Summary of the Invention
Problems to be Solved by the Invention
[0004] However, a structure in which the attachment members are adhered to each other or fixed using a hook-and-loop fastener has a structure in which members for fixing (such as an adhesive and a hook-and-loop fastener) are provided separately, which not only increases the cost but also takes time and effort in manufacturing. For example, when trying to fix the attachment members to each other with an adhesive, it may take time and effort, such as having to fix them with something until they are completely adhered under a situation where a tension to separate from each other acts.
[0005] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to provide a fixing structure for a trim cover of a seat cushion that simplifies the structure for fixing members for attachment when attaching the trim cover to the seat cushion, and thus can contribute to cost reduction, and a vehicle seat equipped with the same.
Means for Solving the Problems
[0006] One aspect of the present invention is a fixing structure for a trim cover in a vehicle seat, comprising: a strip-shaped member protruding from the trim cover; an engaging portion provided at a portion of the trim cover different from the strip-shaped member; an insertion portion provided at one of the end of the strip-shaped member and the engaging portion; an insertion opening provided at the other of the end of the strip-shaped member and the engaging portion, into which the insertion portion can be inserted and which maintains the state where the insertion portion is inserted; and is a fixing structure for a trim cover in a vehicle seat, in which the vehicle seat is covered with the trim cover and fixed.
[0007] According to the fixing structure as described above, the strip-shaped member and the engaging portion can be fixed by simply inserting and engaging the insertion portion of the strip-shaped member into the insertion opening of the engaging portion. Such a structure simplifies the operation by omitting the labor of adhering the strip-shaped member and the engaging portion, and also enables omission of separate members (such as adhesives and hook-and-loop fasteners) for fixing the strip-shaped member and the engaging portion. Omitting separate members can contribute to cost reduction and also lead to simplification of the structure.
[0008] In the fixing structure for a trim cover in a vehicle seat as described above, the insertion portion may be formed in a shape protruding in the width direction of the strip-shaped member or the engaging portion.
[0009] In the fixing structure for a trim cover in a vehicle seat as described above, the insertion portion may be substantially rectangular.
[0010] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, the insertion portion may include at least a portion where it is folded back and overlapped.
[0011] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, the insertion portion may include a rigid member that increases the rigidity of the insertion portion.
[0012] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, the rigid member may be any one of a sewing thread, a welding material, an adhesive, and a non-woven fabric.
[0013] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, at least a part of the belt-like member may be formed in a tapered shape that becomes narrower as it moves away from the insertion portion.
[0014] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, at least a part of the belt-like member may be formed in a tapered shape that becomes wider as it moves away from the insertion portion.
[0015] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, the insertion opening may be slit-shaped.
[0016] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, the insertion opening may be formed so as to extend along the longitudinal direction of the belt-like member in a state where the insertion portion is inserted into the insertion opening.
[0017] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, a dimple portion may be provided at at least one end of the insertion opening.
[0018] In the trim cover fixing structure for a vehicle seat as described above, the insertion opening of the engaging portion may be substantially circular or elliptical.
[0019] In the fixing structure of the trim cover in the vehicle seat as described above, the insertion port of the engaging portion may be substantially rectangular.
[0020] In the fixing structure of the trim cover in the vehicle seat as described above, the periphery of the insertion port may be reinforced by sewing.
[0021] Another aspect of the present invention is a vehicle seat having the fixing structure as described above.
[0022] In the vehicle seat as described above, the fixing structure may be applied to the seat cushion.
Effect of the Invention
[0023] According to the present invention, when attaching the trim cover to the seat cushion, it is possible to provide a fixing structure for the trim cover of the seat cushion that simplifies the structure for fixing the mounting members to each other, and thus can contribute to cost reduction, and a vehicle seat having the same.

Mode for Carrying Out the Invention
[0025] A preferred embodiment of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings (see FIGS. 1 to 10).
[0026] <Vehicle Seat> The vehicle seat 100 is a seat installed in a vehicle such as an automobile, for example, and includes a seat cushion 120 that supports the buttocks and thighs of the seated occupant, a seat back 130 that supports the waist and back of the occupant, and a headrest 140 that supports the head of the occupant (see FIG. 1). The seat cushion 120 and the seat back 130 incorporate a seat frame (not shown) that forms the skeleton of the seat cushion 120 or the seat back 130. These seat frames are covered with a seat pad 104 made of a relatively soft resin foam material such as urethane foam, and further covered with a trim cover 110 made of a skin material such as leather, woven fabric, or non-woven fabric.
[0027] <Fixing Structure 10 of Trim Cover 110> The fixing structure 10 of the trim cover 110 in the vehicle seat 100 according to the present invention is a structure for fixing the trim cover 110 to the vehicle seat 100. Hereinafter, the fixing structure 10 of the trim cover 110 in the seat cushion 120 will be illustrated and described, but it goes without saying that this can also be applied as the fixing structure 10 of the trim cover 110 in the seat back 130.
[0028] The fixing structure 10 of the trim cover 110 of the present embodiment is configured as a structure for covering and fixing the trim cover 110 on the seat cushion 120 of the vehicle seat 100 by means of a belt-like member 20, an insertion portion 22, an engaging portion 30, an insertion opening 32, etc. (see FIGS. 2 to 10).
[0029] <Belt-like member> The belt-like member 20 is a member provided so as to protrude and extend from a part of the trim cover 110. Further, the engaging portion 30 is a member provided at a part of the trim cover 110 and separate from the belt-like member 20. These belt-like member 20 and engaging portion 30 are provided so that the trim cover 110 can be fixed to a predetermined position of the seat cushion 120 by engaging a part of the belt-like member 20, for example, an end portion 21, with the engaging portion 30. As long as they are provided in this way, the number and arrangement of these belt-like member 20 and engaging portion 30 are not particularly limited, and the same number and arrangement as those in the conventional structure may be used. In the present embodiment, an example in which each of the belt-like members 20 bifurcated in the middle engages with each of the two adjacent engaging portions 30 (see FIGS. 2 to 4) and an example in which the belt-like member 20 and the engaging portion 30 are provided near the corner (corner portion) of the seat cushion 120 (see FIGS. 2 and 5) are shown.
[0030] The shape of the belt-like member 20 and the like are not particularly limited. For example, the belt-like member 20 may be formed in a straight shape with a constant width (see FIG. 9(A)), may be formed in a tapered shape (hem-tightening shape) that becomes narrower as it separates from the insertion portion 22 (see FIG. 9(B)), or at least a part of the belt-like member 20 may be formed in a tapered shape (hem-expanding shape) that becomes wider as it separates from the insertion portion 22 (see FIG. 9(C)).
[0031] <Insertion portion> The insertion part 22 is a part that is inserted into the insertion port 32 of the engagement part 30, and is provided at the end 21 of the belt-like member 20 (see Fig. 4). The insertion port 32 provided in the engagement part 30 is configured to allow the insertion part 22 to be inserted and to maintain the state in which the insertion part 22 is inserted. In the present embodiment, for these insertion part 22 and insertion port 32, the structure for fixing the members to each other is simplified, and it is also possible to contribute to cost reduction. Hereinafter, it will be described with specific examples (see Figs. 6 to 10, etc.).
[0032] The insertion part 22 is formed in a shape protruding in the width direction of the belt-like member 20 or the engagement part 30 (see Figs. 8 and 9). By forming the insertion part 22 in a T-shape so to speak, it becomes possible to engage the insertion part 22 after being inserted into the insertion port 32 so as not to come out of the insertion port 32 (see Figs. 3 and 5, etc.). However, the specific shape of the insertion part 22 is not particularly limited. The insertion part 22 may have, for example, an inclined part 22s such that the length (height) along the longitudinal direction of the belt-like member 20 gradually decreases as it separates from the belt-like member 20 along the width direction of the belt-like member 20 (see Figs. 8 and 9), or may be substantially rectangular.
