DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
[0009] Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. However, the present invention is not limited to these embodiments. Furthermore, the components in the following embodiments include those that are easily replaceable by those skilled in the art, or those that are substantially the same.
[0010] [First embodiment] A first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 1 to 4. The terminal module 1 shown in Figure 1 is used for high-speed communication. The terminal module 1 is housed in an outer housing (not shown) to form a connector CN. The connector CN to which the terminal module 1 is applied is used in a connection mechanism that electrically connects a wire harness used in a vehicle such as an automobile to an object to be connected to the wire harness. Here, the wire harness is an assembly component made by bundling multiple electric wires to connect various devices mounted on the vehicle.
[0011] 1 and 2, the terminal module 1 has a wiring material 10, an outer terminal 20 assembled to the tip end of the wiring material 10, an inner terminal 30, an inner housing 40, and an inner sleeve 50. In the following description, the direction in which the wiring material 10 extends is referred to as the axial direction X, the tip end side on one side of the axial direction X is referred to as the front side F, and the other side of the axial direction X is referred to as the rear side B.
[0012] The wiring material 10 is a coaxial cable for differential transmission, a so-called braided shielded wire. As shown in Figures 2 and 3, the wiring material 10 includes a conductive conductor 11, an insulating layer 12 provided on the outer periphery of the conductor 11, a braid 13 provided on the outer periphery of the insulating layer 12, and a covering 14 provided on the outer periphery of the braid 13. The braid 13 covers the conductor 11 via the insulating layer 12. The covering 14 is located outside the braid 13, thereby covering the conductor 11. The wiring material 10 is formed so that its cross section in a direction perpendicular to the axial direction X is approximately circular.
[0013] The conductor 11 is composed of a single wire or a stranded wire made of, for example, copper, aluminum, or an alloy thereof. The insulating layer 12 is made of, for example, an insulating synthetic resin such as vinyl chloride, and is fixed to the outer periphery of the conductor 11 by extrusion molding or the like to prevent the conductor 11 from being exposed to the outside. The braid 13 is formed by weaving together braided wires made of a conductive metal material such as copper or aluminum, and blocks electromagnetic waves. The coating 14 is a sheath made of, for example, an insulating synthetic resin material such as vinyl chloride.
[0014] At the tip of the wiring material 10, the insulating layer 12 and the covering portion 14 are removed by peeling, exposing the conductor portion 11. On the rear side B of the conductor portion 11 exposed at the tip, only the covering portion 14 is removed. As will be described in detail later, the braided body 13 exposed on the front side F of the tip 14a of the removed covering portion 14 has its tip portion folded back.
[0015] The inner terminal 30 is formed in a generally cylindrical shape elongated in the axial direction X from a conductive metal material such as copper or aluminum. The inner terminal 30 is formed by shaping a single metal sheet into the corresponding shapes by various processes, such as press working including punching and bending, so that each part is integrally formed three-dimensionally. A conductor crimping portion 35 is provided at the rear end of the inner terminal 30. The conductor portion 11 is crimped and connected to the conductor crimping portion 35. As a result, the conductor portion 11 exposed at the tip of the wiring material 10 is electrically connected to the inner terminal 30. The inner terminal 30 also has a locking piece 31 protruding radially outward. The locking piece 31 engages with a locking hole 41 of the inner housing 40 (described later). The inner terminal 30 also has a hollow electrical connection portion 33 on the front side F of the conductor crimping portion 35. When the connector CN is mated with the mating connector, a male tab (not shown) of the mating connector is inserted from the front side F, and the electrical connection portion 33 is electrically connected to the inner terminal 30 and the conductor portion 11 via the inner terminal 30.
[0016] An inner housing 40 is provided on the outer periphery of the inner terminal 30. The inner housing 40 is formed in a generally cylindrical shape that is long along the axial direction X. The inner housing 40 is made of an insulating resin material. The inner housing 40 is provided with locking holes 41 that are opened in the radial direction. As described above, the locking pieces 31 of the inner terminal 30 are engaged in the locking holes 41, thereby fixing the inner housing 40 to the inner terminal 30. The inner housing 40 encloses the inner terminal 30 together with a portion of the conductor portion 11 from the front end to the rear end of the inner terminal 30, and insulates the inner terminal 30 and the conductor portion 11 from the outer terminal 20.
