Embodiments for Carrying Out the Invention
[0009] Hereinafter, embodiments of the holding structure of the lid member according to the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings. Note that, as an example of an electronic device to which the present invention is applied, a scientific calculator will be described. However, the electronic device is not limited to a scientific calculator, and can be applied to any electronic device (for example, an electronic dictionary, a tablet terminal, etc.) as long as it is an electronic device including a lid member 20 that closes the opening 11 of the housing 10 described later.
[0010] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the scientific calculator 1 includes a housing 10 and a lid member (lid body) 20. The housing 10 is provided with an opening 11 that opens at the back and houses (loads) four dry batteries (not shown) or a dry battery type secondary battery (not shown) (see FIGS. 5 and 8).
[0011] The opening 11 is formed in a circular shape whose mouth corresponds to the outer shape (circular shape) of the lid member 20 (see FIG. 3), and is covered by attaching the lid member 20.
[0012] As shown in FIGS. 1 and 5, at a predetermined position of the opening 11 (a position corresponding to a hook 22 (described later) of the lid member 20), an engaged portion (engaged region) 12 for engaging the hook 22 when the lid member 20 is attached is provided.
[0013] The engaged portion 12 is formed in a eaves shape that projects while sloping downward from the peripheral edge of the opening 11 toward the center of the opening 11. As shown in FIG. 7, the engaged portion 12 has an engaged surface 121 that engages with an engaging surface 222c1 of each rib 222c (described later) provided on the hook 22. Further, the engaged portion 12 has an inclined surface (first surface) 122 adjacent to the engaged surface 121. When the engaging surface 222c1 of each rib 222c (described later) engages with the engaged surface 121, that is, when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10, the inclined surface 122 faces the inclined surface (second surface) 222c2 of each rib 222c and is formed so as to be separated from the inclined surface 222c2 by a predetermined distance. This predetermined distance is set to a distance that can prevent rattling caused by an impact being applied to the lid member 20 or the housing 10. Thereby, when an impact is applied to the lid member 20 or the housing 10, the rattling caused by the impact can be preferably prevented.
[0014] Also, at a predetermined position of the opening 11 (a position corresponding to a locking piece 23 (described later) of the lid member 20), a locking hole (not shown) for locking (inserting) the locking piece 23 when the lid member 20 is attached is provided.
[0015] As shown in FIG. 3, the lid member 20 includes a lid main body portion 21, a hook (elastic member) 22, and a locking piece 23.
[0016] The lid main body portion 21 is a portion that closes the opening 11 of the housing 10 and is formed in a circular shape (disc shape) corresponding to the opening 11 having a circular width. A portion of the lid main body portion 21 corresponding to the engaged portion 12 provided on the housing 10 is cut out, and the hook 22 is provided at the inner end 21a of the portion.
[0017] The hook 22 is a hook that engages the housing 10 and the lid member 20. Specifically, as shown in FIGS. 3 and 6(a), the hook 22 includes a base portion (second region) 221 protruding from the back surface side of the above-described end portion 21a of the lid main body portion 21, an operation portion (first region) 222 disposed opposite to the base portion 221, and a connecting portion 223 that connects the base portion 221 and the operation portion 222 to each other. The hook 22 is a leaf spring-shaped hook. Here, when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10, the hook 22 is in a state of being biased toward the engaged portion 12. Note that the hook 22 only needs to be biased toward the engaged portion 12 when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10, and is not limited to a leaf spring shape, and may be a hook using other biasing means such as a coil spring or rubber.
[0018] The operation portion 222 is provided with a finger placing portion (finger placing region) 222a that is operated in a direction (from top to bottom in FIG. 1) to loosen the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 when removing the lid member 20 from the housing 10.
[0019] The finger placing portion 222a is formed in a hook shape at the free end side opposite to the one end side connected to the connecting portion 223 of the operation portion 222. As shown in FIG. 3, the finger placing portion 222a is formed in a curved shape that is recessed in a direction (from top to bottom in FIG. 1) to loosen the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20. That is, the finger placing portion 222a is formed in a shape that is recessed in a direction opposite to the arc-shaped recess at the location corresponding to the finger placing portion 222a of the opening portion 11 (the location where the engaged portion 12 is provided). Further, the finger placing portion 222a is formed so as not to protrude from the outer surface of the housing 10, that is, not to bulge, when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10. Further, as shown in FIG. 6(a), the finger placing portion 222a has a corner portion C1 bent in a hook shape formed in an R shape (as if the corner is rounded).
