Abstract

This invention provides a rolling bearing equipped with a cage that offers enhanced shock resistance at low temperatures, enabling a longer service life and making it particularly useful for liquefied gas pumps. [Solution] The rolling bearing comprises at least an inner ring, an outer ring, rolling elements, and a cage. The cage is made of a fibrous structure as a base material, and the spaces between the fibers of the fibrous structure are filled with a cured resin composition. Preferably, the fibrous structure consists of one of natural fibers, inorganic fibers, synthetic fibers, and metal fibers, and preferably the resin component of the resin composition is a thermosetting resin. Furthermore, the above rolling bearing is useful for liquefied gas pumps.

Claims

1. In a rolling bearing comprising at least an inner ring, an outer ring, rolling elements, and a cage, The cage is a rolling bearing characterized in that it uses a fibrous structure as a base material, and the spaces between the fibers of the fibrous structure are filled with a cured resin composition.
