Abstract
Description
[Technical field]
[0001] The present invention relates to an insulating cleaner composition, and more particularly to an insulating cleaner composition for high-voltage electrical and electronic communication equipment for preventing electrical fires. [Background technology]
[0002] Conventional insulating cleaner compositions are made by mixing inorganic salts and surfactants, but their range of use is extremely limited due to their limited cleaning function. In the case of semi-solid cleaners for cleaning sewage, most of them add abrasives to components with cleaning ability and blend abrasives with high hardness when used, but such cleaners have problems in that the surface of the object to be cleaned is worn and damaged when used frequently, and the accuracy of the machine device is reduced.
[0003] Among electrical equipment, the most representative is the switchboard, which is installed indoors or outdoors in buildings and substations where a large amount of electricity is consumed, and is an electrical device that manages various switches, instruments, relays, etc. The switchboard is equipped with an operating lever for opening and closing the circuit breaker of the high-voltage main circuit, an air switch for the low-voltage main circuit, a voltmeter, an ammeter, a wattmeter, an integrated wattmeter, a current relay, etc., and a high-voltage current flows through it.
[0004] Recently, in order to improve efficiency by operating production lines and control lines 24 hours a day, companies have been preferring to use cleaning agents with improved insulating properties to perform cleaning processes in an uninterrupted state (power on). However, there has been a problem in that it is difficult to sufficiently increase the dielectric breakdown voltage, which is the most important safety factor in the cleaning work conditions required by companies. [0025] In addition to the above effects, specific effects of the present invention will be described below together with specific details for carrying out the invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
[0026] In this specification, the range of values indicated using the term "to" indicates a range of values including the values described before and after the term as the lower and upper limits, respectively. When multiple upper and lower limit values of an arbitrary numerical range are disclosed, the range of values disclosed in this specification can be understood as any numerical range in which any one of the multiple lower limit values and any one of the multiple upper limit values are the lower and upper limit values, respectively.
[0027] 1. Insulation cleaning agent composition In one embodiment of the present invention, there is provided an insulating cleaner composition comprising n-undecane, n-dodecane, and n-tridecane, wherein the total content of the n-undecane, n-dodecane, and n-tridecane is 87 wt % or more based on the total weight of the insulating cleaner composition.
[0028] In the past, paraffinic hydrocarbons were simply used in insulating cleaning compositions to improve the breakdown voltage, flash point, and natural evaporation performance, and no attempt was made to maximize the breakdown voltage and increase the ignition point by combining the optimal carbon numbers of specific individual compounds that make up the paraffinic hydrocarbon. Also, insulating cleaning compositions that contain paraffinic hydrocarbons with a carbon number of 10 to 12 as the main component have the problem that they are unable to sufficiently increase the breakdown voltage.
[0029] Meanwhile, the flash point is the minimum temperature at which a flammable substance is produced in air and becomes ignitable, whereas the ignition point is the minimum temperature at which a substance ignites and starts burning when heated in air. In the technical field of insulating cleaning agent compositions, evaluations of flash points have been mainly conducted, but the flash point is measured using an artificial flame, and therefore may not be an evaluation criterion that can clearly measure the occurrence of a fire. On the other hand, the ignition point is the temperature at which a substance ignites without an artificial flame, and therefore can be an objective evaluation criterion that can clearly measure the occurrence of a fire. According to one aspect of the present invention, an insulating cleaning composition can be realized that contains 30-45% by weight of n-undecane, 28-35% by weight of n-dodecane, and 20-27% by weight of n-tridecane, and thus can increase the breakdown voltage and maintain the same level of natural volatility as conventional compounds, as well as increase the ignition point to prevent fires, by using an optimal combination of the carbon numbers of specific individual compounds constituting paraffinic hydrocarbons. According to another aspect of the present invention, the insulating cleaning composition can be significantly increased in breakdown voltage by using n-paraffinic hydrocarbons, which have a relatively higher molecular surface area than branched paraffinic hydrocarbons. According to yet another aspect of the present invention, the insulating cleaning composition can be cleaned non-stop without cutting off the power supply, without ozone depleting substances, and is environmentally friendly. According to yet another aspect of the present invention, an insulating cleaning composition can be realized that contains a non-oxidizing substance by combining the optimal carbon numbers of specific individual compounds that make up paraffinic hydrocarbons, prevents damage to electronic components during cleaning, and evaporates naturally after cleaning without leaving any residue. According to yet another aspect of the present invention, an insulating cleaning composition can be realized that can effectively prevent corrosion of objects to be cleaned by combining the optimal carbon numbers of specific individual compounds that make up paraffinic hydrocarbons.