[0033] Further, the insertion portion 22 may be configured such that at least a part thereof is thickened. Since the insertion portion 22 having a thick portion is less likely to come out of the insertion opening 32, even with a simple structure, it becomes easier to maintain the state in which the belt-like member 20 and the engaging portion 30 are firmly engaged. As such a structure, for example, a part of the insertion portion 22 is folded back and sewn with a sewing thread (or suture) 26 to be configured to include an overlapping portion while imparting rigidity (see Fig. 8(A)), a welding process (a process of fixing a welding material 24 such as molten solder as a rigid material) is performed on at least a part of the insertion portion 22 to impart rigidity (see Fig. 8(B)), a part of the insertion portion 22 is folded back and configured to include an overlapping portion in a state of being adhered with an adhesive 27 (see Fig. 8(C)), a rigid material such as a non-woven fabric (felt material) 28 is sewn with a sewing thread 26 to be fixed to the insertion portion 22, or a part of the insertion portion 22 is folded back and the non-woven fabric 28 or the like is sandwiched and sewn to be fixed (see Fig. 8(D)). Any of the exemplified structures can surely engage the members while being a relatively simple and simplified configuration.
[0034] <Insertion opening> The insertion opening 32 is provided in the engaging portion 30 so that the insertion portion 22 can be inserted and the state in which the insertion portion 22 is inserted can be maintained. As long as it is provided in this way, the specific shape and structure of the insertion opening 32 are not particularly limited. By way of example, the insertion opening 32 may be in the form of a narrow slit (see Fig. 10(A)) or may be in the form of a slit like an ellipse (see Fig. 10(B)). At least one end (for example, one end on the side where the belt-like member 20 is located) or both ends of the slit-shaped insertion opening 32 may be provided with a dimple portion 34 so as to suppress the cutting or tearing of the end portion (see Figs. 10(C) and 10(D)). Although all of the insertion openings 32 exemplified here are formed so as to extend along the longitudinal direction of the belt-like member 20 in a state where the insertion portion 22 is inserted into the insertion opening 32 (see Figs. 10(A) to 10(D)), although not particularly shown, the insertion opening 32 may be formed so as to extend in a direction different from this (for example, the width direction of the belt-like member 20).
[0035] For still other examples, the insertion port 32 of the engaging portion 30 may be substantially circular or elliptical (see FIGS. 10(E) and (G)), or may be substantially rectangular (for example, substantially square or rectangular) (see FIGS. 10(H) and (I)). Also, although not particularly shown, the periphery of these insertion ports 32 may be reinforced by sewing to prevent cuts and tears.
[0036] According to the fixing structure 10 of the trim cover 100 as described above, the belt-like member 20 and the engaging portion 30 can be fixed by simply inserting and engaging the insertion portion 22 of the belt-like member 20 into the insertion port 32 of the engaging portion 30. At this time, the insertion portion 22 may be inserted from the front side of the engaging portion 30 (see FIG. 7), or conversely, the insertion portion 22 may be inserted from the back side of the engaging portion 30 (see FIG. 6). Also, as described so far, the fixing structure 10 of the present embodiment simplifies the work by omitting the labor of adhering the belt-like member 20 and the engaging portion 30, and enables omission of separate members (such as adhesives and hook-and-loop fasteners) for fixing the belt-like member 20 and the engaging portion 30. By omitting such separate members in this way, the cost is reduced accordingly, and furthermore, the structure is simplified.
[0037] Note that the above-described embodiment is a preferred example of the present invention, but is not limited thereto, and various modifications can be made without departing from the gist of the present invention. For example, in the above-described embodiment, the form in which the insertion portion 22 is provided at the end portion 21 of the belt-like member 20 and the insertion port 32 is provided at the engaging portion 30 has been described, but this is merely a preferred example. Although not particularly shown, conversely, a form in which an insertion port is provided at the end portion 21 of the belt-like member 20 and an insertion portion is provided at the engaging portion 30 may also be adopted.
