Claims

1. A cushioning material for packaging a washing machine including a housing having a laundry inlet on an upper surface and a lid disposed above the housing and pivotally supported at a rear end so as to be openable and closable from a front end, the cushioning material being included in the packaging for packaging the upper part of the housing and the lid, a first buffer portion provided to cover a first corner portion of the upper surface of the housing located on a front end side of the lid; a second buffer portion provided continuously upward from the first buffer portion; a third buffer portion provided to cover a second corner portion of the upper surface of the housing located on the pivot support side of the lid; a fourth buffer section connecting the second buffer section and the third buffer section; a fifth buffer portion provided continuously from the first buffer portion in a rear direction, a buffer material capable of fixing the lid between the fourth buffer portion and the fifth buffer portion when the lid is open;