[0030] The configuration of the present invention will be described in more detail below.
[0031] The insulating cleaning agent composition according to one aspect of the present invention may contain a paraffinic hydrocarbon in order to simultaneously increase the dielectric breakdown voltage, the ignition point, and the natural evaporation performance. According to another aspect of the present invention, the paraffinic hydrocarbon can effectively clean dust and fine dirt.
[0032] On the other hand, paraffinic hydrocarbons are simply called paraffins, and are classified into n-paraffins (straight-chain paraffins) in which all of the constituent carbon atoms are linked and arranged in a row, and isoparaffins, which have a carbon chain structure. Paraffinic hydrocarbons may be classified into various types according to the number of carbon atoms n contained therein, such as methane (n=1), ethane (n=2), propane (n=3), butane (n=4), pentane (n=5), hexane (n=6), heptane (n=7), octane (n=8), nonane (n=9), decane (n=10), undecane (n=11), dodecane (n=12), tridecane (n=13), tetradecane (n=14), pentadecane (n=15), and hexadecane (n=16). The lower n-paraffins, such as methane, ethane, and propane, are gases and exist as components of natural gas and petroleum gas. The higher n-paraffins, from pentane (n=5) to hexadecane (n=16), are liquids, while the higher n-paraffins are solids. Isoparaffins tend to have lower boiling points and melting points than n-paraffins with the same carbon number. The lower ones can be used as fuel gases, and the liquid ones with low boiling points can be used as gasoline components.
[0033] The insulating cleaning composition according to the present invention contains n-undecane having 11 carbon atoms in order to simultaneously increase the dielectric breakdown voltage, ignition point, and natural evaporation performance. According to one aspect of the present invention, n-undecane remarkably increases the dielectric breakdown voltage of the insulating cleaning composition compared to branched paraffinic hydrocarbons having the same carbon number, and also increases the ignition point, thereby effectively preventing the occurrence of fire.
[0034] Specifically, the content of n-undecane may be 30 to 45 wt%, 30 to 40 wt%, 30 to 38 wt%, 30 to 36 wt%, 30 to 34 wt%, or 30 to 32 wt%, based on the total weight of the insulating cleaning composition. If the content of n-undecane is less than the above range, problems may occur in that the breakdown voltage and the ignition point are not sufficiently high, whereas if the content exceeds the above range, problems may occur in that the viscosity of the insulating cleaning composition increases excessively, decreasing the natural evaporation performance and leaving residue after cleaning.
[0035] The insulating cleaning composition according to the present invention contains n-dodecane having a carbon number of 12 in order to simultaneously increase the dielectric breakdown voltage, ignition point, and natural evaporation performance. According to one aspect of the present invention, n-dodecane remarkably increases the dielectric breakdown voltage of the insulating cleaning composition compared to branched paraffinic hydrocarbons having the same carbon number, and also increases the ignition point, thereby effectively preventing the occurrence of fire.
[0036] Specifically, the content of n-dodecane may be 28 to 35 wt%, 29 to 34 wt%, 30 to 34 wt%, or 30 to 33 wt%, based on the total weight of the insulating cleaning composition. If the content of n-dodecane is less than the above range, problems may occur in that the breakdown voltage and the ignition point are not sufficiently high, whereas if the content exceeds the above range, problems may occur in that the viscosity of the insulating cleaning composition increases excessively, decreasing the natural evaporation performance and leaving residue after cleaning.
