DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0010] According to certain aspects of the present disclosure, a method and system for electronic transaction communication with an external pet adoption system are disclosed. Conventional techniques may not be suitable for this purpose because they sometimes rely on the pet owner to manually contact an external service such as a pet protection facility to search for a pet to adopt. Furthermore, conventional techniques were unable to take into account the existing pet data of pets that had been abandoned and deposited in a protection facility. In such techniques, incompatible platforms and many combinations of usernames and passwords may be used, and the pet owner may not be aware that the pet's data exists.
[0011] In the process of raising pets, a large amount of pet data may be created, managed, and stored. However, in the case of pets that are discarded and housed in a pet protection facility, there is a possibility that such pet data may be separated from the pet. Once the pet is sent to the protection facility, important pet data such as vaccination records, pet activity data, and analysis results of pet gene data may be lost. Furthermore, since most pet data information sources are independent of each other, there have been problems such as the need for multiple usernames and passwords, the need to remember the addresses of various information sources, and the loss of pet data.
[0012] As will be described in detail below, in various embodiments, a system and method for dynamically managing electronic transactions of pet adoption data will be described. The system and method can receive a pet selection from a user system. Next, the system and method can send a confirmation notice (including at least one user record and at least one pet record) indicating that the pet has been adopted. Next, the system and method can determine whether at least one owner profile corresponding to the at least one user record exists in the data store. If a matching owner profile does not exist in the data store at that time, the system and method can create a new owner profile using the information in the at least one user record. Next, the system and method can determine whether at least one pet profile corresponding to the at least one pet record exists in the data store. If a matching pet profile does not exist in the data store at that time, the system and method can create a new pet profile using the information in the at least one pet record. Next, the system and method can associate the new pet profile with the new owner profile.

The one or more requests can be requests for adoptable pets that match one or more parameters included in the request. Upon receiving the one or more requests, the external service 162 can search one or more databases to find one or more pets that match. Then, the external service 162 can send a response to the individual optimization matching module 154, the search engine 156, or both. The response can include that one or more pets have been matched. Alternatively, for example, if no matching pets are found, the response can include some expression indicating that no matching pets have been found. In some embodiments, the adoption system 152 can store in a database such as an internal database or an external database (e.g., database 104) that one or more pets have been matched.
[0041] The adoption system 152 displays the one or more matched pets to the potential adopter. At that time, options are also displayed for the potential adopter to select whether to adopt the one or more matched pets by transfer or purchase. Also, the adoption system 152 can assist in adopting the one or more matched pets by transfer or purchase. In some embodiments, the adoption system 152 can communicate with the external service 162 to assist in adopting the one or more matched pets by transfer or purchase.
[0042] If the pet owner candidate takes in the pet through transfer or purchase, the intake system 152 can store and manage the pet transfer / registration record 160. In some embodiments, the intake system 152 can receive all (or part) of the pet transfer / registration record 160 from an external service. In some embodiments, the intake system 152 can store the pet transfer / registration record 160 in one or more pet profiles 118. Additionally or alternatively, the intake system 152 can also store the pet transfer / registration record in the owner profile 120. For example, the content management system 164 can receive a personalized optimized wellness plan 146 from the diagnostic system 142. In that case, the personalized optimized content 168 can be based on (or include) information derived from the personalized optimized wellness plan 146.
[0046] Genetics system The genetics system 170 can analyze and monitor the genetic data of pets. The genetics system 170 can be an internal component or an external component of the platform 102 and can communicate with the platform 102 via the API 106.
[0047] The genetics system 170 can include a genetic data analysis unit 172, a genetic data monitoring unit 174, an individual optimization recommendation 176, or any combination thereof. Additionally, either or both of the genetic data analysis unit 172 and the genetic data monitoring unit 174 can receive support for the analysis and monitoring of genetic data by communicating with an external service 180. Examples of the external service 180 include research institutes, clinics, veterinarians, etc.
[0048] The genetic data analysis unit 172 can receive the genetic data of pets. In some embodiments, the genetic data analysis unit 172 can receive genetic data from a genetic data search system 178. The genetic data search system 178 can obtain and store the genetic data of one or more pets. Additionally, the genetic data analysis unit can also receive from the genetic data search system 178 the genetic data used for the analysis of the pet's genetic data. The genetic data analysis unit 172 can analyze the genetic data to identify abnormalities, potential genetic traits, kinship, etc. In some embodiments, the genetic data analysis unit 172 can also receive support for genetic data analysis by communicating with an external service 180. For example, the genetic data analysis unit 172 can send genetic data information to a research institute, and the research institute can perform the analysis of the genetic data.