[0020] Further, the operation unit 222 is provided with an engaging portion (engaging region) 222b between one end side connected to the connecting portion 223 and the other end side provided with the pointing portion 222a. The engaging portion 222b is a portion that engages with the engaged portion 12 provided on the housing 10. As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6(a), the upper surface of the engaging portion 222b is formed to be downwardly inclined toward the engaged portion 12 side. Further, ribs 222c, 222c are provided on the upper surface of the engaging portion 222b.
[0021] As shown in FIG. 4, two ribs 222c are provided at a predetermined interval in the width direction of the engaging portion 222b. As shown in FIGS. 4 and 7, each rib 222c has an engaging surface 222c1 and an inclined surface 222c2 adjacent to the lower end of the engaging surface 222c1.
[0022] As shown in FIG. 7, the engaging surface 222c1 is a surface that engages with the engaged surface 121 of the engaged portion 12 provided on the housing 10. When the engaging surface 222c1 engages with the engaged surface 121, that is, when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10, the operation unit 222 is in a state of being pushed toward the base portion 221 by the engaged portion 12. That is, when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10, the operation unit 222 (hook 22) is in a state of being biased toward the engaged portion 12 side. Here, when the engaging surface 222c1 of the rib 222c engages with the engaged surface 121 of the engaged portion 12, it prevents rattling and functions as a positioning rib in the height direction (thickness direction of the housing 10) of the lid member 20.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 7, the inclined surface 222c2 is downwardly inclined toward the engaged portion 12 side. The inclined surface 222c2 faces the inclined surface 122 of the engaged portion 12 and is formed to be separated from the inclined surface 122 by a predetermined distance when the engaging surface 222c1 engages with the engaged surface 121, that is, when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10.
[0024] The connecting portion 223 is a portion that connects the base portion 221 and the operating portion 222 to each other as described above. The connecting portion 223 has a U shape in a side view as shown in FIG. 6(a). Therefore, the operating portion 222 including the engaging portion 222b described above is rotatable in a direction away from the engaged portion 12 (a direction approaching the base portion 221) or a direction approaching the engaged portion 12 (a direction away from the base portion 221) with the center of the lowermost end position of the connecting portion 223 (the width direction of the connecting portion 223 as the axis). In the present embodiment, the hook 22 is formed in a curved shape that is recessed in a direction to loosen the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 for any of the base portion 221, the operating portion 222, the engaging portion 222b, and the connecting portion 223 in correspondence with the curved shape of the finger placing portion 222a (see FIG. 3). For this reason, when the finger placing portion 222a is moved in a direction to loosen the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 when removing the lid member 20 from the housing 10, stress is likely to concentrate on both ends in the width direction of the connecting portion 223. Therefore, as shown in FIG. 4, chamfered portions 223a are provided at both ends in the width direction of the connecting portion 223, that is, chamfering is performed at both ends. Thereby, the concentration of stress applied to both ends in the width direction of the connecting portion 223 is reduced.