[0017] An inner sleeve 50 is provided on the outer periphery of the braid 13 in the portion where the covering portion 14 of the wiring material 10 has been removed, i.e., in the portion F forward of the tip 14a of the covering portion 14, corresponding to the tip portion of the insulating layer 12. In other words, the inner sleeve 50 is provided on the wiring material 10 concentrically with the conductor portion 11 on the rear side B of the inner terminal 30.
[0018] As shown in FIG. 4 , the inner sleeve 50 has a cylindrical main body 51 and a protruding portion 52 that protrudes radially outward from an end 51a on a front side F of the main body 51. The protruding portion 52 is formed in an annular shape. The protruding portion 52 is provided with a large-diameter portion 52b formed at the front end of the inner sleeve 50 and an inclined portion 52c that connects the large-diameter portion 52b to the main body 51 on a rear side B of the large-diameter portion 52b. The outer and inner diameters of the large-diameter portion 52b are set larger than the outer and inner diameters of the main body 51. The outer peripheral surface of the inclined portion 52c is formed as an inner-side inclined surface 52a that is inclined so that the outer diameter decreases from the front side F to the rear side B. The inner peripheral surface of the inclined portion 52c is formed as an inclined surface that is approximately parallel to the outer peripheral surface of the inclined portion 52c (the inner-side inclined surface 52a).
[0019] The inner sleeve 50 is made of a conductive metal material such as copper or aluminum. The inner sleeve 50 is made by bending a single plate material having a portion corresponding to the protrusion 52 into a substantially cylindrical shape, and then crimping and press-welding the ends of the plate material together to form the abutting crimp portion 53. As shown in Fig. 3, the inner sleeve 50 is crimped and assembled to the outer periphery of the braid 13, which is in contact with the outer periphery of the insulating layer 12 of the wiring material 10. The inner periphery of the main body 51 of the inner sleeve 50 is in close contact with the braid 13.
[0020] 3, the braid 13 on the front side F of the insulating layer 12 is folded back from the inner circumferential surface side of the inner sleeve 50 via the front end of the inner sleeve 50 and is arranged along the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 50, including the outer periphery of the protrusion 52. The tip 13a of the folded back braid 13 is arranged up to near the rear end of the main body 51 of the inner sleeve 50.
[0021] The outer terminal 20 has a housing portion 21 on the front side F and a crimping portion 22 on the rear side B. The inner terminal 30, to which an inner housing 40 is attached, is housed in the internal space 21a of the housing portion 21. An inner sleeve 50 is housed inside the crimping portion 22. A fixed crimping portion 22f is provided at the rear end of the crimping portion 22, and the wiring material 10 including the covering portion 14 is crimped and fixed thereto. In this way, the outer terminal 20 is assembled to the wiring material 10 so as to house the inner terminal 30 and the inner sleeve 50.
[0022] The outer terminal 20 is made of a conductive metal material such as copper or aluminum and has a generally cylindrical shape that is long in the axial direction X. Like the inner terminal 30, the outer terminal 20 is formed by shaping a single sheet metal into the corresponding shapes by various processes, such as press working including punching and bending, so that each part is integrally formed three-dimensionally. The outer terminal 20 is electrically connected to the terminals of the mating connector when the connector CN is mated with the mating connector. A plurality of openings 21b are formed around the axial direction X at the tip of the outer terminal 20, each of which has a generally rectangular shape that is long in the axial direction X (see also FIG. 1). A flange portion 21c is provided on a rear side B of the openings 21b. Meanwhile, a notched portion 22b is provided on a front side F of the fixed crimping portion 22f of the crimping portion 22, where a portion of the peripheral wall forming the outer terminal 20 is cut out.
[0023] As shown in FIG. 3 , the crimping portion 22 sandwiches the folded-back braid 13 between itself and the protruding portion 52 of the inner sleeve 50, thereby electrically connecting the braid 13 and the outer terminal 20. The crimping portion 22 has a large diameter portion 22c, a small diameter portion 22e, and an inclined portion 22d that inclines and connects the large diameter portion 22c and the small diameter portion 22e. The large diameter portion 22c is formed on the front side F of the small diameter portion 22e. The inner circumferential surface of the inclined portion 22d is an outer-side inclined surface 22a. The outer-side inclined surface 22a is inclined so that its inner diameter decreases from the front side F to the rear side B in correspondence with the inner-side inclined surface 52a. The outer-side inclined surface 22a is formed approximately parallel to the inner-side inclined surface 52a of the inner sleeve 50. The inner circumferential surfaces of the large diameter portion 22c and the small diameter portion 22e have approximately constant inner diameters.
[0024] The outer terminal 20 is formed by bending a single plate-like member into a substantially cylindrical shape, and then crimping and pressing the ends of the plate-like member together to form the abutting crimp portion 27 (see also FIG. 1 ). To attach the outer terminal 20 to the wiring material 10, first, the inner terminal 30, to which the inner housing 40 is attached, is inserted into the internal space 21a of the outer terminal 20 with the crimp portion 22, including at least the fixed crimp portion 22f, open (i.e., the abutting crimp portion 27 corresponding to the crimp portion 22 is not formed). At this time, the inner sleeve 50 is attached to the wiring material 10 with the braid 13 folded back along the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 50. After the inner housing 40 is inserted into the internal space 21a of the outer terminal 20, the crimp portion 22 is crimped. The crimp portion 22 is crimped by first crimping the large-diameter portion 22c, the inclined portion 22d, and the small-diameter portion 22e. Then, the braided body 13 folded back onto the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 50 is sandwiched between the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 50 and the inner periphery of the large diameter portion 22c, the inclined portion 22d, and the small diameter portion 22e of the crimped portion 22 of the outer terminal 20 (specifically, the inner periphery of the inclined portion 22d and the large diameter portion 22c and the small diameter portion 22e before and after the inclined portion 22d). Then, the inner sleeve 50 is fixed to the outer terminal 20, and the braided body 13 and the outer terminal 20 are electrically connected. Thereafter, the fixing crimped portion 22f is crimped onto the outer periphery of the covering portion 14 of the wiring material 10, thereby fixing the outer terminal 20 to the wiring material 10.
[0025] In the terminal module 1, the braid 13, which is folded back and arranged around the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 50, exists from the inclined portion 52c to the tip 13a, so that the contact portion between the outer terminal 20 and the braid 13 is long. Therefore, by forming the protrusion 52 at the front end of the inner sleeve 50, even if a force is applied that pulls the wiring material 10 toward the rear side B and the outer terminal 20 toward the front side F, it is possible to reduce the possibility of the braid 13 and the outer terminal 20 losing contact.
[0026] Furthermore, since the braided body 13 is sandwiched between the inner-side inclined surface 52a and the outer-side inclined surface 22a, the braided body 13 is in face-to-face contact at this portion and is held with low surface pressure. Therefore, while the face-to-face contact ensures a reliable electrical connection, even if the outer terminal 20 and the wiring material 10 are pulled in opposite directions, the braided body 13 can be reduced from being cut at the crimped portion 22.
[0027] [Variations] A modified example of the first embodiment will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6. In this modified example, a ring-shaped (annular) support 60 is provided between the inner circumferential surface of the large-diameter portion 52b of the protruding portion 52 at the front end portion of the inner sleeve 50 and the braid 13 on the inner circumferential surface side of the inner sleeve 50. The annular outer circumferential surface 61 on the rear side B of the support 60 is an inclined surface following the inner circumferential surface of the inclined portion 52c of the protruding portion 52 of the inner sleeve 50. The front end surface 62 of the support 60 is flush with the front end surface of the inner sleeve 50 or is located on the rear side B of the front end surface. In other words, the front end surface 62 of the support 60 does not protrude from the front end surface of the inner sleeve 50. The inner circumferential surface 63 of the support 60 abuts against the braid 13. Since the inner surface of the protrusion 52 is supported by the support body 60, deformation of the protrusion 52 of the inner sleeve 50 can be reduced when the crimping portion 22 of the outer terminal 20 is crimped.
[0028] [Second embodiment] Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 7 to 10. As shown in Figure 7, a terminal module 201 in the second embodiment is provided with an inner sleeve 250 with a folded-back tip, instead of the inner sleeve 50 of the terminal module 1 in the first embodiment. Hereinafter, the same members and parts as those in the first embodiment will be given the same reference numerals, and their description will be omitted or simplified.