[0049] The gene data monitoring unit 174 can monitor the gene data of a pet and identify changes in the gene data. For example, the gene data monitoring unit 174 can receive new gene data and compare the new gene data with the gene data stored in the past. Through this comparison, the gene data monitoring unit 174 can identify whether there are abnormalities or improvements in the gene data. In some embodiments, the gene data monitoring unit 174 can also communicate with the external service 180 to analyze the gene data and have the external service 180 determine whether changes have occurred.
[0050] The genetics system 170 can provide the user with individualized optimization recommendations 176. For example, the genetics system 170 can provide the user with individualized optimization recommendations 176 via the user interface of the user device. In some embodiments, the individualized optimization recommendations can be based on the gene data analysis results 172, the gene data monitoring results 174, or both. The individualized optimization recommendations 176 can include recommendations for pet food, exercise, pet supplies, health check-ups or regular physical examinations, etc. In some embodiments, the individualized optimization recommendations 176 can be based on communication with one or more external services. For example, the genetics system 170 can communicate with the diagnostic system 142. The genetics system 170 can send a request to the diagnostic system 142 to obtain an individualized optimization wellness plan 146. This request can include, for example, the gene data analysis results 172, the gene data monitoring results 174, or both. In response, the diagnostic system 142 can transmit the individualized optimization wellness plan 146 to the genetics system 170. In this case, the individualized optimization wellness plan 146 can be based on the gene data analysis results 172, the gene data monitoring results 174, or both. Then, the genetics system 170 can provide the user with individualized optimization recommendations 176 based on the individualized optimization wellness plan 146.
[0051] In some embodiments, the genetics system 170 can include information for pet identification. For example, on social media websites, users are frequently asked to confirm their identity in order to display that they are "verified" (e.g., a blue checkmark). The genetics system 170 can include information corresponding to a physical examination of the pet. Such information may include pet identification information. For example, the identification information includes confirmation information about the pet's breed, gender, image, etc. Social media websites can use such identification information to authenticate the pet as a "verified" user.
[0052] Third-party service system The third-party service system 182 enables users to search for and book various external services 190 such as groomers, trainers, veterinarians, holistic care (nutritionists, naturopaths, etc.). The third-party service system 182 can be an internal component or an external component of the platform 102 and can communicate with the platform 102 via the API 106.
[0053] The third-party service system 182 can include a search engine 184, a reservation engine 186, a management component 188, or any combination thereof.
[0054] The search engine 184 enables users such as pet owners to search for external services 190 for the pets they keep. The search engine 184 can have a filtering function to assist in fine-grained searches. The filtering function can include general filtering, service-specific filtering, or both. For example, general filtering includes filtering external services 190 by location, price range, and rating. In addition to this, for example, service-specific filtering includes filtering external services 190 by the breed for which they are specialized, health problems, and behavioral needs.
[0055] The reservation engine 186 enables a user to make a reservation for an external service 190. For example, a user who has searched for an external service 190 using the search engine 184 can then make a reservation for a specific service among the external services 190 found by the search using the reservation engine 186. The reservation engine 186 can present available date and time slots for the selected external service 190. Next, the user can use the reservation engine 186 to select a date and time from the displayed available slots. As soon as the reservation is confirmed, the user can receive a text message, an email, etc. for reservation confirmation. Also, the user can pay the fee for the reserved service immediately at the time of reservation. Alternatively, the user can pay the fee when the service is completed. The user can upload a photo or enter a memo for the external service 190. For example, the user can upload a photo of a dog to the trimmer or attach a memo stating that the user's dog is dragging its leg.
[0056] The management component 188 can provide a function to manage various external services 190. For example, the management component 188 can provide a function that enables an external service 190 to register with the third - party service system 182 and deregister from the third - party service system 182. The management component 188 can store information corresponding to the external service 190 (such as name, business identifier, field of expertise, etc.) by communicating with one or more databases (for example, the database 104), cloud storage (for example, the cloud storage 114), or both.