[0037] The insulating cleaning composition according to the present invention contains n-tridecane having a carbon number of 13 in order to simultaneously increase the dielectric breakdown voltage, ignition point, and natural evaporation performance. According to one aspect of the present invention, n-tridecane significantly increases the dielectric breakdown voltage of the insulating cleaning composition compared to branched paraffinic hydrocarbons having the same carbon number, and also increases the ignition point, thereby effectively preventing the occurrence of fire.
[0038] Specifically, the content of n-tridecane may be 20 to 27 wt%, 21 to 27 wt%, 22 to 27 wt%, 23 to 27 wt%, or 24 to 27 wt%, based on the total weight of the insulating cleaning composition. If the content of n-tridecane is less than the above range, problems may occur in that the breakdown voltage and the ignition point are not sufficiently high, whereas if the content exceeds the above range, problems may occur in that the viscosity of the insulating cleaning composition increases excessively, decreasing the natural evaporation performance and leaving residue after cleaning.
[0039] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the total content of n-undecane, n-dodecane and n-tridecane may be 87% by weight or more, 87 to 92% by weight, 87 to 91% by weight, or 87 to 90% by weight based on the total weight of the insulating cleaning agent composition. When the total content of n-undecane, n-dodecane and n-tridecane is within the above range, the dielectric breakdown voltage can be increased and the volatility can be maintained at the same level as in the past, and the ignition point can be increased to prevent fires.
[0040] The insulating cleaner composition according to the present invention may further contain n-decane having 10 carbon atoms in order to simultaneously increase the dielectric breakdown voltage, the ignition point, and the natural evaporation performance.
[0041] Specifically, the content of n-decane may be 6 to 13 wt%, 6 to 12 wt%, 6 to 11 wt%, 7 to 10 wt%, or 8 to 10 wt%, based on the total weight of the insulating cleaner composition. If the content of n-decane is less than the above range, a problem may occur in that the breakdown voltage and the ignition point are not sufficiently high, whereas if the content of n-decane is more than the above range, a problem may occur in that the cleaning power is reduced.
[0042] The insulating cleaning composition according to the present invention may further contain n-Tetradecane having a carbon number of 14 in order to simultaneously increase the dielectric breakdown voltage, the ignition point, and the natural evaporation performance. According to one aspect of the present invention, n-Tetradecane significantly increases the dielectric breakdown voltage of the insulating cleaning composition compared to branched paraffinic hydrocarbons having the same carbon number, and also increases the ignition point, thereby effectively preventing the occurrence of a fire.
[0043] Specifically, the content of n-tetradecane is 0.10 to 4.00 wt%, 0.20 to 3.50 wt%, 0.20 to 3.10 wt%, 0.30 to 3.10 wt%, or 0.40 to 3.10 wt%, 0.50 to 3.10 wt%, or 0.60 to 3.10 wt%, based on the total weight of the insulating cleaning agent composition. Specifically, if the content of n-tetradecane is less than the above range, the breakdown voltage and the ignition point may not be sufficiently high. If the content of n-tetradecane is more than the above range, the viscosity of the insulating cleaning agent composition may increase excessively, decreasing the natural evaporation performance and leaving a residue after cleaning.
[0044] According to yet another embodiment of the present invention, the insulating cleaning composition may be free of n-nonane having a carbon number of 9. By not including n-nonane, the insulating cleaning composition can appropriately control the volatilization rate of the insulating cleaning composition to improve cleaning efficiency.
[0045] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the dielectric breakdown voltage of the insulating cleaning composition may be 98.7 kV or more, or 100 kV or more, in accordance with the KSC IEC 60156:2003 test standard. When the dielectric breakdown voltage of the insulating cleaning composition satisfies the above numerical range, a suitable switchboard environment can be realized and a fire can be effectively prevented.
