Vehicle door control system

Abstract

This system provides a vehicle door control system that allows for the pre-selection of doors that are controlled for opening and closing, accurately reflecting the user's preferences. [Solution] The system obtains the parking position where the user will park the vehicle and the conditions inside or outside the vehicle. Then, before the vehicle reaches the parking position and when the vehicle's movement toward the parking position reaches a predetermined progress, the system proposes to the user which doors to be controlled to open or close based on the parking position and the conditions inside or outside the vehicle. After the vehicle reaches the parking position, the system controls the opening and closing of the doors on the vehicle in accordance with subsequent interaction with the user.

Claims

1. A means for obtaining the parking position where the user parks or stops the vehicle, A situation acquisition means that acquires the situation inside or outside the vehicle, A dialogue means generates a text for dialogue with the user before the vehicle reaches the parking position and when the vehicle's movement toward the parking position reaches a predetermined progress, and engages in dialogue with the user using the generated text. The vehicle has a vehicle control means that controls the opening and closing of the doors of the vehicle after the vehicle has reached the parking position. The aforementioned dialogue means is a vehicle door control system that, based on the parking position or at least one of the conditions inside or outside the vehicle, proposes to the user in advance which door is to be controlled for opening and closing.

The vehicle door control system according to claim 1, wherein the conditions inside or outside the vehicle include one or more of the following: the number of occupants currently in the vehicle, the seating positions of the occupants, the number of occupants outside the vehicle who are about to board the vehicle, the standing positions of the occupants outside the vehicle who are about to board the vehicle, the location, quantity, or type of luggage loaded inside the vehicle, the quantity or type of luggage carried by the occupants outside the vehicle who are about to board the vehicle, and the weather.

The aforementioned vehicle control means is If the user's response to the aforementioned proposal indicates agreement with the proposal, control will be performed to open and close the proposed door. If the user's response to the above proposal is to specify a door different from the proposed door as the target for control of opening and closing, the vehicle door control system according to claim 1 or claim 2 further provides control for opening and closing the door specified by the user.