[0069] Exemplary method for dynamically managing new pet data FIG. 3 shows an exemplary method 300 of an exemplary embodiment for facilitating an electronic transaction of new pet data according to one or more embodiments. Note that the method 300 can be executed by one or more processors of a server that communicates with one or more user devices and other external systems via a network. However, it should be noted that the method 300 can also be executed by any one or more of the server, one or more user devices, and other external systems.
[0070] The method can include a step (step 302) of sending, by one or more processors, a request for at least one new pet record to at least one external service (e.g., one or more external services 162). The at least one new pet record can include new pet data about one or more new pets. A pickup system (e.g., pickup system 152), a platform (e.g., platform 102), or both can send this request to the one or more external services. The new pet data can include at least one of a name, microchip data, a photo, a video, an age, a color, a coat length, a breed, a secondary breed, a transfer fee, a gender, a size category, a current weight, a biological species, whether the pet can be ridden, whether the pet is required to be an experienced person to receive the transfer, whether the pet has been spayed / neutered, whether the pet has been housebroken, whether the pet has received scheduled vaccinations, whether the pet has had its claws removed, and whether the pet has special requests. Further, in some embodiments, the one or more external services can correspond to one or more pet protection facilities, animal breeders, etc. Each of the one or more external services may have its own data storage system and its own communication protocol. The request sent to the one or more external services can be a request specific to a particular external service in the form of a particular communication protocol of the particular external service.
[0071] In some embodiments, an external service can include (hold) at least one catalog. The at least one catalog can be stored in a data store of the at least one external service. Further, the at least one catalog can include at least one record, and the at least one record can include pet information corresponding to a certain pet. The format of the record may be different from the format of the data store of the platform / intake system (e.g., database 104). The external service (e.g., external service 162) can send the pet record of the catalog to the intake system (e.g., intake system 152). When there is a change in the state of the pet, the external service can accordingly send the pet record to the intake system. For example, when the state of a certain pet changes to "adoptable", the corresponding pet record can be sent to the intake system. Further, when the state of a certain pet changes to a state other than "adoptable", a request to delete the pet record or to update the pet record according to such a state change can be sent to the intake system.
[0072] The method can include, by one or more processors, receiving (step 304) at least one new pet record from at least one external service (e.g., one or more external services 162). The new pet corresponding to the one or more new pet records can include a pet that has just been recently transferred or a pet that has just been recently handed over to a protection facility (e.g., external service 162). Further, the request can be received in the form of a specific communication protocol of the external service. Thereby, the intake system can receive the new pet record from the external service-specific (one or more) data storage systems.
[0073] In some embodiments, the method can include steps for one or more processors to determine whether one or more new pet records contain pet data. If a new pet record does not contain pet data for at least one new pet, the method can stop. On the other hand, if a new pet record contains pet data for at least one pet, the method can continue to analyze the pet data within the new pet record.
[0074] The method can also include steps for one or more processors to convert new pet data within at least one received new pet record (step 306). For example, an intake system (e.g., intake system 152) can convert a received new pet record into a standardized format. The intake system can be equipped with the function of converting data received via different types of communication into a standardized format in order to standardize the received data. For example, the intake system can standardize a new pet record received from an external service.
[0075] The method can also include steps for one or more processors to store the converted new pet data in a corresponding pet record (step 308). For example, the converted new pet record can be stored in a data store (e.g., database 104) by an intake system (e.g., intake system 152).
[0076] The method can include steps to send a "New Pet" notification (New Pet Alert: "NPA") to a user based on this when a stored pet record matches at least one pet search. This method will be described in the following description of FIG. 4.
[0077] Note that although FIG. 3 shows exemplary blocks of an exemplary method 300, in some embodiments, the exemplary method 300 shown in FIG. 3 may be one in which blocks are added, reduced, changed, or reordered. Additionally or alternatively, two or more blocks of the exemplary method 300 may be executed simultaneously.
[0078] Exemplary method for dynamically managing pet search data FIG. 4 shows an exemplary method 400 of an exemplary embodiment for dynamically creating a "New Pet" notification ("NPA") to facilitate electronic transactions of pet search data according to one or more embodiments. Note that method 400 can be executed by one or more processors of a server that communicates with one or more user devices and other external systems via a network. However, it should be noted that method 400 can also be executed by any one or more of the server, one or more user devices, and other external systems.