[0029] As shown in FIGS. 7 and 8, the inner sleeve 250 has a cylindrical main body 251 and a protruding portion 252 that protrudes radially outward from an end 251a on the front side F of the main body 251. The protruding portion 252 of the inner sleeve 250 is formed by folding back an edge portion of the main body 251. Therefore, the front end of the protruding portion 252 of the inner sleeve 250 is formed in a substantially arc shape (R-shape) when viewed in a cross section along the axial direction X as shown in FIG. 7. An inner-side inclined surface 252a is formed at the rear end of the protruding portion 252 of the inner sleeve 250. The inner-side inclined surface 252a corresponds to the outer-side inclined surface 22a of the outer terminal 20. The inner sleeve 250 has a substantially constant inner diameter from the front end to the rear end (from the inner peripheral surface of the protruding portion 252 to the inner peripheral surface of the main body 251).
[0030] As shown in FIG. 9, the inner sleeve 250 is formed using a plate material 250a, which is a single sheet of conductive metal material such as copper or aluminum. The front-side F edge of the plate material 250a, which forms the main body 251, is formed with an inclined surface 252a1, which will become the inner-side inclined surface 252a after assembly to the wiring material 10. The front-side F edge 251b of the main body 251 is folded back so that the inclined surface 252a1 faces outward, forming the plate material 250b shown in FIG. 10. The inner sleeve 250 is assembled to the wiring material 10 by placing the surface of the plate material 250b not having the inclined surface 252a1 on the outside of the braid 13 and bending it around the axial direction X to press the ends 250b1 together to form the abutment crimping portion 253 (see FIG. 8). In this manner, the inner sleeve 250 can be assembled to the wiring material 10.
[0031] The inner circumferential surface of the inner sleeve 250 corresponding to the protruding portion 252 is a surface that is continuous with the inner circumferential surface of the main body portion 251. Therefore, the inner circumferential surface of the protruding portion 252 is in pressure contact with the insulating layer 12 via the braided body 13, and therefore the protruding portion 252 is supported without using the support member 60 as shown in the modified example of the first embodiment.
[0032] [Third embodiment] Next, a third embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to Figures 11 to 20. A terminal module 301 according to the third embodiment shown in Figure 11 has an inner sleeve 350 in which a part of the covering portion 14 is positioned on the front side F, instead of the inner sleeve 50 in the first embodiment. Hereinafter, the same members and parts as those in the first embodiment will be denoted by the same reference numerals, and their description will be omitted or simplified.
[0033] The covering portion 14 of the wiring material 10 has a divided covering portion 142 arranged forward and spaced apart from a base portion 141 on the rear side in the axial direction X. Between the divided covering portion 142 and the base portion 141 in the covering portion 14 of the wiring material 10, a braided body intermediate exposed portion 131 is provided, where the braided body 13 is exposed. As shown in FIGS. 11 and 12 , the inner sleeve 350 has a tubular main body portion 351 and a protruding portion 352 that protrudes radially outward from an end portion 351a on the front side F of the main body portion 351. The protruding portion 352 has a large diameter portion 352b on the front side F and an inclined portion 352c that connects the large diameter portion 352b to the main body portion 351. The outer peripheral surface of the inclined portion 352c is an inner-side inclined surface 352a. A chamfered portion 352b1 is formed in a C-chamfered shape on the outer periphery of the front end of the large diameter portion 352b of the protruding portion 352. The chamfered portion 352b1 prevents the corners from coming into contact with the braid 13 provided on the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 350. The large diameter portion 352b of the protruding portion 352 has an outer diameter and an inner diameter set larger than the outer diameter and the inner diameter of the main body portion 351.
[0034] 12, an inner circumferential surface 352d1 extending from the tip of the chamfered portion 352b1 to the rear end of the large-diameter portion 352b has a substantially constant inner diameter. Furthermore, an inner circumferential surface 352d2 of the inclined portion 352c is inclined substantially parallel to the inner-side inclined surface 352a. As shown in FIG. 11, the inner sleeve 350 has an inner circumferential surface 352d corresponding to the protruding portion 352 (the large-diameter portion 352b and the inclined portion 352c) in close contact with the outer circumferential surface 142a of the rear side B, which is a part of the divided covering portion 142, and an inner circumferential surface 351d of the main body portion 351 on the rear side B beyond the protruding portion 352 in close contact with the braid 13 of the braid middle exposed portion 131.