[0046] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the ignition point of the insulating cleaning composition may be 230°C or more or 230 to 240°C according to the ASTM E-659 test standard. Meanwhile, the flash point is the minimum temperature at which a flammable substance is produced in air and can ignite, whereas the ignition point is the minimum temperature at which a substance ignites and starts burning when heated in air. In the technical field of insulating cleaning compositions, evaluations of flash points have been mainly performed, but the flash point is measured using an artificial flame, so it may not be an evaluation criterion that can clearly measure the occurrence of a fire. Meanwhile, the ignition point is the temperature at which a substance ignites without an artificial flame, so it can be an objective evaluation criterion that can clearly measure the occurrence of a fire. When the ignition point of the cutting cleaning composition is within the above numerical range, the occurrence of a fire can be effectively prevented.
[0047] If necessary, the insulating cleaner composition according to the present invention may further contain an additive to enhance various performances of the insulating cleaner composition. For example, the content of the additive may be 1.0 wt % or less, 0.8 wt % or less, 0.5 wt % or less, 0.4 wt % or less, 0.3 wt % or less, 0.2 wt % or less, 0.1 wt % or less, or 0.01 to 0.10 wt % based on the total weight of the insulating cleaner composition.
[0048] For example, the additive may include one or a mixture of two or more selected from the group consisting of isopropyl alcohol, 1,1-difluoroethane, 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane, and pentafluoroethane. First, isopropyl alcohol is a low-hydric alcohol and may be added to reduce the viscosity of the insulating cleaner composition. Second, 1,1-difluoroethane improves the cleaning power by mixing with paraffin-based hydrocarbons and reduces the pressure during the process of preparing the composition, so that it is not necessary to form a thick mixing and storage container, thereby reducing the manufacturing cost. Second, 1,1,1,2-tetrafluoroethane may be added to further enhance the cleaning power of the insulating cleaner composition by mixing with the paraffin-based hydrocarbons. Next, pentafluoroethane is a colorless, odorless, and highly volatile compound, which can induce the insulating cleaner composition to evaporate quickly after cleaning, and can play a role in preventing the cleaner from remaining on the surface of the object to be cleaned.
[0049] The insulating cleaner composition according to the present invention may be in the form of a solution in which all components are uniformly mixed. Specifically, the insulating cleaner composition is in the form of a solution in which all components are uniformly mixed, which may provide advantages such as easy preparation, convenient portability and storage, as well as easy blending with additives. Specifically, the individual paraffinic compounds constituting the insulating cleaner composition may be filled into a container without a separate stirring process, thereby allowing the insulating cleaner composition to be easily prepared.
[0050] 2. Application of insulating cleaning agent composition The insulating cleaner composition according to an embodiment of the present invention can effectively clean dust and fine dirt from power equipment where it is difficult to cut off the power supply. For example, the insulating cleaner composition may be used to clean extra-high voltage (22.9 kV to 220 kV), high voltage (3.3 kV to 6.6 kV) multiplier panels, VCB panels, low voltage (380 V to 440 V) panels, ACB & MCCB panels, control panels, PLCs, switch panels, electric vehicle resistors, filter reactors, vehicle switchboards, etc.
[0051] Hereinafter, the embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail so that a person having ordinary knowledge in the technical field to which the present invention belongs can easily carry out the embodiments. However, this is merely an example, and the scope of the present invention is not limited to the following content.
[0052] [Production Example 1: Production of insulating cleaner composition] An insulating cleaner composition was prepared according to the composition shown in Table 1 below. Each individual component contained in the insulating cleaner composition was analyzed by gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS).
[0053] [Table 1]
[0054] [Experimental Example 1: Evaluation of Insulating Cleaning Agent Composition] The insulating cleaner composition of Production Example 1 was evaluated for dielectric breakdown voltage, ignition point, drying property, specific gravity, corrosive sulfur, total acid number, and moisture performance by the following measurement methods.
[0055] 1) Dielectric breakdown voltage The dielectric breakdown voltage of the insulating cleaning composition of Preparation Example 1 was measured according to the KS C IEC 60156:2003 test standard (measurement conditions: 25°C and 2.5 mm). On the other hand, when the electric field applied to an insulating material becomes large and reaches a certain value, a phenomenon in which a large current suddenly flows and the material becomes like a conductor is called dielectric breakdown. In this case, the voltage that causes dielectric breakdown is called dielectric breakdown voltage. The higher the dielectric breakdown voltage, the better the performance required for cleaning electrical switchboards in an uninterrupted state where the power supply is not cut off.