[0079] The method can include, by one or more processors, receiving one or more pet search records (step 402). For example, the one or more pet search records can be obtained from a data store (e.g., database 104), and the one or more pet search records can include pet search parameters. Further, the one or more pet search records can be associated with one or more users who entered the search parameters. In some embodiments, when the adoption system (e.g., adoption system 152) receives at least one new pet record, the adoption system can process the one or more pet search records. For example, the method can include continuously processing the newly received pet record to determine whether the new pet record matches the one or more pet search records. In some embodiments, the method can include waiting to process pet records until a threshold amount of pet records is received from one or more external services (e.g., external service 162).
[0080] This method can include a step (step 404) of identifying at least one pet record that matches one or more pet search records by one or more processors. A pet search record can include one or more parameters. For example, the one or more parameters can include breed, age, weight, etc. The intake system (e.g., intake system 152) can determine that there is a match if at least one of the parameters of the pet search record matches the pet data within the pet record. For example, if the pet search record includes a certain age range (e.g., in the range of 5 to 10 years old), and there is pet data indicating that the age of the pet is within the age range of the pet search record (e.g., the pet is 7 years old), it can be determined that there is a match.
[0081] Once at least one matching pet record is identified, this method can include, in response, a step (step 406) of identifying at least one user associated with one or more pet search records by one or more processors. The identification step can include analyzing one or more pet search records to determine the associated user information (e.g., user name, identifier, etc.). In some examples, the associated user information can correspond to the user who performed the pet search. Also, in some embodiments, the identification step can include creating a search saver table associated with the user if the search saver table does not exist.
[0082] Once the at least one user is identified, the method can include, in response, associating, by one or more processors, the identified at least one user with at least one matching pet record (step 408). In some embodiments, the associating step can include adding the pet record to a lookup table associated with the user by a pickup system (e.g., pickup system 152).
[0083] The method can include transmitting, by one or more processors, at least one pet record to a user device corresponding to a user associated with one or more pet lookup records (step 410). In some embodiments, a pickup system (e.g., pickup system 152) can transmit the (one or more) pet records to the user device via one or more notifications.
[0084] In some embodiments, the method can include receiving, by one or more processors, an alert notification that the user has deactivated / suspended their account. Additionally or alternatively, the alert notification can indicate that the user has been added to a "Do Not Contact" list. For example, the data storage (e.g., database 104) can separately include a "Do Not Contact" table, and this "Do Not Contact" table can include a list of users with whom the platform and / or the intake system should not communicate. The method can include the intake system (e.g., intake system 152), the platform (e.g., platform 102), or both receiving the alert notification from an external service (e.g., external service 162). The method can also include searching a search server table to find a search corresponding to such a user among the stored searches. For example, the search server table can include one or more search records, and the search server table can be stored in a database (e.g., database 104). The method can also include deleting the search corresponding to the user among the stored searches from the NPA search queue. The NPA search queue can include one or more search records of valid searches. The NPA search queue can be stored in a database (e.g., database 104).
[0085] In some embodiments, the method can include receiving, by one or more processors, an alert notification that the inactivation / suspension of the user's account has been lifted. Additionally or alternatively, the alert notification can indicate that the user has been removed from the "Do Not Contact" list. The method can include the step of the pick-up system (e.g., pick-up system 152), the platform (e.g., platform 102), or both receiving the alert notification from an external service (e.g., external service 162). The method can also include the step of searching a search server table to find a search corresponding to such user from among the stored searches. The method can further include the step of moving the search corresponding to the user from the search server table to the NPA search queue.
[0086] In some embodiments, the method can include creating a search record based on user input by one or more processors. For example, a user can create a search for a particular type of pet by entering one or more parameters. For example, the parameters can include pet-specific parameters and location-specific parameters. Pet-specific parameters can include at least one of name, microchip data, photo, video, age, color, hair length, breed, sub-breed, transfer fee, gender, size category, current weight, biological species, whether the pet can be ridden, whether being an experienced person is a requirement for receiving the transfer, whether the pet has been spayed / neutered, whether the pet has been house-trained, whether the pet has received scheduled preventive vaccinations, whether the pet has had a declawing operation, and whether the pet has special requests. Location-specific parameters can include geographical location corresponding to the user or an external service (e.g., external service 162), postal code, abbreviation of country name, etc. In some embodiments, the method can include calculating the geographical location corresponding to the user or the protection facility. For example, the geographical location can be calculated using earth coordinates. The location-specific parameters can also include a geographical range. In some embodiments, a bounding box representing the search target area can be calculated using the geographical location and / or geographical range.