[0035] Next, the assembly procedure of the terminal module 301 will be described with reference to FIGS. 13 to 20. First, as shown in FIG. 13, the wiring material 10 is prepared. Next, as shown in FIG. 14, the covering 14 at the tip portion of the wiring material 10 is removed to expose the braided body 13. Also, a slit H is made around the axial direction X at a position a predetermined length along the axial direction X from the front end of the covering 14 on the rear side B. Next, as shown in FIG. 15, the covering 14 on the front side F where the slit H was made is moved forward. The portion of the covering 14 that has moved from the base 141 to the front side F is defined as a divided covering portion 142. The portion of the braided body 13 exposed between the divided covering portion 142 and the base 141 is defined as a braided body middle exposed portion 131. Then, as shown in FIG. 16, the inner sleeve 350 is assembled to the wiring material 10. The inner sleeve 350 is formed by bending a sheet of conductive metal material such as copper or aluminum so that it is wrapped around the wiring material 10, and then the ends are pressed together to form a crimped abutment portion 353. The inner sleeve 350 is arranged concentrically with the wiring material 10. The inner sleeve 350 is arranged so that a portion of the divided covering portion 142 is located on the front side F in the axial direction X of the inner sleeve 350. That is, as described above, the inner sleeve 350 is positioned in the axial direction X so that the inner circumferential surface 352d of the protruding portion 352 is in close contact with the outer circumferential surface 142a of the rear side B of the divided covering portion 142, so that the divided covering portion 142 is exposed on the front side F of the front end of the inner sleeve 350, and the inner circumferential surface 351d of the main body portion 351 is in close contact with the braid 13 of the braid middle exposed portion 131. 17, the braid 13 is folded back from the end of the front side F of the divided covering portion 142 and disposed from the outer periphery of the divided covering portion 142 to the outer periphery of the inner sleeve 350, including the outer periphery of the protruding portion 352. In other words, the braid 13 is folded back from the divided covering portion 142 along the outer periphery of each of the inner sleeves 350, from the front side F to the rear side B in the axial direction X of the divided covering portion 142. Then, as shown in FIG. 18, the insulating layer 12 on the front side F of the divided covering portion 142 is stripped and removed from near the end of the front side F to expose the conductor portion 11. Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 19, the inner terminal 30 is crimped and assembled to the conductor portion 11, and as shown in FIG. 20, the inner housing 40 is assembled to the inner terminal 30.Thereafter, the inner housing 40 and the inner terminal 30 are inserted into the outer terminal 20 with the rear side B opened from the crimping portion 22, and the crimping portion 22 including the fixed crimping portion 22f is crimped to form the terminal module 301 shown in FIG.
[0036] Since the inner circumferential surface 352d of the inner sleeve 350 corresponding to the protruding portion 352 is in close contact with the divided covering portion 142, the protruding portion 352 is supported from the inner circumferential surface 352d side by the divided covering portion 142, which reduces deformation of the protruding portion 352 due to crimping of the crimping portion 22, reduces displacement of the inner sleeve 350 along the axial direction X, and stabilizes the attachment position. Furthermore, since the folded-back portion of the braided body 13 abuts against the tip of the divided covering portion 142, the relatively soft covering portion 14 (divided covering portion 142) reduces the load applied to the braided body 13 when the wiring material 10 is pulled to the rear side B.
[0037] The terminal modules 1, 201, 301 described above include a wiring material 10 including a conductive conductor portion 11, a braided body 13 covering the conductor portion 11, and an insulating covering portion 14 that is positioned outside the braided body 13 and covers the conductor portion 11; an inner terminal 30 that is electrically connected to the conductor portion 11 exposed at the tip of the front side F, which is one side in the axial direction X of the wiring material 10; and a cylindrical main body portion 51, 251, 351 that is connected to the wiring material 10 concentrically with the conductor portion 11 at the rear side B, which is the other side in the axial direction X of the inner terminal 30. and an inner sleeve (50, 250, 350) provided in the wiring material (10) and having a protrusion (52, 252, 352) protruding radially outward from an end (51a, 251a, 351a) on the front side (F) in the axial direction (X) of the main body (51, 251, 351); and an outer terminal (20) assembled to the wiring material (10) to accommodate the inner terminal (30) and the inner sleeve (50, 250, 350), and including a crimping portion (22) electrically connected to the braided body (13) by sandwiching the folded-back braided body (13) between the protrusion (52, 252, 352).