[0056] 2) Ignition point The ignition point is the lowest temperature at which a substance ignites and starts to burn when heated in air, and is the temperature at which the vapor of a volatile liquid starts to burn in the presence of a source of fire. The ignition point (°C) of the insulating cleaning agent composition of Preparation Example 1 was measured according to ASTM E-659, and the higher the ignition point, the lower the risk of ignition.
[0057] 3)Dryness According to the KS M 2109:2020 test standard, the drying property of the insulating cleaner composition of Preparation Example 1 was evaluated under measurement conditions (23°C and 4 hours). Specifically, when the object to be cleaned is in a non-adhesive state, this means that the drying property is excellent.
[0058] 4) Specific gravity The specific gravity of the insulating cleaner composition of Preparation Example 1 was evaluated according to the ASTM D-1298 test standard.
[0059] 5) Corrosive sulfur When a test switchboard was cleaned with the insulating cleaner composition of Preparation Example 1, the presence or absence of corrosion of the test switchboard was evaluated according to the KS C 2101:2017 test standard. The evaluation of the corrosive sulfur was performed under the measurement conditions of 140°C and 19 hours.
[0060] 6) Total acid number The total acid value of the insulating cleaner composition of Preparation Example 1 was measured according to the KS C 2101:2017 test standard. The total acid value is the amount of alkali (mg KOH) required to neutralize the acid contained in the insulating cleaner composition of Preparation Example 1. The lower the amount of alkali, the less alkali is required to neutralize the acid contained in the insulating cleaner composition, which means that the insulating cleaner composition has excellent emulsion stability.
[0061] 7) Water The insulating cleaner composition of Preparation Example 1 was sprayed onto a test switchboard, and the moisture content remaining on the switchboard was measured according to the KS C 2101:2017 test standard (KF coulometric titration method). The lower the moisture content, the better the spontaneous volatility of the insulating cleaner composition of Preparation Example 1 after cleaning.
[0062] [Table 2]
[0063] In Table 2, when Comparative Examples 1 and 2 and Example 1 are compared in terms of the content and carbon number of individual compounds constituting n-paraffin, it can be seen that the total content of n-undecane, n-dodecane and n-tridecane is 87 wt % or more based on the total weight of the insulating cleaner composition, so that the dielectric breakdown voltage reaches 100 kV or more, the insulation of the insulator is not effectively broken down, and the content of moisture remaining in the switchboard is significantly low, resulting in excellent spontaneous volatility.
[0064] In addition, when Comparative Example 1 and Example 1 are compared in terms of the content and carbon number of individual compounds constituting n-paraffin, it can be inferred that the total content of n-undecane, n-dodecane, and n-tridecane is 87 wt % or more based on the total weight of the insulating cleaning agent composition, thereby increasing the ignition point and effectively preventing the occurrence of a fire.
[0065] [Experimental Example 2: Viscosity measurement of insulating cleaner composition] The kinematic viscosity at 40° C. of the insulating cleaner compositions according to Comparative Examples 1 to 3 and Example 1 was measured in accordance with the ASTM D445 test standard.
[0066] [Table 3]
[0067] Comparing Comparative Example 3 and Example 1 in terms of the content and carbon number of individual compounds constituting n-paraffins in Table 3, in the case of Comparative Example 3, as the content of n-paraffins with carbon numbers of 13 and 14 increases, the kinetic viscosity of the insulating cleaning agent composition becomes excessively high, which may cause problems such as a decrease in spontaneous evaporation performance and residue remaining after cleaning. On the other hand, Example 1 has a lower kinetic viscosity than Comparative Example 3 and is therefore excellent in spontaneous evaporation performance, which may result in no residue remaining after cleaning.
[0068] Although the preferred embodiments of the present invention have been described in detail above, the scope of the present invention is not limited thereto, and various modifications and improvements made by those skilled in the art using the basic concept of the present invention defined in the following claims also fall within the scope of the present invention.