[0087] Also, in some embodiments, the method can include storing the above search as a search record by one or more processors. For example, a pickup system (e.g., pickup system 152) can store the search record in a data store (e.g., database 104). Additionally, for example, the search record can also be stored in a search server table.
[0088] Also, in some embodiments, the method can also include updating the NPA search queue by one or more processors. For example, a user can access a previously stored search and update one or more parameters of the search. Next, the intake system or platform (e.g., platform 102) can update the corresponding search record in the NPA search queue. Additionally, the intake system or platform can also update the corresponding search record in the search server table.
[0089] In some embodiments, the method can include moving a valid search from the search server table to the NPA search table by one or more processors. After storing the search record in the search server table, the platform (e.g., platform 102) or the intake system (e.g., intake system 152) can move the valid search to the NPA search table. The NPA search table can store search records for which the search is valid and the user is valid. For example, search records corresponding to users on the "Do Not Contact" list can be configured not to be moved to the NPA search table.
[0090] Note that FIG. 4 shows exemplary blocks of an exemplary method 400, but in some embodiments, an exemplary method 400 can be provided with additional blocks, fewer blocks, modified blocks, or a different order of blocks in the blocks shown in FIG. 4. Additionally, or alternatively, two or more blocks of the exemplary method 400 can be executed simultaneously.
[0091] Exemplary method for dynamically managing pet adoption data FIG. 5 shows an exemplary method 500 of an exemplary embodiment for dynamically managing electronic transactions of pet adoption data according to one or more embodiments. Note that method 500 can be executed by one or more processors of a server that communicates with one or more user devices and other external systems via a network. However, it should be noted that method 500 can also be executed by any one or more of the server, one or more user devices, and other external systems.
[0092] The method can include, by one or more processors, receiving, from a user device, a pet selection indicating that the user desires to adopt a pet (step 502). The pet selection can indicate that the user desires to adopt (e.g., receive a transfer of) a pet. In some embodiments, the adoption system (e.g., adoption system 152) can display one or more prompts on one or more user interfaces of the user device. For example, the one or more prompts can request the user to provide information for finalizing a pet adoption decision. Such information can include, for example, payment information (e.g., credit card information), personal information (e.g., the user's name, date of birth, etc.), confirmation of consent to terms of use, and the like.
[0093] This method can include, in response to a user finalizing a decision to adopt a pet, a step (step 504) of sending, by one or more processors, a confirmation notification indicating that the pet has been adopted. In some embodiments, an adoption system (e.g., adoption system 152) can send a confirmation notification indicating that the user has completed the adoption process to a platform (e.g., platform 102). The confirmation notification can include at least one user record and at least one pet record. The at least one user record can include user information (e.g., some or all of the information required for an owner profile (e.g., owner profile 202)). In some embodiments, the user can create an owner profile before finalizing a decision to accept a pet transfer. Also, the at least one pet record can include at least a portion of the information required for a pet profile (e.g., pet profile 204).
[0094] This method can include a step (step 506) where one or more processors determine whether at least one owner profile (e.g., owner profile 202) corresponding to at least one user record exists in a data store. For example, an intake system can determine whether at least one owner profile corresponding to at least one user record exists in a data store (e.g., database 104). For example, a platform (e.g., platform 102), an intake system (e.g., intake system 152), or both can search for an owner profile (e.g., owner profile 202) stored in one or more databases (e.g., database 104) to determine whether there is at least one owner profile that matches the information in at least one user record. Additionally, or alternatively, a confirmation notice may include an owner identifier (e.g., owner identifier 212) of an existing owner profile (e.g., owner profile 202). In such an embodiment, the platform and / or the intake system can identify the owner profile using the owner identifier.
[0095] If it is determined that such at least one owner profile does not exist in the data store, this method can include a step (step 508) where one or more processors create a new owner profile based on the at least one user record. For example, an intake system or a platform can create a new owner profile. Also, an intake system or a platform can create a new owner profile using at least a part of the information included in the at least one user record (e.g., the user's name, address, etc.).