[0038] Because the protrusions 52, 252, 352 of the inner sleeve 50, 250, 350 are located at the front end of the inner sleeve 50, 250, 350, the length of the braided body 13 folded back from the protrusions 52, 252, 352 to the rear side B can be increased, thereby lengthening the contact area between the outer terminal 20 and the braided body 13 and reducing the likelihood of the electrical connection between the outer terminal 20 and the braided body 13 being interrupted even when the wiring material 10 and the outer terminal 20 are pulled in opposite directions. When the wiring material 10 and the outer terminal 20 are pulled in opposite directions, the protrusions 52, 252, 352 are held between the outer terminal 20. In this way, the terminal module 1, 201, 301 can properly assemble the wiring material 10 and the terminals (outer terminal 20, inner terminal 30).
[0039] In addition, the protrusions 52, 252, 352 of the inner sleeves 50, 250, 350 have inner inclined surfaces 52a, 252a, 352a whose outer diameters are inclined so as to decrease from the front side F to the rear side B in the axial direction X, and the outer terminal 20 has outer inclined surfaces 22a whose inner diameters are inclined so as to decrease from the front side F to the rear side B in the axial direction X corresponding to the inner inclined surfaces 52a, 252a, 352a, and the braided body 13 is sandwiched between the inner inclined surfaces 52a, 252a, 352a and the outer inclined surfaces 22a. As a result, the folded braided body 13 is sandwiched between the inner-side inclined surfaces 52a, 252a, 352a and the outer-side inclined surface 22a, which are configured as surfaces, and therefore, even when the wiring material 10 and the outer terminal 20 are pulled in opposite directions, it is possible to reduce excessive force being applied to the braided body 13. Furthermore, in addition to the frictional forces between the outer peripheral surfaces of the inner sleeves 50, 250, 350, the braided body 13, and the inner peripheral surface of the crimped portion 22 of the outer terminal 20, a holding force in the axial direction X can always be obtained by the inner-side inclined surfaces 52a, 252a, 352a and the outer-side inclined surface 22a.
[0040] Moreover, protrusion 252 is formed by folding back end edge 251b of main body 251. This allows the front end of inner sleeve 250 to be rounded, thereby reducing the occurrence of scratches on braid 13 that is folded back and placed on the outer periphery of inner sleeve 250.
[0041] Furthermore, the inner sleeve 350 is provided so that a part of the divided covering portion 142, which is the covering portion 14, is located on the front side F in the axial direction X relative to the inner sleeve 350, and the braided body 13 is provided by folding back from the divided covering portion 142 along each outer periphery of the inner sleeve 350 from the front side F to the rear side B in the axial direction X of the divided covering portion 142. This allows the flexible divided covering portion 142 to be kept in contact with the folded back portion of the braided body 13, which is likely to be subjected to force when the wiring material 10 is pulled.
[0042] The covering portion 14 has a divided covering portion 142 arranged at a distance from a base portion 141 on the rear side B in the axial direction X to a front side F, and a braided body intermediate exposed portion 131 where the braided body 13 is exposed is provided between the divided covering portion 142 and the base portion 141. The inner circumferential surface 352d of the inner sleeve 350 corresponding to the protruding portion 352 is in close contact with the outer circumferential surface 142a on the axial rear side B, which is part of the divided covering portion 142, and the inner circumferential surface 351d of the main body portion 351 on the rear side B beyond the protruding portion 352 is in close contact with the braided body 13 of the braided body intermediate exposed portion 131. As a result, the protruding portion 352 is supported from the inner circumferential surface 352d side by the divided covering portion 142, and a hole is formed to reliably fix the main body portion 351, stabilizing the attachment position of the inner sleeve 350.
[0043] In addition, the protrusions 52, 252, 352 are formed in an annular shape, which allows the braided body 13 to be sandwiched annularly between the outer terminal 20 and the protrusions 52, 252, 352. This reduces the surface pressure applied to the braided body 13, thereby reducing the load on the braided body 13.
[0044] The terminal modules according to the above-described embodiments of the present invention are not limited to the above-described embodiments, and various modifications are possible within the scope of the claims. For example, in the present embodiment, the terminal modules 1, 201, and 301 are provided with an inner housing 40, but this may be omitted. In the present embodiment, the wiring material 10 is provided with an insulating layer 12, but a wiring material without the insulating layer 12 may also be used. In the third embodiment, the terminal module 301 is provided with a divided covering portion 142 and a braided body intermediate exposed portion 131. However, for example, the divided covering portion 142 and the braided body intermediate exposed portion 131 may not be provided, and the covering portion 14 may be provided on the front side F of the inner sleeve 350.
[0045] The terminal module according to this embodiment may be configured by appropriately combining the components of the above-described embodiments and modified examples. [Explanation of symbols]
