This invention provides a point system, a point awarding method, and a point awarding program that can increase the certainty of canceling point awards during the refund process. The subtraction unit subtracts points corresponding to the refund amount from the points to be awarded to the user when a portion of the purchase price is refunded due to the cancellation of the train ticket.