[0096] The method can include a step (step 510) of determining, by one or more processors, whether at least one pet profile corresponding to at least one pet record exists in a data store (e.g., database 104). For example, the platform and / or intake system can search for pet profiles (e.g., pet profile 204) stored in one or more databases (e.g., database 104) to determine whether there is at least one pet profile that matches the information in at least one pet record. For example, the platform and / or intake system can analyze the owner profile to determine whether there is a pet profile that matches the information in at least one pet record. If the owner profile (e.g., owner profile 202) does not include a pet profile that matches the information in at least one pet record, the platform and / or intake system can automatically create a new pet profile based on the at least one pet record by one or more processors (step 512). Further, the method can also include a step (step 514) of associating the new pet profile with a new owner profile by one or more processors when the new pet profile is created.
[0097] In some embodiments, the platform (e.g., platform 102) and / or the retrieval system (e.g., retrieval system 152) can search all data stores regardless of the corresponding owner profile to find at least one pet profile that matches the information within at least one pet record. If at least one matching pet profile is found, the platform and / or the retrieval system can determine whether the matching pet profile contains the corresponding owner profile (or data identifying the corresponding owner profile). If the matching pet profile contains the corresponding owner profile, the platform and / or the retrieval system can analyze this owner profile to determine whether the owner profile matches a new owner profile corresponding to at least one of the above user records. If the owner profile does not match the new owner profile, the platform and / or the retrieval system can disassociate these owner profiles and pet profiles. And further, the platform and / or the retrieval system can associate the pet profile with the new owner profile.
[0098] Further, the method can include steps (step 516) in which one or more processors utilize data of the owner profile or pet profile for interaction with one or more external systems. For example, the platform and / or the pick-up system can utilize the owner profile, pet profile, or both for interaction with one or more external systems (e.g., at least one of the wellness system 124, diagnostic system 142, pick-up system 152, content management system 164, genetics system 170, third-party service system 182). In some embodiments, the platform and / or the pick-up system can send a request to the diagnostic system to obtain the pet's medical history. In such embodiments, the request can include the pet's microchip information (e.g., microchip information 234). Upon receiving the request, in response, the diagnostic system (e.g., diagnostic system 142) can send a request to one or more external services (e.g., external service 162) such as a veterinarian to obtain the pet's medical history. The request can include the pet's microchip information. Upon receiving the request, in response, the external service can search veterinary records to find the pet's veterinary records corresponding to the microchip information. Then, the external service can send the matching veterinary records to the diagnostic system. Upon receiving the matching veterinary records, the diagnostic system can send the matching veterinary records to the platform, and the platform can store the matching veterinary records in the pet profile (e.g., as the veterinary history 232 of the pet profile 204).
[0099] Note that FIG. 5 shows exemplary blocks of an exemplary method 500. However, in some embodiments, the exemplary method 500 can be such that additional blocks, reduced blocks, changed blocks, or reordered blocks are applied to the blocks shown in FIG. 5. For example, the device 700 can include a central processing unit (CPU) 720. The CPU 720 can be any type of processor device, for example, any type of dedicated or general-purpose microprocessor device. As will be understood by those skilled in the art, the CPU 720 can also operate alone or as one of the processors in a multi-core / multi-processor system that operates as a cluster of multiple computing devices or as a server farm. Also, the CPU 720 can be connected to a data communication infrastructure 710 (e.g., a bus, message queue, network, or multi-core message passing scheme).
[0113] Device 700 can also include a main memory 740 (e.g., random access memory (RAM)) and can further include an auxiliary memory 730. The auxiliary memory 730 (e.g., read-only memory (ROM)) can be, for example, a hard disk drive or a removable storage drive. Such a removable storage drive can be composed of, for example, a floppy disk drive, a magnetic tape drive, an optical disk drive, or a flash memory. The removable storage drive in this example reads and writes to a removable storage unit in a well-known manner. The removable storage unit can be composed of a floppy disk, a magnetic tape, an optical disk, etc., and its reading and writing can be performed by the removable storage drive. As those skilled in the art will understand, generally, such a removable storage unit comprises a computer-usable storage medium storing computer software, data, or both.
[0114] In an alternative embodiment, the auxiliary memory 730 can also include other similar means for enabling the loading of a computer program or other instructions into the device 700. Examples of such means include combinations of a removable storage unit and an interface that enable the transfer of software and data from the removable storage unit to the device 700, such as a program cartridge and a cartridge interface (e.g., such as those found in video game devices), or a removable memory chip and its corresponding socket (e.g., EPROM or PROM).