[0025] The base portion 221 protrudes from the back side of the innermost end portion 21a of the lid main body portion 21 as described above. As shown in FIGS. 5 and 6(a), the base portion 221 is provided with a chamfered portion 221a at an L-shaped corner portion C2 formed by the base portion 221 and the lid main body portion 21. This chamfered portion 221a is provided at an angle (relief angle) corresponding to the inclination angle of the operation portion 222 when the corner portion C1 of the finger hook portion 222a abuts at a position where the finger hook portion 222a abuts when the finger hook portion 222a is operated in a direction to loosen the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20. In other words, in a region (corner portion C2) facing the corner portion C1 of the finger hook portion 222a (operation portion 222) of the base portion 221, as a result of moving the finger hook portion 222a in a direction in which the operation portion 222 and the base portion 221 approach each other, a shape (relief shape; chamfered portion 221a) with an angle when the operation portion 222 and the base portion 221 come into contact (abut) is formed as a relief angle. FIG. 6(b) shows a state in which the finger hook portion 222a is moved in a direction in which the operation portion 222 and the base portion 221 approach each other from FIG. 6(a), and the chamfered portion 221a corresponds to the position and angle (tilt angle) at which the operation portion 221 abuts. In the present embodiment, since the corner portion C1 of the finger hook portion 222a is formed in an R shape and the base portion 221 is provided with the chamfered portion 221a, even when it is difficult to secure a moving distance, the stroke amount (moving amount) of the finger hook portion 222a can be increased. As a result, when the finger hook portion 222a is operated in a direction to loosen the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20, the engagement can be reliably released. Note that the R shape may be formed at the corner portion C2, and in that case, the chamfered portion 221a may be provided on the operation portion 222 side.
[0026] The locking piece 23 engages with a locking hole (not shown) provided in the opening 11 by being inserted therein. The locking pieces 23 are provided at two locations on the peripheral edge of the lid main body portion 21. Specifically, the locking pieces 23, 23 are provided at the respective vertex positions of an isosceles triangle having the above-described hook 22 as a vertex and are provided on the peripheral edge of the lid main body portion 21.
[0027] The lid member 20 is configured to be supported by the above-described hooks 22 and the two locking pieces 23, 23. The hooks 22 and the locking pieces 23, 23 are both integrally formed with the lid main body 21.
[0028] In the above-described structure, a dry battery or a dry battery type secondary battery is stored at a predetermined position of the opening 11, the locking pieces 23, 23 of the lid member 20 are inserted into locking holes (not shown) of the opening 11, and when the lid member 20 is pressed from above in the state shown in FIG. 8, the lid main body 21 of the lid member 20 fits into the opening 11, the hook 22 of the lid member 20 bends inward and engages with the engaged portion 12, and the lid member 20 is fixed to the housing 10 (see FIG. 5). On the other hand, in this state, when the finger-touching portion 222a of the hook 22 is operated in the direction of loosening the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 (toward the base portion 221), the engagement between the hook 22 and the engaged portion 12 is released, and the opening 11 is opened (see FIG. 8). At this time, since the inclined surfaces 222c2 are provided on the respective ribs 222c (see FIG. 7), the corner formed by the engaged surface 121 of the engaged portion 12 and the inclined surface 122 does not interfere (contact) with the engaging portion 222b (hook 22). For this reason, the operation of releasing the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 can be performed smoothly.
[0029] As described above, the scientific calculator 1 of the present embodiment includes an engaged portion 12 provided on the housing 10 and an engaging portion 222b provided on the lid member 20 and biased toward the engaged portion 12 side when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10. The engaging portion 222b has an engaging surface 222c1 that engages with the engaged surface 121 of the engaged portion 12 when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10, and an inclined surface (second surface) 222c2 that faces the inclined surface (first surface) 122 of the engaged portion 12 and is disposed at a predetermined distance from the inclined surface 122 when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10. The predetermined distance is set so that the inclined surface 122 of the engaged portion 12 and the inclined surface 222c2 of the engaging portion 222b do not interfere when the engaging portion 222b is moved in a direction away from the engaged portion 12 and the lid member 20 is removed from the housing 10.
[0030] Therefore, according to the scientific calculator 1, when the lid member 20 is removed from the housing 10, the above-mentioned predetermined distance is set so that the inclined surface 122 of the engaged portion 12 and the inclined surface 222c2 of the engaging portion 222b do not interfere with each other. Thus, the operation of releasing the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 can be smoothly performed. As a result, the operability related to the release of the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 can be improved.
