Abstract
This provides an antibody that can bind to EGFRvIII but not to wild-type EGFR. [Solution] Monoclonal antibodies and antigen-binding fragments that specifically bind to epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) variant (v)III, their conjugates, and chimeric antigen receptors are disclosed. Nucleic acid molecules encoding heavy and light chain domains of antibodies and chimeric antigen receptors (CARs) are also disclosed, as are host cells expressing these nucleic acid molecules. Furthermore, the use of these monoclonal antibodies, antigen-binding fragments, conjugates, and T cells expressing CARs is disclosed, for example, for the treatment of tumors expressing EGFRvIII. A method for detecting tumors expressing EGFRvIII is also disclosed.
