Abstract

This invention provides a rolling bearing equipped with a cage that offers enhanced shock resistance at low temperatures, enabling a longer service life and making it particularly useful for liquefied gas pumps. [Solution] The rolling bearing comprises at least an inner ring, an outer ring, rolling elements, and a cage. The cage is made of a fibrous structure as a base material, and the spaces between the fibers of the fibrous structure are filled with a cured resin composition. Preferably, the fibrous structure consists of one of natural fibers, inorganic fibers, synthetic fibers, and metal fibers, and preferably the resin component of the resin composition is a thermosetting resin. Furthermore, the above rolling bearing is useful for liquefied gas pumps.

Claims

1. In a rolling bearing comprising at least an inner ring, an outer ring, rolling elements, and a cage, The cage is a rolling bearing characterized in that it uses a fibrous structure as a base material, and the spaces between the fibers of the fibrous structure are filled with a cured resin composition.

2. The rolling bearing according to claim 1, wherein the fiber structure consists of one of natural fibers, inorganic fibers, synthetic fibers, and metal fibers.

3. The rolling bearing according to claim 1, wherein the resin component of the resin composition is a thermosetting resin.

4. A rolling bearing according to any one of claims 1 to 3, for use in a liquefied gas pump.
