Claims
1. A dressing (100) comprising a backing layer (101), an adhesive skin contact layer (102), and a first release liner (103), wherein the adhesive skin contact layer (102) comprises a central portion (102a) and an edge portion (102b) surrounding the central portion (102a), and the first release liner (103) is configured to be releasably attached to at least the central portion (102a) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102). The dressing (100) is characterized in that it includes a second release liner (104) disposed between the first release liner (103) and at least a portion of the edge portion (102b) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102).
2. 2. The dressing (100) of claim 1, wherein the second release liner (104) is positioned to follow the contour of at least 70%, preferably at least 80%, of the edge portion (102b) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102).
3. The dressing (100) according to claim 1 or 2, wherein said edge portion (102b) constitutes 0.3 to 30%, preferably 0.4 to 15%, of the surface area of said adhesive skin contact layer (102).

The dressing (100) of claim 1, wherein the second release liner (104) includes a first tab (105), the first tab (105) being formed to extend beyond the periphery of the adhesive skin contact layer (102) and being positioned on a first edge (106) of the edge portion (102b) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102).

The dressing (100) of claim 4, wherein the second release liner (104) includes a second tab (107), the second tab (107) being formed to extend beyond the periphery of the adhesive skin contact layer (102) and being positioned on a second edge (108) of the edge portion (102b) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102) opposite the first edge (106).

The dressing (100) of claim 4 or 5, wherein the first release liner (103) includes at least one gripping tab (111), the gripping tab (111) being configured to overlap the first tab (105) and / or the second tab (107) of the second release liner (104) so as to extend beyond the periphery of the adhesive skin contact layer (102).
7. 7. The covering (100) of any one of claims 4 to 6, wherein the gripping tab (111) and the first tab (105) or the second tab (107) have different surface structures.
8. 8. The dressing (100) of claim 7, wherein the gripping tab (111), the first tab (105), or the second tab (107) is embossed.
9. The dressing (100) of any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the second release liner (104) comprises at least a first removable portion (104a) and a second removable portion (104b).
10. 10. The dressing (100) of claim 9, wherein the at least first and second removable portions (104a, 104b) of the second release liner (104) are formed to extend between the first and second tabs (105, 107) of the second release liner (104).
11. 11. The dressing (100) of claim 10, wherein each of the first tab (105) and the second tab (107) is divided into two tab pieces (105a, 105b, 107a, 107b), each tab piece (105a, 105b, 107a, 107b) forming a distal end portion of the first (104a) and second (104b) removable portion of the second release liner (104).
12. 12. The covering material (100) of claim 11, wherein each of the first tab (105) and the second tab (107) is divided into two tab pieces (105a, 105b, 107a, 107b) by a dividing line (134), the dividing line (134) being a cutting line or a score line.

The dressing has a lateral (x) extension and a longitudinal (y) extension, the adhesive skin contact layer (102) is defined by a pair of lateral edges (106, 108) and a pair of longitudinal edges (109, 110), the first (105) and the second (107) tabs are formed to extend beyond the periphery of the lateral (106, 108) and longitudinal edges (109, 110) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102), and the dividing line (134) is formed in a front 13. The covering (100) of claim 12, wherein the first (105) and second (107) tabs are formed to divide the first (105) and second (107) tabs into respective first and second tab pieces, wherein a lateral extension of the first tab piece (105a) of the first tab (105) is greater than a lateral extension of the second tab piece (105b) of the first tab (105), and a lateral extension of the first tab piece (107a) of the second tab (107) is less than a lateral extension of the second tab piece (107b) of the second tab (107).
14. The dressing (100) of any one of claims 1 to 13, wherein the second release liner (104) includes a plurality of slits (112) extending therethrough.
15. 15. The dressing (100) of claim 14, wherein at least 80% of the slits (112) are formed to extend in the same direction as the edge portion (102b) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102).

The dressing (100) of any one of claims 1 to 15, further comprising an absorbent pad (113) disposed between the backing layer (101) and the adhesive skin contact layer (102), the backing layer (101) and the adhesive skin contact layer (102) being formed to extend beyond the periphery of the absorbent pad (113) to define a boundary portion (114) along the contour of the absorbent pad (113).
17. 17. The dressing (100) of claim 16, wherein the edge portion (102b) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102) constitutes 10-60%, for example 30-50%, of the surface area of the border portion (114).

A manufacturing method (300) for manufacturing a dressing (100) including the first release liner (103) and the second release liner (104), the manufacturing method (300) comprising: - providing a dressing (100) comprising a backing layer (101), an adhesive skin contact layer (102), and optionally an absorbent pad (113) arranged between said backing layer (101) and said adhesive skin contact layer (102), said adhesive skin contact layer (102) comprising a central portion (102a) and edge portions (102b) surrounding said central portion (102a); - applying a second release liner (104) to at least a portion of the edge portion (102b) of said adhesive skin contact layer (102); - applying a first release liner (103) to the central portion of the adhesive skin contact layer (102) of the dressing (100), and the second release liner (104) being disposed between the edge portion (102b) of the adhesive skin contact layer (102) and the first release liner (103); A manufacturing method (300) for manufacturing a dressing (100), comprising:
