Abstract

To provide an electronic currency infrastructure allowed to realize a safe circulation of currency without greatly spending a resource such as a network.SOLUTION: A method, to be executed by a computer for realizing an electronic currency infrastructure, includes the steps of: generating an electronic file given with a pre-defined property value; adding to the electronic file, first signature data generated using a secret key of a central bank; adding to the electronic file, after an addition of the first signature data, second signature data generated using a secret key of a first entity, in order to transfer the electronic file from the first entity to a second entity; recording at least part of a content of the electronic file in a registry; and determining a presence / absence of illicit transfer of the electronic file, based on a content recorded at least in the registry.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

Claims

1. 1. A computer-implemented method for implementing an electronic currency infrastructure, comprising: generating an electronic file having a predetermined property value; adding a first signature data generated using a private key of a central bank to the electronic file; after the first signature data has been added, adding second signature data to the electronic file, the second signature data being generated using a private key of the first entity, for transferring the electronic file from the first entity to a second entity; recording at least a portion of the contents of the electronic file in a ledger; and determining whether or not the electronic file has been fraudulently transferred based at least on the contents recorded in the ledger.

2. 2. The method of claim 1, wherein determining whether there has been an unauthorized transfer of the electronic file comprises determining whether there are records associated with the electronic file of transfers of the electronic file from the first entity to a plurality of entities, respectively.

3. 3. The method of claim 1 or 2, further comprising a step of deleting the electronic file stored by the first entity when, after transmitting the electronic file from the first entity to the second entity, the first entity receives the electronic file from the second entity to which third signature data generated using the private key of the second entity has been added.

4. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 3, further comprising a step in which the second entity verifies the second signature data included in the electronic file using a public key of the first entity.

5. The electronic file includes an expiration date setting, 5. The method according to claim 1, further comprising the step of at least one of the first entity and the second entity verifying that the electronic file has not expired before transferring the electronic file from the first entity to the second entity.

6. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 5, further comprising a step, executed after the second entity receives the electronic file from the first entity, of comparing the contents of the electronic file with the contents recorded in the ledger.

7. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 6, further comprising the step of the central bank retrieving the electronic file if the electronic file has expired.

8. A system for implementing an electronic currency infrastructure, comprising: means for generating an electronic file having a predetermined property value; means for appending to said electronic file first signature data generated using a private key of a central bank; means for appending second signature data to the electronic file, the second signature data being generated using a private key of the first entity, for transferring the electronic file from the first entity to a second entity after the first signature data has been appended; a ledger for recording at least a portion of the contents of the electronic file; and a means for determining whether or not the electronic file has been illegally transferred based on at least the contents recorded in the ledger.