[0031] Further, the engaging portion 222b of the lid member 20 is rotatable about a predetermined axis. When the engaging portion 222b of the lid member 20 attached to the housing 10 is rotated in a direction away from the engaged portion 12 about the predetermined axis and the lid member 20 is removed from the housing 10, the above-mentioned predetermined distance is set so that the inclined surface (first surface) 122 of the engaged portion 12 and the inclined surface (second surface) 222c2 of the engaging portion 222b do not interfere with each other. Therefore, according to the scientific calculator 1, when the lid member 20 is removed from the housing 10, the above-mentioned predetermined distance is set so that the inclined surface 122 of the engaged portion 12 and the inclined surface 222c2 of the engaging portion 222b do not interfere with each other. Thus, the operation of releasing the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 can be smoothly performed. As a result, the operability related to the release of the engagement between the housing 10 and the lid member 20 can be improved.
[0032] In addition, the inclined surface (first surface) 122 of the engaged portion 12 of the housing 10 is inclined so as to be lower from the engaging surface 222c1 of the lid member 20 toward the engaged surface 121 side of the housing 10 in a state where the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10. Further, the inclined surface (second surface) 222c2 of the engaging portion 222b of the lid member 20 is inclined so as to be lower from the engaging surface 222c1 of the lid member 20 toward the engaged surface 121 side of the housing 10 in a state where the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10. That is, the inclined surface (first surface) 122 of the engaged portion 12 and the inclined surface (second surface) 222c2 of the engaging portion 222b are each inclined at a predetermined angle with respect to the thickness direction of the housing 10. Therefore, according to the scientific calculator 1, when the lid member 20 is removed from the housing 10, interference between the inclined surface 122 of the engaged portion 12 and the inclined surface 222c2 of the engaging portion 222b can be suitably prevented.
[0033] Further, the inclined surface 222c2 of the engaging portion 222b is disposed at a location separated by a predetermined distance from the inclined surface (first surface) 122 of the engaged portion 12 when the lid member 20 is attached to the housing 10, and this predetermined distance is set to a distance capable of preventing rattling caused by an impact being applied to the lid member 20 or the housing 10. Therefore, according to the scientific calculator 1, when an impact is applied to the lid member 20 or the housing 10, rattling caused by the impact can be suitably prevented.
[0034] In addition, the engaging portion 222b of the lid member 20 is formed in a curved shape recessed in a direction to loosen the engagement between the lid member 2 and the housing 10, and the engaged portion 12 of the housing 10 is formed in a convex curved shape corresponding to the curved shape of the engaging portion 222b. Therefore, the engagement state between the lid member 2 and the housing 10 can be kept good.
[0035] As described above, the present invention has been specifically described based on the embodiments, but the present invention is not limited to the above embodiments and can be modified without departing from the gist thereof. For example, in the above embodiment, the opening 11 of the housing 10 is formed in a circular shape, but the shape of the opening 11 is not limited to a circular shape. The shape of the opening 11 may be, for example, a rectangle, an ellipse, or the like. When the shape of the opening 11 is a rectangle, the lid main body portion 21 has a shape corresponding to the opening 11 formed in the rectangle.
[0036] In addition, in the above embodiment, the corner C1 of the pointing portion 222a is formed in an R shape and the chamfered portion 221a is provided on the base portion 221. However, for example, if the corner C1 of the pointing portion 222a is formed in an R shape, the chamfered portion 221a may not be provided on the base portion 221. Further, if the chamfered portion 221a is provided on the base portion 221, the corner C1 of the pointing portion 222a may not be formed in an R shape.
[0037] In the above embodiment, the locking piece 23 of the lid member 20 is configured to lock into a locking hole (not shown) provided at a predetermined position of the opening 11. However, for example, the lid member 20 and the housing 10 may be coupled via a hinge that enables the opening and closing operation of the opening 11. In this case, the lid member 20 will not be completely detached from the housing 10.
[0038] Also, in the above embodiment, the shape of the curved surface of the inclined surface 222c2 and the shape of the movement locus of the inclined surface 222c2 when the engaging portion 222b of the lid member 10 is rotated may be made to coincide. By doing this, while preventing the lid member 20 from being removed from the housing 20 due to the lid member 20 moving upward when an impact is applied to the lid member 20 or the housing 10, the engagement between the housing 20 and the lid member 10 can be appropriately released.
[0039] Also, regarding the detailed configuration of each component of the scientific calculator 1 in the above embodiment, it goes without saying that it can be appropriately changed within a range not departing from the gist of the present invention.