[0115] Device 700 may also include a communications interface (COM) 760. The communications interface 760 enables the transfer of software and data between Device 700 and an external device. The communications interface 760 can include, for example, a modem, a network interface (such as an Ethernet card), a communication port, a PCMCIA slot and a PCMCIA card, etc. The form of software and data transferred via the communications interface 760 can be in the form of signals receivable by the communications interface 760, such as electronic signals, electromagnetic signals, optical signals, etc. These signals can be supplied to the communications interface 760 via the communication path of Device 700. Such a communication path can be implemented using a communication channel such as a wire or cable, an optical fiber, a telephone line, a cellular phone link, an RF link, etc.
[0116] Since the hardware elements, operating systems, and programming languages of such devices are essentially conventional, those skilled in the art are presumed to be sufficiently proficient in them. Alternatively, a server can also be implemented by appropriate programming of a single computer hardware platform.
[0117] Aspects of the technology can be considered to be in the form of "products" or "articles of manufacture" that are representative in the form of executable code and / or related data carried or embodied by some kind of machine-readable medium. Media of the type of "storage" media include any or all of tangible memories such as computers, processors, or their related modules (e.g., various semiconductor memories, tape drives, disk drives, etc.) that can always provide a non-transitory storage location for software programming. All or part of this software can also be transmitted via various communication networks such as the Internet. Such communication makes it possible, for example, to load software from one computer or processor to another, such as loading software from a management server or host computer of a mobile communication network to a server computer platform, or loading software from a server to a mobile device. Therefore, other types of media on which software elements can be carried include light waves, radio waves, electromagnetic waves (e.g., physical interfaces between local devices, wired and optical fixed-line networks, light waves, radio waves, electromagnetic waves used in various air links). Also, physical elements that carry such waves (e.g., wired or wireless links, optical links, etc.) can also be regarded as media carrying software. In this specification, unless limited to non-transitory tangible "storage" media, terms such as computer "readable media" or machine "readable media" refer to any medium involved in providing instructions to a processor to execute the instructions.
[0118] A computer system (e.g., a system or device that implements the processes or steps shown in the above examples) can include one or more computing devices. One or more processors of the computer system can be provided in one computing device, or can be distributed across multiple computing devices. Also, the memory of the computer system can include the memories of each of the multiple computing devices.
[0119] A computer can be configured as a device for executing exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. For example, a computer can be configured in accordance with exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure. In various embodiments, any of the systems described herein can be, for example, a computer equipped with a data communication interface for packet data communication. Also, a computer can include a central processing unit (“CPU”) in the form of one or more processors for executing program instructions. A computer can include an internal communication bus and a storage unit (e.g., ROM, HDD, SDD, etc.) capable of storing data in a computer-readable medium. However, a computer can also receive programming and data via network communication. Also, a computer can have a memory (e.g., RAM) for storing instructions for executing the techniques presented herein. However, the instructions can also be stored temporarily or permanently within other modules of the computer (e.g., processors or computer-readable media). Also, a computer can include input / output ports and a display for connecting to input / output devices such as a keyboard, mouse, touch panel screen, monitor, display, etc. Note that to distribute the processing load, various system functions can be implemented by distributing them across multiple similar platforms. Alternatively, the system can also be implemented by appropriate programming of one computer hardware platform.
[0120] Furthermore, among the embodiments described in this specification, there are some that include some of the features included in other embodiments and do not include some others. However, as those skilled in the art will understand, combinations of features included in different embodiments are also within the scope of the present invention, and it is intended that various different embodiments be formed by such combinations.
[0121] Accordingly, although specific embodiments have been described, those skilled in the art will recognize that additional changes can be made thereto without departing from the spirit of the claims, and it is intended to claim that all such changes and modifications are also included within the scope of the present invention. For example, it is possible to add or delete functions described in a block diagram, swap steps between functional blocks, and the like.
[0122] As described above regarding the subject matter of the present disclosure, this should be considered exemplary and not intended to be limiting, and the appended claims are intended to cover all embodiments such as variations and extensions that are within the true spirit and scope of the present disclosure. Accordingly, the scope of the present disclosure should be determined by interpreting the following claims and their equivalents in the broadest sense permitted by law, and should not be limited or restricted by the detailed description of the invention above. As described above regarding various embodiments of the present disclosure, it will be apparent to those skilled in the art that many more embodiments are possible within the scope of the present disclosure. Therefore, the present disclosure is not subject to limitations other than those based on the claims and their equivalents.
