rate to a calculation module. Step 2: When the calculation module receives the heart rate, the calculation module estimates the user's heart rate variability. Step 3: The control module controls the light-emitting unit 112 and the audio unit by step-type feedback based on the user's heart rate variability to achieve a predetermined frequency difference. Step 4: The infrared sensing unit 130 detects the user's heart rate, and transmits the heart rate to the calculation module. Step 5: When the calculation module receives the heart rate, the calculation module estimates the user's heart rate variability. Step 6: Return to step 3 if the user's heart rate variability has not reached the predetermined state. The predetermined frequency difference is a combination of a frequency difference between the flash frequencies of each of the light emitting units and a combination of a frequency difference between each of the sound units.

[0036] According to another embodiment of the present invention, the calculation module estimates the state of the user's Autonomic Nervous System (ANS) based on Heart Rate Variability (HRV). By evaluating the activity of the sympathetic or parasympathetic nerves using parameters calculated from the HRV, it is possible to know whether the user's body is tense or relaxed. The sympathetic nervous system is usually activated in stressful or critical situations. When the sympathetic nervous system is activated, a series of physiological changes occur, such as faster heart rate, faster and deeper breathing, muscle tension, dilated pupils, increased blood pressure, and the release of stored energy, to respond to danger or stress. The parasympathetic nervous system is usually activated when the body is relaxed and at rest. When the parasympathetic nervous system is activated, a series of physiological changes occur, such as slower heart rate, lower blood pressure, improved digestion, increased saliva secretion, muscle relaxation, slower breathing rate, physical rest, and physical repair. Thus, the infrared sensing unit 130 adjusts the sound and flash frequency based on sympathetic or parasympathetic arousal to bring the user into a required state.

[0037] The contents of Table 1 will be described below with examples. For example, when the user uses the button 116 to select mode 4 (deep sleep mode), the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 adjusts the user's brainwaves to be close to or equal to delta waves by a predetermined frequency difference between the light flash frequency and the audio frequency, thereby achieving the effect of making the user sleep deeply. The audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 gradually adjusts the predetermined frequency difference between the light flash frequency and the audio frequency from alpha waves to delta waves will be further described. If the parameters calculated from the user's heart rate variability indicate that the user's parasympathetic nerves are excited and the energy intensity when the brainwave frequency is between 12-28Hz is higher than other brainwave frequency bands, the light frequency and audio frequency will be modified to the predetermined frequency difference of 8-12Hz (i.e., alpha waves), and the light emitting unit 112 will emit a first color light to make the user relax. If the parameter calculated from the user's heart rate variability indicates that the user's parasympathetic nerves are excited and the energy intensity when the brainwave frequency is between 8-12Hz is higher than other brainwave frequency bands, the frequency of the light beam and the sound frequency are modified to 4-8Hz (i.e., θ waves) with a predetermined frequency difference, and the light-emitting unit 112 emits a third color light beam to put the user into a light sleep state. Next, if the parameter calculated from the user's heart rate variability indicates that the user's parasympathetic nerves are excited and the energy intensity when the brainwave frequency is between 4-8Hz is higher than other brainwave frequency bands, the frequency of the light beam and the sound frequency are modified to 2-4Hz (i.e., δ waves) with a predetermined frequency difference, and the light-emitting unit 112 emits a fourth color light beam to put the user into a deep sleep state. Finally, if the parameters calculated from the user's heart rate variability indicate that the user's parasympathetic nerves are excited and the frequency of the brainwaves is between 2-4Hz, the frequency of the light and the sound frequency are maintained at a predetermined frequency difference of 2-4Hz (i.e., δ waves), and the light emitting unit 112 emits the fourth color light to keep the user in deep sleep, but the present invention is not limited thereto.

[0038] In addition, when the user selects mode 2 (nap mode) using button 116, the audiovisual sleep aid eye mask 100 adjusts the user's brainwaves from alpha waves to theta waves and back to alpha waves again by using a predetermined frequency difference between the light flash frequency and the sound frequency during the above process. In addition, the air injection unit 114 fills air 10 minutes before the end of the nap mode, relaxes the user through air pressure, and puts the user into a light sleep state before stopping. When there are 5 minutes left in the nap mode, the air injection unit 114 fills air to wake the user up through air pressure.

[0039] FIG. 7 is a schematic diagram illustrating an example of a flow chart of a method for controlling an audiovisual sleep aid eye mask according to an embodiment of the present invention.

[0040] In step 200, the infrared sensing unit 130 measures changes in the user's blood flow to estimate the user's heart rate and transmits the user's heart rate to the calculation module.

[0041] In step 210, the computation module estimates the user's heart rate variability based on the user's heart rate.

[0042] In step 220, the control module controls the light emitting unit 112 and the sound unit to have a predetermined frequency difference based on the user's heart rate variability.

[0043] In step 230, the infrared sensing unit 130 measures changes in the user's blood flow to estimate the user's heart rate and transmits the user's heart rate to the calculation module.

[0044] In step 240, the computation module estimates the user's heart rate variability based on the user's heart rate.

[0045] In step 250, based on whether the user's heart rate variability has reached the predetermined frequency difference, if so, proceed to step 260, otherwise proceed to step 220.

[0046] In step 250, the control module ends the control method.

[0047] In summary, the present invention uses the infrared sensing unit 130 to detect different states of the user, and then feedbacks the control module to adjust the corresponding light emission and sound playback functions, and uses the difference in sound frequency and the flashing frequency of different colors of light to help the user sleep, relax, concentrate, etc. It also has a massage function.

[0048] For the avoidance of doubt, the terms "comprising," "including," and other variations herein mean a non-exclusive inclusion, meaning that a process, method, product, or equipment of a set of elements not only includes those elements, but also includes other elements not expressly listed, or includes the inherent elements of the process, method, product, or equipment. In the absence of further limitations, the phrase "comprising a..." is delimited by elements and does not exclude the presence of other identical elements in the process, method, product, or equipment of the set of elements.

[0049] The above description is for the purpose of explaining the present invention, and should not be interpreted as limiting the invention described in the claims or restricting the scope of the invention. Furthermore, the configuration of each part of the present invention is not limited to the above embodiment, and various modifications are possible within the technical scope described in the claims.
